So after discussing & discussing the move with the kids since mid summer, Katie is starting to give me grief about it. I think thats because she has gotten settled into her middle school. She has been (as Kristine likes to say) a real pill.

But then maybe they are just going to announce about the free day for your birthday.

They've already announced the free birthday deal, so this has to be something new. Mousesavers says the announcement will come at 5PM.

So after discussing & discussing the move with the kids since mid summer, Katie is starting to give me grief about it. I think thats because she has gotten settled into her middle school. She has been (as Kristine likes to say) a real pill.

I hope the transition goes smoothly for her When we moved(it was only once & I was going into 6th grade, thank goodness), my worry was making new friends & fitting in. I was very shy, but it all worked out & I made lot's of new friends with memories that will be with me forever

Hmm. I guess I should take a calendar to work. Just in case. The thing is, a deal like B4G3 is only beneficial to people who can actually go for a week. The only week we could do that would be Spring Break, and airfare would kick our butts. Besides, I don't think any deals will include Spring Break dates.

Or if you don't already have APs. Myself, Bob and Bethany already have APs, but my kids' expire mid-Dec.

I'll be calling at 5pm for my May trip for sure. Still don't know what to do for January. I might try Beach Club for January???? Or maybe I should do Pop with AP for January? If I do both trips with this deal I'd have to buy tickets for both trips-I could always hang onto the extra ticket-Joe & Lizzy need them anyways and I'll need to upgrade AP in May. I'm leaning toward AKL in May with Joe-I could add you to our room if you don't mind buying a ticket. I'll let you know tonight what I get.

Morning everyone-
Its 7 here, but 9 at home so im wide awake. I cant believe I forgot to tell you this yesterday, but i was drained---my family, yet again, needs some prayers.

My mom was supposed to pick me up after work to take me to the airport and instead my uncle was there. My mom got a call that grandma was being taken to the hospital. (this is my grandma that was married to my grandpa that died last november). They think she may be having heart failure or soemthing so they wanted to do tests.

I asked if i should stay home and they said no so i came here...they are still running tests and she stayed at the hospital over night. Im just really scared being so far away. I know this is a rough month for her because this time last year, grandpa was still alive, but getting worse. Plus, she is at the same hospital grandpa was. So please keep grandma in your prayers

I'm sorry, Anne Marie. It is going to definately be hard, for all of them. The grief will probably get worse, plus the reality is starting to set in, as the time gets closer. Hopefully the move will prove to be the best for all of you and that the transition goes smoothly!

Jen - Good thoughts for your grandma!

I have no energy, and I am gaining weight despite not eating anything. I think I need to start taking speed.

DH went to the Dr. yesterday. I was under the impression they were going to try to wean him off of his meds, but they just switched him to a different one. And they tried to charge him $65 for the office visit. If the contracted fee for an office visit is really $325 (which would make our 20% co-pay $65) then I am going to go become a gastroenterologist. He told them they need to run it through the insurance and send us a bill! I can add it to my collection. I have a bill from him for $131 already, and I got a lab bill for $50 yesterday. Since Dadboss is out of town I don't know if I will get paid tomorrow or not, so I am not in a rush to send out a bunch of payments.

Has anyone tried the buffet for dinner at Tusker House? Would this be an option for the August DDA meet? How about a late breakfast there, I know that is really good!

It's a tough age...

my best advice is to acknowledge her....no matter what crazy, whiny, or even legitimate thing she says....if you say, "I can understand how/why you feel that way" followed up by a closing statement, it works wonders. I think this age feels we don't hear or understand them.

That is very true...I will try that tonight & see how she responds...tough one for me as I am not a "talk about your feelings" kinda gal. I was brought up to "just get on with it" so I will do my best. Thanks Kristine!

I saw this t-shirt on another board and thought I really wish I had one of those embroidery sewing machines! The appliqué is downloaded to the machine and it will place it onto your fabric. The person who made this also had downloaded the Disney font to her machine.

She posted a link to the company where she gets her appliqués and fonts... there are a ton of Mickey ones! Hey, Tom!! I'm just sayin' ...

I think Paula has one of those machines.

I'm relieved to see that I'm not the only one lacking motivation. That doesn't fix the problem, but at least I'm in good company

I'm excited to see the big deal too. I'm even tempted to book something though we'll have to see what the dates are. I'd love to meet up with you guys in Aug, but the promo probably won't go out that far. Is anyone up for a possible earlier meet depending on the dates? Our kids have off April 17 - 26 otherwise we couldn't get away until June 18th.
