Choke, choke. $350 annual fee? :scared1: I would have to read the fine print very carefully before I would consider that. Did it mention APR?
All it said about APR was 'low competitive interest'. Which doesn't matter to me because I don't carry a balance. Yes, the $350 sounds bad at first, but the way it was written was that after you pay your 350 annual fee, you get 300 pts, which translates to $300 when you cash them in. So really the fee is only $50, which washes when you get 4% per $100, per month, when you buy groceries, gas, utilities, etc. on the card. So if I go to the store and spend $100, I get 4 points, which eventually equals $4. I easily rack up 20 pts. per month so for me this would be a great deal. Especially if they throw in the buy one airline ticket get a second free.

I am sorry Katie is having such a no-good, grumpy, not particularly happy week. I agree it might be time for some mom & daughter bonding time.

This talk of Christmas lists made me giggle this morning as Abi told me hers last night: a book light and a book she can't remember the name of. That's it. I will get her a hoodie that's all her own and I just ordered a $25 Borders GC for her using mypoints and of course the things she's asked for.

Cassidy has asked for a laptop (:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: ) I told her to ask Ama and Aunt Kristi/Uncle Chris to go in on one for her. (Uncle Chris has fun rebuilding computers). Other than that she hasn't asked for anything.

I won a bid on this http://www.propertyroom.com/itemdetails.aspx?l=6095461 for myself ($18 total) for Christmas.

I ordered what I needed to from Oriental Trading yesterday for the grandparent gifts so I am done!!  oh crud....I just remembered I haven't done any shopping for the exchanges:eek: :rotfl:

Did you guys see that Walmart is having a pre Black Friday sale. It starts at 8 AM this Saturday (tomorrow). The ad is on there website. I'm considering picking up the $298 notebook computer. Mine's been in the shop a few times lately and I'm not sure if it will last another year. Nick has been asking for one too  It is a really good price even if it is just a basic notebook.

I forgot to tell you all.... one bright spot last week was that I was accepted as a host to the Pre-Holiday House party...so I get to have a party next Saturday.:cool1: I am going to put up my little tree with an animal theme (thanks Elin!!:goodvibes ) and have a really, truly legitimate reason to start listening to Christmas music 24/7. I also get to bake goodies.

It sounds like an amazing party pack that is coming to me this week.

If I could spend that amount I would get it in a heartbeat but I don't have that much and I don't carry a credit card.

The airline ticket MIGHT be enough to bring me around, but it would depend. Is it good on any airline, and do you have to spend a minimum of $250 on the first ticket to get the free one? Of course now that airfare has gone up it is a pretty safe bet that the first ticket would be close to $300 for us. But yesterday airfare was $165, so you never know! "Free companion airfare" always seems to have some serious restrictions that make it impossible to use, but I would absolutely look at it!

How bizarre that they give you 300 points for the fee when the point accrual for purchases is one point per $100. So you are right - it would be like saving $300 for your WDW trip on a gift card and paying a $50 annual fee. Hmm.

I am not using my Chase card for purchases right now because I put DH's Dr. bill on one of those balance transfer checks for 0% interest and that needs to be paid off. I kept thinking we might start using the Chase card to pay our utilities and such instead of doing direct debit, but I just never started that.

Yay for a party! Can I come?

It didn't go into all that. It was just a survey......might you apply if we offered x, y and z.....type thing. It is definitely something I would consider.

I forgot to tell you all about a conversation that the kids and I had last night as we were drivng to football practice. My little man is getting quite knowledgable about government with all this election crap. :rotfl: As we passed a taxicab:

ALYSSA: Is that a taxi?
ME: Yes, that is a taxi.
NICHOLAS, in his I KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT voice: Our new President Obama wants to raise taxis.

This is when I almost ran off the road from laughing.

So after the week I had I decided to stop at the liquor store on the way home last night. I told the guy at the register it was a good thing it wasn't a habit as it's EXPENSIVE to drink:rotfl:

I then come in today and want another drink because I get to hear a whiny co-worker about the voting machines that we can't really do anything about.

I showed another co-worker the e-mail non response I got from SPRC and she said she would have quit on the spot and then offered to be a reference. :rotfl: This co-worker is/has been a great friend but is a grudge holding witch if she thinks you've wronged her...thankfully I've never done that. :rotfl2:

That's great. Post some pictures for us.

That needs to be submitted to Readers Digest Tammi! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Thanks for quoting me so many times that I see my grammatical mistake. I went back and changed run to ran. Sorry Amy!

That's very exciting, Theresa. And you are very welcome. :teeth:

I LOVE your kids! :goodvibes And this is why I love teaching children. As Art Linkletter said, "Kids say the darnedest things!"

I don't have tome to catch up before we head out, just wanted to
say

"See ya later"

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Plus they get to go in October. Something new and different!
Yep!!! We did go in October 2005 to the party & I always wanted to do it again with the kids. This year Katie felt like a dork (her words) trick or treating with Daniel & Sophie. I think it would be fun to go to the Halloween party next year instead of trick or treating.

I'm so sorry that she is going through all this. Middle school is a horrible time for girls, and moms. :grouphug:
::yes::

Jennifer - THANK YOU!!! The girls are getting so big and I'm still amazed that they were born early. I just don't see it anywhere in them.

:teeth: You're welcome! I agree... even if it was just a month early, we expected to see something. Instead, they're doing better than we ever would have even thought to hope for with growth, milestones, etc! :lovestruc
