Beth- Loved your kids pics too. :goodvibes
I managed to get to bed and be asleep by 9:15pm but was wide awake at 2:30. I did manage to get about another hour or so from 5:30 til 6:30 but I am still so tired, so much so I feel sick to my stomach. Thank goodness I've recruited 2 friends to stay and help out with the sleepover tonight.

Thanks!

I hope that you can get some rest soon!

We have a HoneyBaked store here in town. The prices on the website include S&H... $78 for a half ham and $60 for a turkey breast! Price is not the only deciding factor but those prices are certainly high!

Don't belong to Costco or Sams or BJs. We never need to buy in bulk and they are out of the way for me usually. Do you find it is a cost saver for just the two of you?

Actually Bob and I don't pay full price for a membership...we split it with another couple. Myself and her husband are on a membership together (Sams allows a second person free on their basic membership) and we split the annual cost that way, and sometimes we all go in on a meat order together. I don't really go for bulk shopping per say...maybe for pantry stuff, like cereals, coffee, popcorn...they also sell electronics, toys, Christmas supplies at the holidays and the prices are great on those.
So it's works for me!

Theresa pixiedust: pixiedust: for the interview. And you are better then me, I would not be giving them 40 hours and 2 weeks notice.

It isn't officially 2 weeks...my last day will be the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, espescially since the bonehead isn't "accepting" the resignation until Monday. My last day on that paper is my last day.

The website is now saying delivery by December 1. Although the gentleman I spoke to yesterday said it would probably be sooner. At least I think that is what he said.

I am sorry you have had such trouble with it!! I had a computer call me and "talk" so fast that I have absolutely no clue the number I am supposed to call to get a hold of them. :sad2:

I have done a calendar for mil for the past 3 years. I was planning on giving her this book instead, but Gary wants me to still give her a calendar as well. I just received my confirmation from Snapfish & I received 20% off of calendars good for 9 days. So I guess I will make her a calendar as well!

Boy that was a lot of calendars in that reply :rotfl:
Well in case you need more than 9 days, there is a general public discount, WINTER08, that is good until December 31. It's 20% off as well.

I hope one of your leads works out! Hang in there!

I hope you have a truly Magical day!

Thanks again for the advice for my hometown friend and MVMCP. I told her whatever date she picked, it needed to be a weekday. She's now very excited to try it!

My forehead looks a little strange today where the dermatologist zapped me, but I have bangs, so for the most part, I don't look too much stranger than normal. My leg no longer burns and the place where they did the biopsy isn't bothering me either. :yay:

I better get moving. The boys are out again today, and they are home alone for a couple of hours while I grab more stuff from work to work on at home.

Take care everyone!

I am glad your dermatologist torture went well and that the areas aren't too bad this morning. Have a great day!!

You know, if I could have dealt with Steve in Canada the entire time things would have been fine. Or even dealing solely with their website would have been OK! It is easy to navigate and has all the information I need. But requiring me to interact with (in my own country with an American company) people who don't speak my language is totally asinine in my opinion.

I actually looked at them, Heidi! :thumbsup2 There are some not so wonderful reviews of some of them so I was hoping that maybe one of you had eaten one before. Omaha Steaks has one too but I have not ever had one from there. Lots of other things from there are good too.

I haven't liked any of the none beef items I've ever eaten from Omaha Steaks.

Well I am off today to Abercrobie, Toys R Us, & Target for some Christmas shopping. We already have Wii Fit & several games for Wii so we have a good start. I did order my Christmas cards & have some of the done & addressed.

In my store we have the holiday music going, stockings, ornaments, tree toppers & wrapping paper out..just feels like I am not ready though!

Have a beautiful day everyone.:grouphug:

Very few of our stores do...which makes it really hard to get Disney ornaments when no ornaments are out at all!!:lmao:

OK, my computer has decided it is time to run the virus check that should have been run last night. I forgot that Thursday nights were check-up time in computer land here at the Havrilla household and shut my desktop down for a long winter's nap.

It is so slow now that I am getting cranky. I will get off here and do some other things and come back later. So long everyone. Have good mornings!

Good Morning All!!

It is snowing and sticking here so that means we have ice cream in our future!!

I am going to go in to work and tell my bulletin stuffers that I won't be here after Thanksgiving. They are the ones I worry about most...I am their champion...they were being run over (even under my mom) and I have slowly changed that...I am afraid it will go back immediately to that.

