I've been on orientaltrading all morning trying to figure out what to get for Colby's Thankgiving Celebration at school and also for Christmas project kits. I hate making decisions these day :confused3 I'm off to pick up Colby. I think I'll run a few idea by the teacher.

We are going to do one of the tied pillows from there for grandparents.

I'M TIRED OF HEARING ABOUT ALL OF YOU PEOPLE WHO ARE DONE WITH YOUR CHRISTMAS SHOPPING! I've bought 3 things! STOP RUBBING IT IN!

:teeth:

Does it make you feel better to know that I have bought absolutely nothing? How about that I don't even have any ideas for a huge majority of my list?

I hope that I can be good for something today! :rotfl:

Well, I was going to go out this morning and tackle the rest of Christmas shopping, but it's snowing like crazy, and Alan has forbidden me to leave the house! So, I guess I'll let my fingers do the shopping and do some online stuff. I can order some books for my nephew from Amazon, and there's a stocking holder for Jacob on ebay that I want. Guess that will have to satisfy me today. I could wrap Jacob's birthday presents, too. Hmmm. I'll have to think about that!

If I get a burst of energy, I'll also throw together some cookie dough to have on hand throughout the holiday season.

Thank heaven most of the Christmas shopping is done!

that must be the storm that is making it so dang cold here. I would actually love some snow as it just doesn't seem like November with the 70+ degree weather we had over the weekend.

Look at that counter! 5 weeks and one day! :yay:

Keep it out West then, please! I'm quite happy with my 50's in November here.

I have only bought 1 thing so far for Christmas....so don't feel bad Tammi

so the cat is snoring:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: It sounds like she has asthma too.

Sorry, Tammi! I just don't have as much time as I usually do. With the baby due on the 4th of December, I won't be able to leave the house much after that. If I leave the shopping for Alan to do, the kids would end up with whatever is left at Walmart on the evening of the 24th. Much better for me to do it now! I actually should have started much earlier, but oh well!

Believe me, I'll be scrambling to get Christmas cards done, as Alan wants to send out birth announcements at the same time! Hopefully, we'll get it all done!

You can have it! I hate snow!!!! Actually, I love to look at snow, but not drive in it. I just have too much to do to be housebound!

And it's actually one week less than that! We moved my c-section from the 11th to the 4th of December! yikes:scared1: That makes it even closer. No wonder I feel like a house!!!!

Yes! Thank you! :rotfl2:

I know what you are going through, Glynis. Nicholas's birth was scheduled for December 2nd. I was on December 1st, at 8 PM, finishing up my shopping so I wouldn't have to worry about it later, or trust someone else with it!

Why oh why did I visit the Community Board today. I'm just frustrating myself and wasting my time.

I need to head out to another waste of time now...the monthy staff meeting at preschool. Last month it took me longer to drive there than the meeting itself lasted.

I am hoping that my director doesn't spout anything about the election or that I can keep my mouth shut if she does. Her stupidity is not going to be cured by my mouth. :rotfl:

Why does it always happen that when Janet and I are on vacation in Disney that someone happens to have a baby that we then have to buy Disney stuff for? :teeth: It's gonna be fun shopping for baby boy things this year!

Tammi - Bob and I haven't done any shopping either. Though we did buy our Christmas present for each other yesterday - Guitar Hero. I found it at Sams for $109 for the game and two guitars. He want's the drums now. Go figure.

I am right there with you Tammi. Hardly anything bought. A lot of talking of what to get, but no shopping yet. I just cannot get in the mood yet.

Me too :sad2:

Wow, He'll be here before you know it :goodvibes

Colby was due in early December so I had all the shopping done and presents wrapped way ahead of time. Of course he came 3 1/2 weeks early, but I was glad that I didn't have to stress over shopping.

Well except for Santa gift's for the girl's I am done with them. Now Jeff I have no idea. I am done with my brother, nephew and dad. No clue for my Mom and FIL.

I'm wrapping more today, too! I started the other day, but only got about 10 presents wrapped.

Stay safe and warm.... and don't pass the snow this way! :scared1:

:teeth:

Sorry :) Seriously though, at least you don't have to hear your own family call you a nut! ;)

Does it make you feel better to know that I have bought absolutely nothing? How about that I don't even have any ideas for a huge majority of my list?

I hope that I can be good for something today! :rotfl:

I have not started shopping. I only know what I am getting for Princess. No ideas for DH. I want to get a DVD camcorder for DS but I don't know what kind or what features or any of that. I don't even like Christmas anymore, so I am kind of dreading the whole thing.

TX is always going to be a Republican state, but I will say the gap was narrower yesterday than it has been in past elections. And in Dallas county the Democrats won all 8 seats they were running for. The 9th one was a Republican running against a Libertarian.

It also looks like we will be building a new county hospital. I voted for it, but I had mixed feelings. None of the surrounding counties have a county hospital so they send all of their indigent patients to us. Um, not fair! Those counties don't pay anything to the hospital so their residents should NOT get to go there for free! On the flip side, that hospital has the best trauma unit. In the event someone in my family sustains a gunshot wound (which is pretty likely in this town) I want a top-notch trauma center to be available. A guy recently died in the waiting room. He had been sitting there for NINETEEN hours complaining of stomach pain, and they didn't think he needed to be seen that quickly. :sad2: But the issue isn't that they need a new hospital, the issue is that all of the uninsured people need to stop using the ER as their sole source of medical care. It's an EMERGENCY room, people. They need a facility to divert all of the non-emergency cases to - like a "Doc in the box" for all the ear infections and sore throats and other piddly crap. That's what I think, anyway. :rolleyes1

DS took his math project this morning - it is due today. He said a girl is his class used paper from one of those gigantic rolls like you use to paper bulletin boards with, and her project is like 6 ft. across. :scared1: Excuse me? That is NOT what the directions said to do! I hope she gets a good grade, but I also hope that DS isn't penalized for following the directions! He completed the project EXACTLY as it was written out.

I need to start typing up the "research plan" but I REALLY don't want to. Maybe I will just watch some news or something. :rolleyes1
