All of my exchanges are mailed out.

I have received exchanges from Deb and Glynis.

I do not have to go back to work until Tuesday. :thumbsup2 :cool1: I am taking Monday off as I had a day to use before the end of the year or I would lose it. I have some books to read and movies to watch from the library. I plan on being a lazy bum. I need to mix and make some cookies. I really need to clean but am not sure if it will happen.

Oh, a day off to read and watch movies sounds fantastic! I am jealous! I will be off the 23rd - 28th but DS will be home so I won't have much peace. He entertains himself, but he is NOISY about it! :rotfl:

I just had a great night..i had the houes to myself and turned on the christmas tree lights , wrapped presents and put them under the tree and stuffed stockings for my parents..then i sat and watched The Holiday--so cute and one of my favorite movies!

Now, i think im headed to bed since i was upat 545 this mornign! Nite!

We have been extremely busy the past few days and there is no end in sight!! !
Wow. You make my life seem like a walk in the park. I can't believe how much you get done! My hat is off to you.

Elizabeth - YAY for the tree!

I'M DONE!

Well, as done as I can be. I'm waiting for XH's gift to arrive and then the kids can wrap it. And I'm waiting for them to wrap the photo calendar for my parents. I still need to get them their ornaments, and I need to get gifts for 2 girlfriends and gift cards for teachers. But all the wrapping is done! Oh, and I need to get Bethany's gift. Hopefully Bob will help me with that tomorrow.

I would still like to find the rotating tree stand, if not for this year then for the future. Since the tree is in a corner the side that faces the wall is usually pretty bare. If the tree rotated we could distribute the ornaments much more evenly.

We got one many years back at Sears for $25 after Christmas and LOVE it.

But I only get off Christmas day. I thought about taking off the day after Christmas but decided that I would rather have three short weeks of work in a row.

I also just found out that we are doing Xmas on Dec. 20th with my Mom's side of the family but I probably have an event for work that I need to be at. My Mom probably has to work on Christmas.

Hopefully we will get together with my Dad's side of the family but who knows if it will happen or not.

Alright alright so I didn't go to bed, I watched Unwrapped instead. Also John decided he can't wait for Dec. 09 and booked flights for Feb. 19-26 now we are waiting for the reservation system to come back as its down, but I am thinking that will have to wait until tomorrow.

Elizabeth :yay: for having a Christmas tree, :wizard: that the kitty will leave it alone.

I'm glad you have your tree up Elizabeth.

I'm very proud to say that I have completed my Christmas shopping and wrapping. Tonight I went to DD's and put the crib we bought them together and then Brandon and I put up their Christmas tree, he was so excited!

My SIL is out of town and I wanted Brandon to have his tree so I took matters into my own hands.

All the holiday goodies sound great, there won't be any here though, all that stuff is a HUGE no no. We are planning to make the oreo truffles and candy coated popcorn to give away, both of which are super simple.

Somehow I messed up my download settings on my computer and have no idea how to fix it. I download something, the download box opens, the file downloads after the file has downloaded you can not open any file from the download window. I also can not seem to locate where the files are downloading to. Gotta love Vista.:rolleyes1

I fell asleep on the couch. DH just left for work, so now I am awake!
YAY for a trip!! :yay: How exciting!!

I saw that the trees on display at Sears rotate, but I didn't see a price tag for JUST the stand the day I was looking. I might have to go back over there and see if I can locate a sales associate!

I love the day after Christmas because everything is half price! Calendars, boxes of chocolate, ornaments, all sorts of goodies!

Yay for Brandon's tree!
Sorry about the holiday goodies. :guilty: But I bet if your pants don't fit in January they will be too big. Mine, on the other hand... :rolleyes1

I haven't had that problem, so I don't know how to fix it. If I did have that problem I still wouldn't know how to fix it. I hope you figure it out! :wizard:

Ok, this is totally coming out of the blue, but Alan mentioned yesterday that he really wants to take the kids on a Disney cruise. We've never really seriously talked about it, but he's totally serious now.

Can you tell me where to find all the details about this deal? Or is it just for DVC members? Help me, please. I don't want Alan's fire to go out about this! Katie will be 12 in July, so now would be the best time for us to do this.

Oh you all would have a fabulous time! This deal is perfect for you! :yay:

Absolutely! :goodvibes

BTW, Alyssa didn't say a word about Santa. I thought she was really scrutinizing Mrs. Claus (a friend from church), but later when I asked her about the experience, she said Mrs. Claus was old, not like the young "Miss Jessica" from Santa Claus is Coming to Town! :rotfl:

That's not a new movie, silly Alyssa! :teeth:

Which reminds me, we've never used our wedding china! :rolleyes1

Which is why - blasphemy ahead! - we never registered for any! :rolleyes1

I figured that if/when we have an occasion that we need to use it (especially considering I don't even really like how most looks!) we'll have enough money to buy some .... and really, I'm pretty sure we'll never use it ;)

Instead, we can buy nice sets of dishes for Christmas, etc whenever we want, considering I'll get tired of them in a few years anyway! :teeth:

thanks, Heidi.

All you cruisers, tell me this, can a family of 7 do this in one stateroom? I'm such a novice when it comes to cruising. Any information would be great!

It would have to be a fairly large stateroom (the "lower" category numbers), but it's definitely doable.... and with the kids sailing free, it might not even be a bad price for a really nice stateroom, considering the savings otherwise! :goodvibes

I'm very happy with it. I was really worried about the weight gain. I just didn't want to go back to my pre-surgery body. I think that I can get the rest of the weight off (10 pounds now) fairly quickly once my doctor gives me the ok for exercise again.

That's wonderful!

That's great, Heidi! Does that overlap with Vicki's trip?