UGH! I lost Miles's spelling homework. He handed it to me last night, asked me to check it over, and then put it in his backpack. Usually, my mom didn't put my homework in my backpack is not an acceptable excuse, but since he actually gave it to me, and I said that I'd do it, lets him off the hook in my book. I wrote the teacher a note explaining that, and I'm still looking for it. What on earth could I have done with it?! I thought I put it in his backpack. Maybe I put it in Matthew's backpack, but I don't think so. I must have laid it down somewhere, but I have looked just about everywhere. Not quite everywhere, since it hasn't turned up, though.

It will be just the three of us for Thanksgiving this year. So I am not planning on doing a lot of cooking to make it work! I would love to order a fried turkey breast somewhere, or buy it already cooked and ready to reheat. I would then add my own sides and desserts. Does anyone know of an online place to get a good deep fried turkey breast? Or, Tammi - do you know of anywhere local that has them available?
No, I don't. But if I hear of anything I'll let you know.

I then went to the car and called back a job lead....more than 200 people had applied for this job and I have one of the few interview spots. :cool1: I told her that I just gave my resignation and that I needed to give my current employer the 40 hours a week for the next 2 weeks. She scheduled me in for a 5:30 interview.

That is promising news. I'm glad your day had a glimmer of hope

Good morning...

Theresa- Again, know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.'s and buckets of :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: for the interview.

Debbie- Enjoy your last day.

Elizabeth- I am sorry there are bullying issues. :wizard:

Tammi- Love the teacher's advice. The kids pics are great.

Beth- Loved your kids pics too. :goodvibes

For those I missed in my sleeplessness state, please forgive me.'s and :wizard:

I forgot about the sleepover :wizard: :wizard: You will certainly need pixie dust and I highly recommend jolt gum ;)

Mac I hope you found something about this! If you signed up(maybe you could already be a member :confused3 ) you could order a photo book for free(shipping was $6.99 for me). You had to start the book by last night.

I don't think you have to start it yet, you have to use the link and sign up by tonight and have it done by Sunday.

Our Grocery Store will prepare a meal for you. I'm not sure the cost off the top of my head, but it never seemed unreasonable in the past.

I've had the same issues with HP. The language barrier is unbelievable.

Good Luck finding it. I bet you did put it in the wrong backpack. I've caught myself doing that before.

Have you personally tasted it? There are lots of good companies that have them out there on the market, but not all of them are good. ;)

I had a boss who ordered her entire Thanksgiving from Neiman's one year but I can't remember if I tasted it. Her food storage habits scared me. She would leave turkey in the fridge for a week or more, then freeze it, then make soup out of it, leave the soup in the fridge for awhile, then freeze that, you get the picture. :scared: Anyway, it wasn't the deep fried one.

http://www.honeybakedforyou.com/menu/SGTurkey.aspx I'm a HoneyBaked Turkey girl myself. (Turkey, yes; ham, no.) But it's not deep fried though!
Have you thought of checking at maybe Sams Club or Costco? :confused3

The turkey breast from Honeybaked ham is AMAZING! :thumbsup2 Not deep fried, but really, really good. We have them for Christmas Eve sometimes.

Actually Bob and I don't pay full price for a membership...we split it with another couple. Myself and her husband are on a membership together (Sams allows a second person free on their basic membership) and we split the annual cost that way, and sometimes we all go in on a meat order together. So it's works for me!

I agree with the electronics. We also buy milk, ice cream, frozen veggies, bulk coffee, etc. from Sam's. That is also where we fill all of our prescriptions. Not everything is in obnoxious quantities, so it is worthwhile for us. I think we pay $40 per year for the membership. DH got all 4 tires on his car replaced there, and got a new battery for the car not too long ago.

I am glad your dermatologist torture went well and that the areas aren't too bad this morning. Have a great day!!

Ditto, Marci!

I hope it turns up somewhere! :wizard:

Anne Marie - You make a fried turkey in a huge vat of hot oil. You are supposed to do it outside. There are all sorts of injuries from people doing it wrong every year.

So I think I have Bob convinced for vacations for next year. We are still debating on going to Arizona for Spring Training in March...but we are definately planning on the Norfolk area in October. I'm looking at a house rental and I'll see if my cousin and her husband want to go with us. We can hit Virginia Beach, Busch Gardens and Williamsburg. Things seem to slow down in October and we really want to do Busch Gardens. I'm hoping that the weather will still be good enough for kayaking too...
