Can someone that is more tech savy than I am please explain this whole download process to me? I'm trying to load songs onto Alyssa's MP3 player that she got. All of my songs from itunes are in MP4 format. Will they still play on an mp3 player? I've tried to convert them to mp3 format but it says they are protected files and won't convert. I don't get it. :confused3

you need a converter....let me see what we have

Thanks, Kristine. I'm working on it now. So is everything from itunes in MP4 format? Or are only some things unable to be converted?

Jackie & Jonathan use I tunes....

Kirsten and I download from limewire and then put it on the mp3 player.

Good Morning. Obviously I'm home and not heading to Boston. Hunter stopped vomiting at around Midnight and is feeling somewhat better today. He is still exhausted and very pale. He is also having pain from his foot issues that had him in tears :sad1: Nick had the runs at around 10 pm last night and then fell fast asleep. We heard him run for the bathroom at 2:00 and he emptied his tummy. Amazingly he went right back to sleep and he hasn't thrown up since. We got everyone up and through the shower this morning. Nick decided that he wasn't well enough to travel so we arranged for my Dad to stay with him since Mom was going with us anyway. Soon after making that phone call I started running...in both directions :sad2: At that point there was no way that I could travel either. Chris and Mom were still going to take Colby and Hunter, but then Hunter decided to stay home and rest so we bagged the whole trip. I called Bernadette hoping to give them our tickets, but they are all sick too  We called several family member in an attempt to give away the 6 tickets to no avail. Much to my suprise my brother called and said they would go. We thought that impossible as SIL's parents and grandmother are staying with them for a few days. SIL's brother and his family are coming to town tonight and I guess he family wanted to rest until then so that freed them up. Mom and Colby ended up going with them. Colby wasn't sure he wanted to go since the museum won't be happening, but he finally decided that it might be fun. I hope they have a quick and safe trip and that they totally enjoy it. The rest of us will do a lot of sleeping today. Chris isn't sick...yet, but only Colby got sleep last night so we can all use the rest.

I'm certainly hoping that luck turns around soon for all of us. Between loss of jobs and illness we seem to have had more than our fair share here. I cannot believe that Lindsay's employer would do lay offs right before the holiday. What ever happened to Good Will toward man :confused3 I hope that she and all others in search of employment can secure something soon. With this economy it may not be the perfect longterm placement, but any gainful employment until things come around.

A few years ago was when Hal was let go right before Christmas. Their excuse was they were cutting costs. So now when they need someone to do the kind of work that he did, they pay twice the cost. Just does not make sense.

Kristine - I'm all set. That converter was just a trial version, but after I purchased it for $15 it seems be working fine. Thanks for the help!

Here's another question. Which earphones do you find work best for small ears? Have you had to buy separate ones?

The kids like the ear bud ones...I can't stand them. We go through tons of ear phones....I have no clue what they do to them...but they break all the time. Now I just buy the cheap ones from walmart....then I don't feel as bad replacing them

what Kristine said!:thumbsup2

We all enjoyed Bolt. I was very impressed with it as I didn't think it looked all that good through the previews. It cost us $20 to get in....$24.50 for the snacks:scared1: Good golly, there's a reason we don't get to go to the full price movie theater often....although we also don't get all the snacks we got this morning.

we don't go to movies very often...but a couple of weeks ago, the 5 of us saw Twilight in one of those upscale Muvico theaters.....the time it was all said & done, with the food it was a $100 day!! Isn't that obscene??!!

so I just got off the phone with India....just once in my life if I could get an English speaking person from this country to answer a computer tech question I would be so thrilled. Unfortunately EVERY time I make a tech call for the computer, I ended up extremely angry!!!!!!!!! I am convinced one of the problems with this country is that we have out sourced all of our customer support....sad :sad2:

That's why we go to the cheaper movies....if we had gone to Marley & Me it probably would have been $12 more....FOR THE CHEAP TIME:scared1:

It's always been hard to justify the cost of a movie but when it goes over the cost of groceries for a week it's absolutely horrendous.

Thanks Kristine for all the help. I put 40+ songs on there for her....Hannah Montana, High School Musical and Kenny Chesney. Kenny and HSM were from CDs. The Hannah stuff was from itunes that I downloaded a long time ago. Now I'm going to see what project I can tackle around the house.

Theresa - I'm glad you enjoyed the movie. I'm sure the fact that it was free doubled your pleasure. ;)

I am glad you got it!! :)

I am puttering around cleaning...but so far all I have accomplished is accidentally dyeing a bunch of towels pink!
