DDA Chapter 14

I made an appointment for DS to go to the Dr. this afternoon. He has this horrible cough that is just not getting better. He has had it for at least 3 weeks. I bought some Mucinex and he said it doesn't help. Hopefully it isn't pneumonia. I just want the Dr. to take a look at him.

I called the school and talked with an administrator about the bullying. He said they are aware of the problem and if there are any additional instances of bullying the student will be removed from the campus. He said the coach is supposed to be supervising the boys when they are in the locker room, and if I hear from DS that the coach isn't there that I should call back and let him know. Fair enough.

Our Grocery Store will prepare a meal for you. I'm not sure the cost off the top of my head, but it never seemed unreasonable in the past.

Our local groceries do that too, and we have bought the meals before. We just don't need all that food this year. Even the leftovers would go to waste. :( Off to check one other possibility locally.

So I think I have Bob convinced for vacations for next year. We are still debating on going to Arizona for Spring Training in March...but we are definately planning on the Norfolk area in October. I'm looking at a house rental and I'll see if my cousin and her husband want to go with us. We can hit Virginia Beach, Busch Gardens and Williamsburg. Things seem to slow down in October and we really want to do Busch Gardens. I'm hoping that the weather will still be good enough for kayaking too...
I believe that BG has Halloween events in October.

I had to quote at least one thing.

Terry I remember you posting that you and Stephanie will probably be at Mouse Fest next year too. Are the dates the same as this year? If you both will be at WDW next December when I go (13-18) I would love to meet, even if its just a hello in passing.

The Mouse Fest Cruise is December 6-10, 2009 and the land portion is December 10-14, 2009. We would plan to arrive at least one day before the cruise and maybe stay one day after the land portion again. While we are there this year, we will be better able to judge the time frame better. We would love to be able to meet longer than a passing :goodvibes

Actually Bob and I don't pay full price for a membership...we split it with another couple. Myself and her husband are on a membership together (Sams allows a second person free on their basic membership) and we split the annual cost that way, and sometimes we all go in on a meat order together. I don't really go for bulk shopping per say...maybe for pantry stuff, like cereals, coffee, popcorn...they also sell electronics, toys, Christmas supplies at the holidays and the prices are great on those.
So it's works for me!

In our area, Sams Club is running a special where you can pay $10 for a membership that is good till the end of December of this year.

Good Luck finding it. I bet you did put it in the wrong backpack. I've caught myself doing that before.

I found the homework! I must have put it down when I went in to help Laura with her homework. Because it was on the top of a pile of her papers, I didn't notice it the first time I looked in her room.

I managed to get our photobook done this morning. Ours was $7.49 for shipping and tax. My mom wants one too, so now I'm working on a different one for her, with more photos geared toward her.

I'm still working on uploading photos. This is almost overwhelming...I should have done something smaller. I wonder how much extra pages are, because I'm not going to be able to fit this into 20 pages.

Just remember that Busch Gardens is only open on the weekends in October. And it can be VERY nice in that area in October. And water can still be warm. And sometimes it is cold and sometimes hot! So... when are you coming???

My parents did a trip that included Pike's Peak, Yellowstone, and Mount Rushmore about a year before we took ours. Do you think they'd like a photobook with my pictures or is that too much like giving them a book of our vacation?

did they take their own pictures?

Eureka! I knew that they might have what I was looking for!

Sounds great! I don't have to cook this Thanksgiving. :dance3: Well, I have to bring rolls and cranberry relish...

And that's part of the way that I was able to get Bob to go - because of BG's Halloweekends. Last time I was there it was the second week in October and we couldn't swim - it was jeans/sweater weather. And it was perfect!
We are looking at October 2/3-10/11. Possibly leaving Friday after work and driving partway so we can do BG on Saturday night.

So I told my bulletin stuffers...they didn't think I've given enough notice...how is SPRC supposed to find somebody?:rotfl2:

I then had to tell them how I've come in second on a couple of jobs because there are people who can start immediately. Then they were telling me how I needed to tell my successor this and that...mainly that they needed to be treated with kid gloves because I've spoiled them:goodvibes

I just got interrupted in my post because the head of SPRC came in and said that they accept my resignation:cool1: and appreciate the work I've done ( ). I told him what Richard had said about not accepting it until Monday and that he thought it had to do with our conversation on Wednesday. Hank remembered me saying it way back in January, so that's a good thing. I told him I wanted SPRC to know that it didn't have anything to do with Wednesday and it didn't matter that Richard wasn't "accepting" it until Monday, my last day will be my last day.

Of course you are. We are at WDW then.

Some but not nearly as many as I did. Maybe I'll give them a certificate that I'll use their photos (and some of mine) to make a photobook of their vacation.

That would be the perfect way to do it, Beth! :thumbsup2

That sounds a little better. Theresa.
