I have some calls to make to the GS council. It's becoming a not so favorite activity of mine. :headache: No one there likes to return phone calls therefore making it impossible to get anything done.

I am sorry that no one has gotten back to you. Good luck!

Are you in Girl Scouts Central Maryland council?

Do you have an email address? Or do you know the specific person that covers your area? If so it appears that the email addresses are first initial of first name plus last name @ gscm.org So if my name was Tina Smith, my email address would be tsmith@gscm.org

Or if you do not have a specific name. Try this email address for membership. MembershipMail@gscm.org

Yeah, we signed up her, Kassie and Connor fora 5 week program. She's still hesitant about putting her face in the water, plus I learned at the very end that I think the idea of water in her ears holds her back too. We're going to get earplugs for her next time and she's practicing putting her face in the water in the bathtub. Hopefully she'll get more comfortable putting her face in and then we'll sign her up again in the spring sometime. With the pool in mom and dad's backyard we'd really like them to all learn the basics pretty soon.

Is she allowed to wear goggles, Tia? Kristin didn't learn to swim until she was almost 8 years old because she would not put her face in the water. My boss happens to be a Red Cross certified swimming instructor and taught swimming at our pool a number of years ago. She took one look at Kristin in the water and said, "Buy that kid some goggles and I will have her swimming within the week!" I did and she was!

So Emma's birthday party is this Friday. Her and I decided on the sleepover.
She decided on Tinker Bell for the theme. I found at AC Moore a pack of 8 pillowcases that the girls can color, that will be their favor. I found some green sparkly nail polish and Tinker Bell decals so we'll do their nails too. I also plan on making fairy cakes and then once every is in their pj's we'll watch the new movie.

Eric will be spending the night at his parents. And my mom and aunt have offered to keep Mo and Lucy for the night.

Sounds like fun & with a Tinker Bell theme too, I want to come!

Eric does not want to hang with the girls :confused3 :rotfl:

I was going to comment on how brave you are to have 5 girls plus Emma for a sleepover, but then I realized DS is having 5 friends in a hotel room with me. :scared:
Sounds like a lot of fun activities for the girls! :thumbsup2

Oh lucky you, not!

Fly-by picture post.... gotta feed girls and get to the grocery store :)

Yep, GSCM. It's not that I haven't talked to anyone. I have. But they tell you something, only half of what you need, then say someone else is doing that job now, she'll call you. I finally get ahold of the new girl and she says so and so from the Service unit will call you. So guess what? No phone call from that person. I want off the merry go round!

And I am the only parent who can call during the day. So it's up to me to get this nonsense figured out!!

Got a new ticker.

We debated between Jan. or Dec. 2009
Dec. won out as we would be able to stay POFQ, if we went in Jan. we would have to stay Pop and John was not happy about that. Also we love all the decorations and the Christmas party. But the biggest reason for Dec. is John is determined to stay Contemporary once, so we have longer to save for it.

We love POFQ in December!!

Hunter's appointment is over. He ended up coming home with me as his eyes were still very dialated and he couldn't read anyway. The doctor found a significant change in his eyes. Hopefully that explains the headaches. We are moving him back to yearly appointments instead of every 2 years in hopes of catching changes sooner. After the appointment we went and ordered a new pair of glasses. We also left one of his old pair that are still in great shape and we will have the lenses changed in those. The doctor said that his current glasses cannot even be used as a backup pair because of the significant changes. I really hope that once the new glasses arrive he will be headache free :wizard:

:wizard: that this takes care of the headaches!

Good evening,

Cute pics everyone, I read some but don't think I can sstay wake long enought to actually catch up.

I'm gonna try and update the TR, but my eyelids are getting heavy.

Hi from North Carolina!

Went house hunting this weekend. Also went to the school district admin building to get all the info on the schools & special programs for Daniel. I was very content with what they told us. We found a couple of homes that fit our bill. We took the kids to play mini golf this afternoon so they could have a break from being dragged from house to house & sitting in the car most of the day. We took Katie to the HS we are looking at for her & she was thrilled at the acting & dance classes that they offer. I think that made things feel better for her. She is sitting her writing little notes on the school in her notebook.

:flower3: to everyone!!!

Sounds like a very productive weekend, Anne Marie. I am so glad to hear that! :grouphug:

That sounds like a great plan :goodvibes
