DDA Chapter 13

I'm watching Grey's.

Kristine - Might as well make him the boxers because he won't have a reason to take them off anytime soon!

Last night DS dropped marinara on his shorts so DH washed them. Fine. Then DH dropped sauce on his own shirt, so he washed another load of laundry. He NEVER washes anything other than towels. Remember that for a minute.

Today DS got his PE uniform. An ADULT medium! It is HUGE. The shorts are so big DH can wear them. The coach said to wash them and they will shrink. Um, no, a 50/50 shirt will NOT shrink, and neither will nylon shorts. They will melt before they will shrink. But I washed them anyway.
I opened the dryer to put the NOT shrunken PE uniform in there and what did I find? One of my new Ralph Lauren shirts that CAN'T GO IN THE DRYER. :headache:  The ONE TIME DH washes a load of laundry he gets MY shirt and ruins it. :sad2:

DS's PE uniform is still gigantic. The coach gave him permission to keep wearing his own shorts. Apparently they didn't bother to order anything smaller than adult mediums, which is just stupid. DS probably can't even wear youth large shorts. The shorts he has been wearing for PE are children's 7/8! The shirt is halfway to his knees.

Chuck is not allowed to do my laundry or the girls. He has done dumb things like this in the past. He is brilliant at most things but for some reason laundry is beyond him. He'll do his own wash if needed and does the towels, blankets, sheets, etc. He helps out in everything else so him not "getting" laundry is forgivable. :lmao:

Playing Post Office again??? Sounds a little kinky to me! :rotfl2:

I was thinking the same thing! ;)

Me neither. I look worse in a hat than I do with bad hair!:scared:

Me, too. I burned my part in my hair this weekend because I wasn't wearing a hat. That felt pretty bad when she was washing the grey out of my hair... it really burned. The price we pay for less grey...

I need to ask prayers for our friend Dylan (I've posted pictures of him here...he's our long haired friend who is the same age as Abi)

Dylan broke his collar bone the same week that Abi broke her arm back in 1st grade. Well.....he broke it again this week only worse. He may need to have surgery to pin it and he has probably also seperated his shoulder in the accident. Dixie (his mom) is a paranoid parent...not helicopter just paranoid and is now more scared to send him to school. I love Dixie but I did have to tell her I know she is paranoid and I've known for a long time.
Prayers sent!

Welcome Home Chanon,

Your pictures are amazing, I wouldn't want to have the task of choosing which ones to keep.

They are terrific. You will be so glad you did this years later when you are looking at photos.

Nick's appointment went well. He has a couple of topical lotions to use. One for morning and one for evening. She also recommended the Neutrogena acne wash for daily cleansing morning and night. Hopefully it will work. He won't start the prescription meds until after vacation.

I got my hair trimmed and my brows waxed. I picke up the last minute stuff. Tomorrow is just at home stuff so hopefully everything will go well.

I need to take Jake to a derm. He's getting what looks like pimples and he's 9! I called his ped., but I can't match up the schedules because I was out of town, a neuro appt. for the boys tomorrow, and soccer on Monday, until Tuesday. Jake's derm from when he was much younger no longer does kids. I'm going to see his regular doc, then get a rec for a good pediatric derm.

I'm still over in Ft. Worth. Had another great dinner tonight (Ruth's Chris Steakhouse) and am about to read some more of my book.

Elizabeth -- will you send me your cell phone number again? That way if I'm running late on Saturday I can call to figure out where you guys are.

I should be able to check in, in the morning. Good night everyone! :goodvibes

I don't know if you all remember when Kathrin was interviewing for her job that she was "encouraged" to ask questions of the CEO and CFO of the company. One of the questions she posed was, "In a recession how can a diamond company continue to hire?" The response to that question was that generally their clientele is not affected by the small downturns in the economy. Well, this is no small downturn and their clientele (major bankers, wall street financiers, etct.) are not shopping for diamonds. Tiffany & Co. is hurting and so is the company Kathrin joined in March.

Today, along with some of the sales staff and one of the graphics designers they let her go. :sad1: She is taking it much better than I am, that is for sure.

I'm sorry Elin

the same thing happened to my sister....who actually left a job for all the promises of the new employer....

Elin, I am so sorry that happened.

thanks, you guys. Kristine... I hope your sister is successful in finding a new job soon.

She had been contacted by a headhunter last week and had not gotten back to him yet. Apparently she called him right away and he has two prospects for her to look at. She says she is fine and will be fine. I have to believe her, I guess.

  When one door closes another opens. Hopefully a huge door opens quickly.

Vicki is November 16
Colby is November 17
Chris is November 18 along with Mickey and Minnie

I know you can do it. I haven't tried a t-shirt dress yet.

Cool!! Maybe thinking of WDW in May will keep you warm.

Ummmm....wouldn't any salt savings be less than the extra emergency services used to respond to all the accidents?

That's nice!

I would probably get a sun burn with one.

Hope you have great weather!

I have a huge head too. I find baseball caps with velcro work best for me. I can't really wear the ones with a metal clasp.

:rotfl2:

I'm sure you'll have a blast!!!!

Hope Dylan heals quickly and his mom settles down.:wizard:

I LOVE your signature photos!!!

We also love the 8:00am breakfast at Crystal Palace. I actually enjoy any meal there but walking up an nearly empty Main St is magical-be sure to book it on an non EMH morning day.

I like Chef Mickey's better for breakast than dinner.

I like Tusker House breakfast. I like the food at Cape May breakfast but have some little issues with service the last 2 breakfast meals there. My DS said the dinner with DDA friends there last Aug was the best meal of his life.

My kids all love the Sci Fi Dinner at MGM.

I wanna go!!!!!! I need a vacation after this year's budget. I guess I'll have to wait until late January.

The poor thing. How scary the whole thing is. Imagine if she wasn't in an Escalade.:sad2:

:wizard: Good Luck!!!!! I've been in meetings all last week and this week. I had a meeting from 12-1:30 yesterday that really got out at 4pm. How am I supposed to get work done???? I have one last meeting tomorrow but have to implement all the budget changes now, print all new reports, AND do the 3rd Quarter forecast for the meeting Tuesday with the President. It is SOOOOOO rushed this year (the CFO took a few days off so we couldn't do meetings those days.:headache: ). Don't feel too bad....I didnt' take any vacation during the budget and I'll probably be in the office this weekend.

Now that would work for me!:thumbsup2
The best trime for me is after he last board meeting of the year when they pass my budget. The past few years when I'm there the first week of December is best. We're scheduled to be there Dec 6th through Dec 14th 2009...

I have a feeling between the economy and the work, that I'm only going to make one trip next year.:sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

what furtiousity!!!

Tonight was my night to work the 5A regionals.....what a hard night. I came home and had a coughing fit that had my family scared. (It was no picnic for me either)

I am trying to let my lungs calm down so I thought I'd catch up here:goodvibes

I am glad that you have found that Mousefest is a good time for you to go to WDW next year, Stephanie. The vacations we all take make the work that we have to do easier to do on a daily basis. They help us regroup and recharge. I hope that your DVC points allow you to continue to do that, but do wish it could be more than once. I also hope that today goes a LOT better for you at work!
