Why does it always happen that when Janet and I are on vacation in Disney that someone happens to have a baby that we then have to buy Disney stuff for? It's gonna be fun shopping for baby boy things this year!

Tammi - Bob and I haven't done any shopping either. Though we did buy our Christmas present for each other yesterday - Guitar Hero. I found it at Sams for $109 for the game and two guitars. He want's the drums now. Go figure.

Sorry! I guess I just wanted you guys to have some fun shopping time!

I'M TIRED OF HEARING ABOUT ALL OF YOU PEOPLE WHO ARE DONE WITH YOUR CHRISTMAS SHOPPING! I've bought 3 things! STOP RUBBING IT IN!

I have only bought three things too! But that is almost all I need to get.

I am hoping that my director doesn't spout anything about the election or that I can keep my mouth shut if she does. Her stupidity is not going to be cured by my mouth.

LOVE that! I had a class of adults this morning that were decidedly unhappy with the results of yesterday's election. I let them grumble and groan and I played devil's advocate occasionally to try to lighten the mood, but some of their beliefs overall just stunned me.

It has been a bit of a slow day around the thread.
I was going to type up DS's research plan (no, I really was!) but I discovered i don't know how to start a document on Dadboss' computer! I was actually going to go home to do it, but it's a good thing I didn't because the housekeeper showed up out of the blue! The neighbor came by on Monday and said the housekeeper had some teeth pulled and wasn't feeling well. (The housekeeper works for her, too, and she is fluent in Spanish.) She said the housekeeper wouldn't be here this week, that it would be next week. She has an every other week Wednesday job and she was supposed to be there this week. Not sure how she ended up HERE, and nobody knew she was coming! So I guess tomorrow night will be research plan night whether I like it or not.

DH has his follow up with the gastroenterologist today, then I am going to meet DH & DS for dinner. I have Princess until about 9 PM, so I think we will go to Luby's. Kids eat free on Wednesday! (Or they used to.)

Deb - I need to go to Sam's, but I am not sure I want to go there in the dark. It might have to wait until tomorrow! I know we do this every year, but this year it seems to be PITCH dark earlier than in years past.

Grrrrrrr. I'm so angry! I agreed to babysit my SIL's 3 youngest kids tonight so she and her husband could go to a choir concert of 2 of their other kids. She just called and told me that her youngest daughter has been running a temperature all day, and is complaining of stomach trouble. She just wanted me to be aware before she drops her off here in an hour! She knows that I'm not supposed to be around sick kids at this point in the pregnancy, but she just doesn't care!

So, I get to quarantine a 5 year old and try to keep her away from my kids from 4:00 until 10:30. Grrrrrrr!

Hopefully, Alan comes home early tonight and helps out. I'm going to need it!

I am taking suggestions. It looks like one day between the 10th & the 14th would cover all of us so far.

I'm not sure if we'll be able to work it out as we're going to Disney the end of May, but if you make any reservations add 2 more just in case please.

I'm with you Tammi, I've managed to pick up a couple of things for Brandon, and we're buying new nursery furniture for DD and DSIL, other that that I don't even know what to buy.

Glynis, I would be FURIOUS. I know you already made a commitment, but that is a valid reason to cancel. Your SIL can stay HOME with her sick kid and her DH can go to the choir concert!

I have a few things purchased, but hadn't done very much. Then on Monday I got Uncle Sam checks in the mail that I figured wouldn't come for another month or two. So...now I'm dying to get shopping! Woohoo! My favorite part of the year and the only time I enjoy shopping.
