This weather is crazy! tomorrow is supposed to be 65 degrees!
Ive been such a bum today, but its been great.. I had lunch with ac ouple friends from college--one that is getting married in disney next summer!! Then, ive been lounging around and reading a book

Tonight, a couple friends from high school are meeting for a drink so im being lazy til then!

I just took one of 4 employment placement tests....and I am going to shoo the rest of my family out for awhile later today to finish the others.

I would love any spare pixie dust on Monday that this agency is able to place me quickly.
:wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

You do not bring animals uninvited to someone's home. That is just so wrong on so many levels. Is she too comfortable with you so blind or trying to make a statement that she is in control?
I'm with you on this. Did you smile politely or speak your mind? I hope it was the latter.

the Dis clock is 30 minutes behind and it is annoying
It always is.

Tammi- The weather in NYC during February tends to be cold. It could still snow, ice, etc. It could also be nice. Even if it does snow in NYC or is cold, you are typically not out in it for hours on end. As you are inside or in and out of buildings depending what you decide to do. If you do decide to go, I would love to meet you there. I am in need of a NYC trip. But I will not go there for New Years this year.;) Although it is on my bucket list to spend NYE in Times Square.
Thanks, Becky. That's what I figured. I've been train fare and hotels. I'm thinking staying in Midtown would be our best bet. Of course the rates are a bit higher for the holiday weekend. Has anyone ever used Priceline for hotels? Things I'm interested in doing would be Central Park, Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty, maybe the Children's Museum, Ground Zero, Times Square, and Rock Center. Anything else that I should put on my list that would intrigue the kids. I'll let you know if we go.

so far we are holding out.
I was hoping for a positive update from you.

Bernadette- That Crammer thing is neat, I bet myEmma would like it. Cute, cute houses!!!
I was thinking the same thing about Nicholas.

That is crazy! It is reading 46 degrees now and supposed to be 51 over night with a high tomorrow of 63. :confused3
70 here tomorrow, but with rain.

Well 4 hours at the mall yielded a manicure, 2 sweaters (same style but different colors), a robe for my mom, and a surprise visit with my kids. :yay: They were there with their dad, and his adoptive family. Alyssa is eating better. She had some french toast for breakfast and a corndog for lunch. Hopefully she stays on the mend. Of course she wanted to come home with me, but no deal. :sad2: It was nice to see them. I also got Cheeseburger in Paradise takeout and brought it home with me. Yum!

Bernadette - cute houses.

Amy - loved the card! Thanks.

Remember that Disney Visa Rewards survey I did a few months ago when I was telling you all the things they appear to be revamping. I got a $20 check in the mail today, just for taking the survey. I love free money!

As much as I thought I stayed in touch; try to keep up with the lastest cool vampire. Know the names of the Jonas Brothers. :thumbsup2

So my granddaughter and I go to the mall to spend her birthday GCs and she shops at a store called Pink and comes out with a Victoria Secret shopping bag. :confused3 :confused3

What rock have I been under that I didn't know Victoria Secret has reached out to the teen market with a store called Pink???? :cool2: :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :cool2:

Ditto!!:goodvibes :goodvibes

Mother Nature has surely lost her mind. We had a 3.3 earthquake last night. Or rather this morning. It was a few minutes after midnight. My whole house shook. My DD and DGD were at the movies watching Twilight (again) when it happened. At first I thought my furnace had blown up. I went outside and the house was fine. I finally opened the cellar door and it seemed fine. I wasn't going down there with no one home. I finally went to bed. When I saw my DD this morning, she told how the movie shook. Then we went online and found out it was an earthquake. In PA!!!!

Okay, I guess I have to get my shower and forage for food. Yes, I know it is 2:00 in the afternoon. I needed a pj day!!:yay: :yay:

When the ground shook, I thought something had hit our house, but I was not going to go outside. It was a very loud sound and shook the house a bit. I waited till Hal got home before I got concerned. He said the epicenter was about 5 miles from our house. I do remember the one that happened a few years ago. Very loud sound too that time.

Unless I have to go out, I am wearing PJs the whole time I have off.

I have been in PJ's all day as well.

Vicki, your gift arrived today. I just love it. Actually, I really do like Jim Shore. His pieces are so very nice. Very special looking. He was on the cruise so I was able to get a tinkerbell bell signed by him. He is the nicest person to meet.

I will post pictures.

I will admit that the one ornament that I sent to my three persons is the same thing and then I sent another ornament too. It was to commemorate our four parks in one day event.

I hope you didn't have this one already. I was afraid you might. It just seemed meant to be while I was at Bronner's and there was only 4 individual characters (the others had several characters all together) and 3 of them were the favorites for you, Chanon & Debbie.

Cool. :cool2:
I'm glad you got to see Alyssa and know that she is finally eating!

Well, the stores here usually have the word "PINK" on one of the windows, and there is one section or room of "PINK" merchandise. The rest of the store is still VS. DH got all confused by White Barn Candles being connected to Bath & Body today. :rotfl2:

Becky- Lots of :wizard: for you, your grandfather and family. Glad you ordered your case. I love all the apps that are available. Some are a lot of fun. Just downloaded the Punch Buggy app for the girls.

I was the one who actually had purchased the case actually before the Touch to make sure I had one right away. Well it was broke so I did not have one. What I ordered might not be here until Jan. 23. So now I am not sure what I am going to do.:confused3

I had a heck of a time getting the touch to work but it was the fault of my computers not Apple. As Itunes would not work on my laptop. I even installed the newest version but it did not work. It works now since I uninstalled all of Norton.

I had Itunes on my desktop, but not a current enough edition. I downloaded the new version but could not install it because I was not running service pack 2 for XP. So I had to download and install that. Then I could install a current enough Itunes in order to get it to work.

The touch is working, but I still can not use it wirelessly here as we have no space on the router for anymore wireless items, which I knew ahead of time, but did not take the time to fix. I know we have more then 6 things wireless. Some of the things on the router are rarely used so I have to work on that sometime soon.

So despite all my own wacky computer and related issues I love it and know I will use it a bunch once I have everything worked out.:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Massachusetts looks good around the 4th of July. We'll be up there and could plan a meet. ;)

That might work. I'll have to see what I can work out.

Cool. :cool2:

This was a stand alone store beside a Williams and Sonama. Not beside, or in the Victoria Secret. In fact, not even in the same leg of the mall.:goodvibes

Maybe a show on or off Broadway
American Girl Place (There is a show and cafe but not sure if Nicholas would be willing to do that)
World of Disney
Museum of Natural History (from the Movie Night at the Museum)
Central Park Zoo

Here are some links to companies that do the below mentioned things, there may be other companies as well.

You could do a boat ride that goes around Ellis Island and talks about the area and different things

You could also ride the double decker bus to tour the city

Or you could do a duck tour

Then it's not your fault for not knowing. Ours is connected to VS as well.

Oh yes, I forgot to include a show in my original list. Alyssa might enjoy the AG store, now that she is into Kit. Santa brought her an AG doll, the Just Like Me one, a few years ago and she could care less about it. The Molly and Samantha shows are running on Hallmark on the 31st. I have GOT to remember to tape them for her. And yes, I said TAPE. I'm still in the dark ages here, without TiVo.

I've read that it is easier to take the Staten Island Ferry around the Statue instead of going directly to it. I'll have to see what the kids are up for. Can you still climb up her? The Natural History Zoo would be fun too. Thanks for the links.
