DDA Chapter 14

I was just giving you a hard time!! I knew it wasn't directed at me.

:rotfl: I had forgotten about Molly's new haircut and was wondering why you asked Elizabeth if you were an awful mother. :rotfl: I guess you can add me to the awful mother list, too. :rotfl:

Elizabeth, I can't stand mothers like that. Fortunately, I haven't had to interact with one for a long time. A couple of my mothers this year have other annoying traits, though. Well, there is one boy who I suspect gets an awful lot of tv time by himself when he's not at preschool, and I mean A LOT. We have relatively lax tv/computer time rules here, so I am not judging. This one boy just seems to be content to just sit. He wants to be entertained, but he doesn't want to be a participant.

My ExBoss was friends with another mom whose child would CONSTANTLY say "I'm BORED!" :headache: There is no reason why a 6 year old should even know that phrase. I didn't like that child anyway, but it annoyed me to no end that he expected me to provide entertainment for him like some sort of court jester.

Princess likes to have the TV on, but she doesn't watch it. She looks at books, draws, plays with Play Doh, arranges her toys on the couch, sings, dances, asks for a snack, but if I change the channel she is on me like white on rice telling me to put it back on "her show". :rotfl: Silly girl.

She REALLY needs to wake up. DS is waiting for his shirt! :scared:

Just stay here, Tia. No need to go back over there!

Only reason to go over there is if you want to see some past pictures (posted previously) or some new recipes. The rest of it was just chatter to get us out of Chapter 13 quickly.

Theresa, how could a parent not care about their child? :sad1:

About a year ago I heard the term "tipping point" and had it explained to me.

I truly believe there are tipping points in all aspects of our lives. I had my tipping point at work back in February when I KNEW I couldn't keep working here and it gave me the kick in the pants to REALLY look for another job. While that job hasn't shown up yet, I have faith.

Unless something miraculous happens in my marriage it had it's tipping point yesterday. While I am legally still married (and probably will be until I can fund a divorce), I just can't even look at Jim. As I told him it was the small piece of the puzzle still missing and he put it there to finish it. It was not the tipping point I was hoping, praying for but it happened just the same.

Oh Theresa, I'm so sorry to hear about that!!! :grouphug:  pixiedust:

OMG I misspelled it!!!! I went back and changed it!!!!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

it is called the CRAB TRAP

I figured that was what happened when I saw Elin's post. Too funny. I had to go back and check because I thought it was right when I read it. I saw you had edited it. :lmao:

Theresa, I am so sorry you had to go thru this. I know we all will be here for you. You and only you will know the next move.

I was gonna gripe about Hal and his quirks but, I think I will just say that we are here for you.

go ahead and gripe....normal is good.

Deb, I'm not sure that I ever said, "WELCOME BACK!!!" It sounds like you had a great extra vacation! I can't wait to see the pictures. I think I probably would have waited for the restaurant, but there would have been a mutiny, and the rest of my family would have been at McDonald's.

We were prepared to wait an hour, by the time we had invested an hour we hated to leave and start a wait somewhere else. :confused3 Had I known from the start that it would be 2 hours we would have walked away.

Theresa - more :hug:s your way. Like everyone else, I can't believe that Jim didn't think it was important to take Abi her lunch. That is unreal. Good luck with whatever you decide to do. Maybe if he heard from his daughter how it made her feel having her dad decide that lunch wasn't important for her, he would wise up. Just a thought.

We got one pumpkin completely carved tonight, one cleaned and the design etched on it and one hasn't been touched. Tomorrow hopefully we will get them finished. I'm going to try my hand at Debbie's Mickey head.

We went to see MIL. She is pretty upset, but was holding it together overall. She is supposed to get together with his mother and son tomorrow afternoon to discuss the funeral arrangements and division of property. They need to get the house emptied ASAP. Still no word on actual COD. They are doing an autopsie. She feels bad that she wasn't there for him at the end. I really think that it was good she left on Saturday as she had already adjusted a bit to the separation.

I'll start my trip report since I've already covered several hours of the first day at T-Rex.

We got up at 3 AM and were out the door to the airport at 4. We got to the airport, parked and through security just in time to board the plan :cool1: Our flight was uneventful and we arrived in Tampa on time at 11:30 AM. I went and got the rental car while the family got the luggage. Our reservation was through National so I had to catch a shuttle. I didn't think I was gone long, but the family disagrees :rotfl: Anyhoo, I was able to get an 8 passenger Toyota Sienna on the Emerald Aisle. We had plenty of room. It was a good day so far. We decided to drive a while then stop for lunch. Remember the kids still thought we were driving all the way to Vero Beach. As we started seeing signs for WDW we asked the kids if they would like to grab lunch at DD. They were excited. I pulled into OKW and they were totally confused. It took a while for it to sink in that we were staying there that night. Check in went very well and we were able to get building 16 which was very close to everything. I also made sure that Hunter's birthday was noted on the ressie as we hoped he would get a birthday call from a character. Our room was not ready so we went to grab some lunch by the pool. We had brought our refillable mugs so we filled those and had some fast food. I called after we were done and was told that our villa was ready. We grabbed the car and went to the villa. Turns out that mousekeeping was still working on the room. We ended up sitting on the deck and taking in the warm weather and nice view of the golf course. She was done in around 30 minutes.
