Nope. Just overcast, windy and cold. I didn't think we were supposed to get any sort of rain, but I didn't catch the whole forecast last night.

I don't like the idea of a candy thermometer either, but my fear is I will burn my self bad or burn the house down.

Good luck with the toffee! I won't do any candy that I need to use a thermometer for! They scare me to death!

I forgot to say earlier...my recipe doesn't need a candy thermometer.

I have only used a candy thermometer in my home ec class 20 years ago.
