DDA Chapter 14

Well, we had a wonderfully beautiful day at the zoo! We only saw the insect house about about 10 other animals, but we met up with 3 other homeschool families and the kids were having a great time. The hippos were incredibly active and so fun to watch that they spent about 30 minutes there alone. A quick trip to Ted Drewes, picked up Phil and now we're babysitting and doing laundry (ours this time) at Kristi's house. Tomorrow...temps start dropping and clouds start forming. Fall may be here to stay this time.

So much to do, so little time, I figure I'll just have to give up sleeping from now until we leave.

I called OKW and requested to be on an upper floor, so that we would have a balcony instead of a patio, I also asked about the beds, and was told that they have egg crates available is the beds are too hard, so I can cross that one off the shopping list.

I have freshly painted toes, (like I'll be wearing open toed shoes ), a new hair cut, (that I can't make look like she did), and I had a date with Miss Clairol last night.

I've got to get off of here and make some more progress,

PS - I had my first visit with my new doctor yesterday, it went well but of course she wants more tests run.

She also changed my diabetes medication from Glucotrol to Metformin, she thinks it will be better because I've had a few instances where my sugar level dropped significantly. Hopefully I will be able to stop all diabetes medicine soon.

So who is speculating about the huge news Disney is supposed to announce tomorrow. I might have to try to sweet talk my DH into a trip for my birthday next year if the Package deals are any good.

Grrrrrrr. I'm so angry! I agreed to babysit my SIL's 3 youngest kids tonight so she and her husband could go to a choir concert of 2 of their other kids. She just called and told me that her youngest daughter has been running a temperature all day, and is complaining of stomach trouble. She just wanted me to be aware before she drops her off here in an hour! She knows that I'm not supposed to be around sick kids at this point in the pregnancy, but she just doesn't care!

So, I get to quarantine a 5 year old and try to keep her away from my kids from 4:00 until 10:30. Grrrrrrr!

Hopefully, Alan comes home early tonight and helps out. I'm going to need it!

Glynis,,,,,,if she KNOWS you are not supposed to be around sick kids, she should stay home herself and deal with the sick kid. I realize you promised, but your health comes first. I would be furious that she is trying to do this to you.

Glynis, I would be FURIOUS. I know you already made a commitment, but that is a valid reason to cancel. Your SIL can stay HOME with her sick kid and her DH can go to the choir concert!

Debbie - I would love to see you and Richie again! Of course we will reserve 2 spots for you at dinner!

I am furious! However, I've got her quarantined, and her big sister is in charge of her. Alan is angry, as well, and is calling her husband (Alan's brother) to let him know how upset we are about this.

I would have told her to stay home with her own kid or take the kid with her. That is too much to expect.
