You guys have some NASTY weather headed your way. Stay safe and warm in your lovely homes with your beautiful Christmas trees and your families!

Many thanks to Deb, Debbie, Marci, Kristine, Jen and Anne Marie for lovely Christmas cards! I have mine here... whether or not I get them signed and mailed is another thing...

What possessed you this year?

Hopefully mine will arrive in the next day or 2. Then I can get them addressed and mailed.

Glad you guys are OK Deb!!!!

Our weather craziness has begun...it is almost 50 degrees here now....and it is dropping to 18 in the next few hours....rain, snow & ice coming...the wind right now is rattling the whole house.

Have I mentioned that I hate this weather!!

It has already started here. It was in the 50's, now it is sleeting outside & the temp is quickly dropping. Should make for an interesting morning & I did not think to bring any salt home from work :sad2:

Stay safe and keep your house extra warm tonight just in case you do lose power, it will take longer to cool off.

Bill has his salt bucket perched on the front porch....I dread the morning

Same advice for you. These freezing rain storms are so unpredicatble.

I think my Team holiday party is going to be called off for tomorrow. I called the guy who is Acting in my position while I'm acting in the Lansing position. He is making some phone calls and will get back with me on the status.

It is basically sleeting here now and is supposed to drop to freezing overnight. Plus, there is a blizzard warning for one of the counties that my former staff are in. I don't want my team driving in this. I was really looking forward to the time with them but will not put their lives at risk for work let alone a meeting/party. I bought a 9# prime rib roast for Chuck to grill. All the food can be saved until it can be rescheduled.

Oh No. I know that you were looking forward to it. Does that mean that you won't be able to travel to Lansing either? If they can't travel then you certainly shouldn't either.

We received a couple more cards too. I have them all taped to our entertainment center. It is nice to have them so visable.

Friday is the last day of school for our kids. Colby has a concert Tuesday night and Nick and Hunter do on Thursday night. I'm doing crafts with Colby's class tomorrow, possibly Family Consumer Science (Home Ec) with Nick on Tuesday and Art and Party with Colby's class on Friday. I'm in for a busy week.

What possessed you this year?

Are you talking to me? :rotfl2: I am always possessed! Ask Bob! :rotfl: The only Christmasey thing I don't have done is cards. I will try to get them done since I don't know if I did last year or not! I remember buying the cutest cards with mittens on them, but I don't remember if I sent them or where I put them if I didn't get around to it. :lmao:

Wow! Our schools are all out this Friday. When I was little we would get out on the 23rd too.

o i wish it was friday--this is going to be a lonnnng week!
Luckily, next tuesday is pretty much nothing--we have a school sing-a-long and lunch and a party...

I will wait until Tuesday either way to head to Lansing. They are going to see how things are in the morning so it might still be on.

Sounds like it, but also sounds like a great way to get into the Christmas spirit!

I am glad you will wait at least until Tuesday to make the drive, Vicki. I hope the weather improves enough for you all to have your party. I know you and Chuck have been looking forward to hosting it.
