DDA Chapter 15

Dinner was with some friends that Randy used to work with. One of them is also my dearest friend and best friend from school. Randy didn't get to go wtih us, as he took the boys to the ranch his family has. Andrew hasn't been since he was an infant and Jake has never been. I've talked to them a couple of times and they are having a great time. We're always so busy with sports that we can't go, but I have a feeling that we'll be making more time in the future.

After dinner we went to a place to hear a couple of bands. I haven't been out that late in a long time. It turns out there was a lot of drama at my house, and I missed it. When I was about to leave the bar, I noticed I had 6 missed calls, and I had been regularly checking my phone. It turns out that the police had been chasing two suspects, and they ran out in the pasture near our house. My BIL heard police helicopters and thought they might be near my house so he went to investigate. He found the sheriff, a game warden and six police cars along with the helicopters around my house. When he couldn't get me to answer the house phone, the police decided that they should go in to the house to make sure everything was okay. (we leave the second garage door cracked a little for the cat.) The alarm was set, but they still checked everything out. By the time I got home, they had moved on to somewhere else looking for the men.

I was very careful, but the garage door down before I got out of the car, headed in to the house and re-set the alarm.

This morning I was up early to treat myself to a pedicure and ran work errands, and finished up a couple of things for myself. I spent some time at work, then got groceries and made it home to wash laundry and decorate a little.

It's been a pretty productive weekend, though I wish I could do more decorating. Maybe that's why it still doesn't seem like it's getting close to Christmas.

Wow, you've had an interesting weekend. I hope that they found the suspects. I would have been scared :scared1: It's nice that you had a day or two to yourself. You are always on the go, I bet the downtime was just what the doctor ordered.

I'm heading to bed. My cards just need stamps then off they go. I feel like I actually made progress today. Hopefully tomorrow will be just as productive.
Good Night all.

Hi everyone-
I read everythign I missed ,but of course, cant remember everything

Glynis--Congratulations!!!

Jennifer-thanks for texting me to let me know about glynis :)

I am home and exhausted--it was an amazing trip!! i am in the middle of typing up a summary/mini trip report to send my cousin..if theres any interest, ill post it here too--it does not seem like its going to be much, but there were some major highlights--including the game, limo ride, playing on the field..

Ill be putting pictures on facebook tonight too if ayone wants to see!

I never, ever thought I would have to do what Marci said about writing things down about Jim but we hit a turning point. He just threatened that he didn't want me to have the girls. :headache: I am trying very hard to be nice but that just turned a page and I just told him so.
Hire the shark. Find the best attorney in your town, the one that sends shivers down the spine of all who hear their name and give that shark a retainer.

Theresa, I will give you some wise advice that I got from Stephanie. Get yourself a snarky lawyer. Get a partial agreement in writing, from a judge. Something. Right now, he could take the girls, clean out the house, take all the money, and there's not a damn thing you can do about it. Get some type of temporary custody and spousal support order legalized. No matter how agreeable/civil it has been, it WON'T stay that way. TRUST ME!
Thanks Tammi!:goodvibes Somehow, they never stay nice no matter how nice they start out. :goodvibes

Great room for Nicholas! Have a wonderful trip. We are at MK on Friday. I would LOVE to see you all there. On Saturday we will be at all 4 parks, so you tell us when you will be and we'll meet up. :hippie:

No matter how good a divorce is, you MUST write things down. You never, ever know when things will turn. I cannot express this loudly enough. My sister had the absolute best divorce any person could hope to imagine. They were best friends, celebrated all holidays together, shopped together, helped each other on their house maintenance projects, she cut his hair, etc. And then he met another woman. Things deteriorated so badly that he has had no contact with them for over 2 years now. Write down EVERYTHING no matter how small it seems now.
Thanks Vicki. I think that about sums it up.:goodvibes

I love this! Ditto!:goodvibes
