Those of you who do eRewards, have you ever requested a Starbucks gift card? Did it take a LONG time to get to you? I used $50 worth of eRewards to get one and it hasn't arrived. That was a month ago. I know - with our crappy mail service you would think I would know better. But I have gotten 3 or 4 Target gift cards just fine! Oh, well. Easy come, easy go, I guess.

I am also waiting for a check from the STUPID insurance company for an adjustment I made to a policy. I told the lady to mail it last week, and if that wasn't possible I would come get it. Days pass, no check. I called again yesterday. She WAS just going to bring it to me (EXCUSE ME?) but then she didn't have a chance so she mailed it Monday. Well, it didn't come yesterday. If I don't get that check today I am going to be white-hot furious and we are going to SERIOUSLY consider canceling all of our State Farm policies and starting over with somebody else. The way they bungle EVERYTHING should really make me fear for the way they would handle a major claim.

I have perfected a single motion where I remove the wet diaper with my left hand and simultaneously put the dry one on with my right hand. I got my second charge when he was newborn and he peed on the changing table a few times so it was necessary to figure out some sort of system. By the time I had DS I knew how to change him FAST.

My house smells divine!

A 4 1/2 pound turkey breast is in the crockpot with 2 cups of white wine, a stick of butter, and some chopped onions. Yum!

I also tried another new recipe recently:
12 country style pork ribs
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup water

Yum again!

Both are credited to the Crockpot 365 blog.

Well, I braved going out by myself with the baby yesterday. We went to Costco to pick up the Christmas cards. While I was there, I also picked up a DVD of the HBO miniseries "John Adams" for my dad. I hope he'll like it. I know he loved the book, so I'm hopeful! I loved the miniseries! It was phenomenal! Guess if Dad doesn't like it, I can take it for myself and get him something else.

It was kind of scary being alone with Timothy in the car. I've forgotten so much about newborns, and I got spoiled having Alan home last week. I'm glad I did it, though, since now I know I can do it. Good thing, to, since I have to find Katie a white blouse and black skirt for her choir concert on Friday. Not to mention, finishing up the Christmas shopping.

It's just like riding a bike...It all comes back in no time. I'm sure you will be fine taking him out. I always loved having one little on to take out, but when
