Good, hectic...we have lots of people coming to see the house. It's hard to keep it spit-spot with 3 kids. I am also not this organized either so keeping the house completely neat is getting old.

AAGH! EW! Has anyone ever pulled the "lid" off a pumpkin you're getting ready to carve and found a nasty, totally mucky puddle of rotten pumpkin that smells, too literally, like poop?!

I just "opened" the 2nd of our 4 pumpkins and it is one of the grossest things I've ever seen or smelled, and I'm a nurse


Do you think the farm will take it back?! I hope so, it was like $10! Ick!

Last night Jackie and her friends went to a concert to see The Plain White T's....they wanted matching T-shirts for the concert so I quickly designed something for them...

Anyway...she came floating through the door last night, apparently all the band members signed their t-shirts!!

Now she wants to frame the darn thing

Oh how cool!

As horrible as this is to say (and I haven't said it out loud to him), I am very thankful that he still has his job. When we went through this back in 1990 he was one of the first ones to be cut. I do not want to go through that again. We are still recovering. I am not sure we could do it a second time.

On another not so good note... today is Kathrin's 30th birthday. Last night some friends took her out to dinner and coming out of the restaurant she slipped on the wet pavement and fell. She has a nasty shiner but more importantly she has a broken tooth. She called me in tears this morning. She asked what more could possibly go wrong in a week's time. I was afraid to discuss this with her at this point. Please send some good thoughts her way. I think she could really use them.

She actually broke down and cried at the dentist's office. It is not an easy fix, nor is it going to be inexpensive, I am afraid. The tooth now has a temporary crown on it. But it will require a root canal and a permanent crown. The teeth on either side of the broken one both have fractures in them that the endodontist needs to look at.

And when they pulled up Kathrin's insurance information, it shows that it was canceled the day after she was laid off. She will have to contact the HR department and find out what is going on as this is not what was promised. I am hoping that they are nicer people than I have given them credit for. It is worrying me quite a bit.

Hi, DDA! Sorry to be MIA. Work is busy, and we had 3 babies die this week on my shift. It was so sad. And both of John's grandmothers are in the hospital and not expected to live long. He just left this afternoon to go see them both. He took his suit with him just in case. The kids are very upset at the thought of losing all 3 of their great-grandmothers in a one month time frame. But they are very excited about Halloween next week. Rees is Sorcerer Mickey, Davis is Cody the Storm Trooper from the Clone Wars, and Brantley-Kate is a green and black witch.

I had a very weird thing happen tonight. After I got home from work, I finished up supper(I put chicken in the crock this morning)& then went in the living room & sat down on the couch next to Riley. All of a sudden the ceiling fans starts moving very slowly. It did a full circle before it stopped The switch for it is right behind me & it is off, please explain this to me

Riley witnessed this as well, so no I am not crazy lol

I have not heard bells being called a "keyboard". Keyboard, piano yes not bells. But none of our bands have bells either though.

Well, theband director called it a keyboard, and I thought he meant like a KEYBOARD. But then I was looking online at timpani mallets and metronomes and the music store calls the bells a keyboard. Weird. At any rate, DS does NOT know the audition material so he is not going to the audition on Monday.

Gross. That has never happened to me, but we don't carve many pumpkins.

DS brought home a paper about a math project now. He has to make a poster with words and pictures and all sorts of stuff. To read the project description it is VERY confusing. I guess we will have to go through the paper line by line this weekend and see if we can figure it out.

Tomorrow is "free dress" day. DS has just discovered that his jeans do not fit. Looks like I am headed to Macy's really fast!

It is approaching halloween. The happy haunts are materializing.
