I went to the new Sugarcraft store (no longer a pink building) today and I thought of you as I drove by Jungle Jims.
And, I just saw your pictures of the girls holding their own bottles.
My friend's baby, who is two weeks younger than Noah, can do the same thing. Noah doesn't get that many bottles, but he's not reaching out for toys or objects either. His hands are always in his mouth!
Ugh, I can sympathize! Are his hands red, swollen and FREEZING?! I feel so bad for the girls, but it's their own fault! If only they understood when I explained that they shouldn't do it!

ETA: And as for holding their bottles, it's hit or miss -- especially with Elise. She's usually too ravenous to even breathe while eating, let alone do anything else!

And he kept the bottle until he was 15 mos. old. The other nannies were thoroughly disappointed in me, because everyone knows it is TWELVE mos. to wean off the bottle. Ironically he did hold his own cup, right from the get go. But he never held his own bottle. He kept his pacifier until 21 mos. and then we took it away because his face was all chapped and sore. I had planned to take the pacifier at 18 mos. but I changed jobs and didn't want him to have too much trauma all at once!
