Morning everyone-
Its 7 here, but 9 at home so im wide awake. I cant believe I forgot to tell you this yesterday, but i was drained---my family, yet again, needs some prayers.

My mom was supposed to pick me up after work to take me to the airport and instead my uncle was there. My mom got a call that grandma was being taken to the hospital. (this is my grandma that was married to my grandpa that died last november). They think she may be having heart failure or soemthing so they wanted to do tests.

I asked if i should stay home and they said no so i came here...they are still running tests and she stayed at the hospital over night. Im just really scared being so far away. I know this is a rough month for her because this time last year, grandpa was still alive, but getting worse. Plus, she is at the same hospital grandpa was. So please keep grandma in your prayers

Has anyone tried the buffet for dinner at Tusker House? Would this be an option for the August DDA meet? How about a late breakfast there, I know that is really good!

Bob and I are trying it next month, if you all want to wait to hear what we think. But I believe others on here have already done it!

I figured there were people out there who would do this for others. This is usually such a nice place to be. I figured I would just try to enable you, Tom! With one of these machines and your talents you could go into business... we keep telling you that.

I know what we really need to do:

We will all move into that Big DDA House in Orlando and Tom starts a design business, Robyn and Amy start a cake decorating business, I start a wine shop, everyone works for WDW full or part-time and we all live happily ever after! :thumbsup2

I'd be happy with just the last part, thank you.

I hear what you are saying.....and I feel the same way. But I swear it has really helped. Put on your happy face and give it a whirl.....Bill has informed me that all the estrogen pumping through the house is going to kill him!!!!:laughing:

Poor man. Bob feels the same way... even our dog is female!

I think your advice for commiserating with the Offended One is a good, Kristine. I find myself doing that with Kathrin these days. She usually can read me better and normally tells me to quit placating her, but this seems to be a good way to handle all her ups and downs right now. I don't think your teenage girls would figure out your strategy quite yet! :thumbsup2

Thanks,
I am hoping when she sees her new room & her own closet that will help...she is a complete fashionista so these things are big to her.

When a child gets older and has to move, it is really hard. She probably was getting settled with her friends and the thought of moving and having to start all over is kinda scary. I hated moving during those years. I always felt like the fifth wheel. When our family moved to San Diego and I started high school, I finally felt good. Then when the threat of having to move right before my senior year came up, I was thinking of running away I was so upset. We ended up staying for that last year, but I can so relate to her feelings.

This sounds like a great plan!

I LOVE THIS IDEA!!!! If only it could really happen.

I know! We had started looking into mansions and then someone (I think it was Deb) found an entire row of townhouses on the market.

The only problem with the townhouses is that we would all still need to maintain our own homes. I am looking for one of you to cook and clean while I am selling wine.....

:rotfl2:

Theresa-I sometimes hate these quick trisp to Colorado..I MAY be coming out for a long (2 week :)) visit this summer..if i do that, we HAVE to get together--its been too long!

I haven't been but read a few reviews saying it was good. Do you know when they serve dinner til?

I am not really sure, but I seem to remember people saying they were getting ADR's up till 8pm on some nights in the summer. I guess it depends on how late they are open.

I'm excited to see the big deal too. I'm even tempted to book something though we'll have to see what the dates are. I'd love to meet up with you guys in Aug, but the promo probably won't go out that far. Is anyone up for a possible earlier meet depending on the dates? Our kids have off April 17 - 26 otherwise we couldn't get away until June 18th.

I wish I could, but if I go in May there is no way I could make it :guilty:

I am trying to think of a way For Gary & I to sneak away maybe in Feb, if it is a really good deal :rotfl: Airfare does not look good for Feb. at the moment though, so who knows. It is fun to think about anyway!

I think I need to work a couple more jobs myself lol

I just looked at the school lunch menu for today. They are serving Catfish Strips. I wonder if my kids will try them. I bet Nicholas will, as he loves catfish.

So after discussing & discussing the move with the kids since mid summer, Katie is starting to give me grief about it. I think thats because she has gotten settled into her middle school. She has been (as Kristine likes to say) a real pill.:headache:

I think you've gotten fabulous advice from everyone here, but I expect no less. :wizard:

When's Moving Day?!?!

Oh and Elin, I have to tell you that I brought that Menage a Trois red wine to our Girl Scout pow wow, and everyone that tried it loved it!!

I had originally booked Hampton Inns for our drive to and from WDW next month. I noticed that if I book through MyPoints I can get points for booking Holiday Inn Express properties. We have never stayed at a Holiday Inn Express. Does anyone have any comparisons between them and Hampton Inns or Courtyard Inns?

We stayed in one on our way home from WDW in January. Somewhere in NC and it was extremely nice. It was currently being remodeled and we had a new room that was great.

Poor man. Bob feels the same way... even our dog is female!

Eric says he's moving out in the next few years.:rotfl: The teen years are going to push him over the edge.

For the day we're dining in March, 4:30 was the latest they offered. (Park closes at 5)

I have not stayed at the other hotels, but I have always been pleased with the Holiday Inn Express. Their hot breakfast is pretty good too :thumbsup2
