DDA Chapter 15

DS got his report card today. Straight B's, with A's in Band and PE. :rotfl: Not too bad. It's 7th grade, not college. These grades will not determine the course the rest of his life will follow. I told him I would like to see more A's next time. If he can manage to continue with B's I am happy with that. I don't want to put too much pressure on him, but I don't want him to think he can just coast and not put any effort into it.

DH said his vacation bid is Wednesday. I guess I will cross my fingers that he can get the dates I already booked, or I will be paying some hefty change fees for the plane tickets and scrambling to adjust our DVC ressie.

My uncle passed early this morning. I want to thank you all for the hugs over the time that he became ill.

My luncheon is over and I have my "face" on for the concert tonight. Off to teach and hoping I have enough time to change into my formal clothes between classes! See you all later on.

I am waiting anxiously to hear more about Jennifer and Kyle and the babies as well as Hunter.

We're hanging in there.... all of us are sick, to varying degrees. I'm hoping it doesn't last long :(

Has anyone seen the Bridget Jone's Diary movies?
I saw the first one this weekend, it was on LMN. I now want to see the second one, maybe I will go and actually rent a movie.

And boy howdy is Colin Firth a cutie. :goodvibes

They are some of our favorites! I own both, have seen them a dozen times and still laugh out loud hysterically at some of them! The books are great, too, but I don't like anything else by the author!

Soooo....

Actually we COULD go Aug. 1-15 IF DH wants to take his weeks back to back again. It would be a $48 change fee after they adjust the plane ticket price because it has DROPPED. There are still 25K mile tickets for those days, so we can switch DH for no charge. I would have to borrow points from our next DVC use year but that's not a big deal. Hmm.

That would mean no Christmas trip, but it would also mean only paying airfare once. Hmm. And DS wouldn't miss school if we just went in August. Hmm. And it might make me less likely to feel like I need a "do over" if the Uncles do join us for a week. Hmm. There is merit to this plan.

I'm sorry for your loss

I just went to buy wrapping paper..party city always has the rolls for a good price. My only issue is that I never know if I have enough.:rotfl:

Ok I starting packing..I put my toothpaste in the bag!!:rotfl2:

By the way, I should tell you the good stuff since I always tell you the bad. Katie was a sweetie pie this weekend (well most of it anyway! ) She was even sitting at the table discussing how Santa gets around the world in one night with Daniel. I think when there is no school pressure then she is more relaxed & not so grouchy. She was playing with Sophie too & being rather helpful. She even sat on my lap & gave me a hug yesterday..I almost passed out!

:cool1: :cool1: That's great news. I hope that the good continues:cool1: :cool1:

Heidi I'm sorry to hear about your credit card. I guess I should check mine online more often, but then I'd be shocked by how much I've spent

Hunter's doctor suspects that it is sinus related, but he has NO other symptoms to back it up. He doesn't feel comfortable ordering antibiotics without other symptoms. He has suggested Aleve in the morning for a week to see if we can break the cycle. If that doesn't work he will go from there.

Nick is now sick. He complained of a cough this morning. When we got home from the doctors he was complaining of a headache and an oncoming cold sore.

I still feel wonky, but nothing has manifested that says "hey stupid your sick" :rotfl:

If you go for 2 weeks you may be able to sneak in a day or two at US for DH and DS

On the other hand, that would make our APs expire too early in 2010. We would need to move our 2010 trip to June. Which I guess is neither here nor there.

Gee I guess no Christmas tree for our party :sad2:

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2022048

That happened for one of the parties we went too as well. The tree may be in the rose garden so you can still see it. That's what they did before. Maybe now they are just not putting it up until after the parade? Not sure.

Ah, so! Another good point! :thumbsup2

Deb, I am sorry the Dr. didn't have anything more conclusive to say. Hopefully the Aleve will help Hunter!

What is everyone having for dinner tonight?
We are having turkey soup, mom is making it. I told John now that mom is across the street, I will let her make the homemade soup. :teeth:

I put in the oven this morning a frozen pork roast and put onions and garlic over it with sauerkraut at 200 degrees. Just checked it and it tastes just devine. I am now boiling potatoes to mash and will also make some spinach. Yum Yum. :goodvibes

Heidi- So sorry for you lose.'s

Vicki- Lots of :wizard: for you

Jennifer- :wizard: that the sickies leave quickly.

Deb- Sorry the dr couldn't give you a more definitive answer.

Elizabeth- :cheer2: Tell DS what a great job he did.

Anne Marie- I am glad Katie had a great weekend.

I am so torn right now. I just found out that the memorial service for Emma's friend's dad is Saturday at 1pm. I have all day training for Girl Scouts. I need to go to the training but I need to be there as well. Eric will be able to go as my mom can come over here and sit with the kids but I want to go.

Yesterday and today I went to Stephanie's home and we worked on our designs for our stateroom door. I must say that they look great. We promise to post lots of pictures from this trip.

I am getting so very excited. I am literally counting the hours now.

Last week the kids were off all week but we had all day camps for them. What that means is when I do the attendence, it will involve a little more time because of the difference in posting.

This week cannot go by fast enough!!!

::yes::
One of the biggest reason's I wanted to see Mama Mia was for Pierce Brosnan, but then I saw Colin and was like... WOW! who's that? (drool)

Colin Firth is one of my favorite actors and DANG! He's hot!!

You got it! Please let us know if we can do anything!

Thanks for the offer. It is just something that I have to deal with at work. Basically, a bad situation presented itself which could have meant chaos for my division. So far things are shaping up better than could have been anticipated. I'll share more when/if I can.

Terry and Stephanie- I hope this helps you get excited for your cruise.

The Magic was at Castaway Cay on Friday and the Wonder came to visit as they had a day at sea. Both of them in the same place does not happen very often.
