Good thoughts for Barbie. :wizard:

If you all could add my friend Barbie to your prayer lists...

She was hit head-on by a suspected drunk driver last night. The other driver died instantly. Barbie is very banged up with a broken femur. She had two of her four kids in her car, and thankfully, they are fine.

Barbie's having surgery today at 2 p.m.

Thank you! :grouphug:

Deb sorry you are having a reaction to the Z-pack. I am very lucky as I never have problems from medicine.

Oh Amy that is terrible..:wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

3rd graders are just as bad for missed homework too.

Thanks for the info on the cake. I doubt Nicholas would want strawberries in his cake, but the whipped cream frosting is good info. I need to decide what kind of decoration to have it done in. Maybe I'll go with the marble. Or maybe I'll just copy your whole idea. It will be for all 9 of us, not just him. And whatever I get, he will scrape the frosting off, eat a few bites of the cake and that will be that. He is NOT a big sweet eater. He doesn't come by that naturally!

Miles has wanted a cake with chocolate covered strawberries on it for every birthday since he was 3. I messed up with his third birthday cake. He just told me that he wanted a cake with strawberries, so I made an angel food cake and had fresh strawberries and strawberry syrup. That wasn't what he meant. By the time he was turning 4, he made sure to describe it a little more carefully for me.

How horrible! Many good thoughts for Barbie and her family! :wizard:

No food or liquid allowed through security.

No, no LIQUIDS through security. Food is fine.

Elizabeth, sounds like a good day at the doctor.

Is there really such a thing?
But yes, I suppose it could have been worse!

So, I have never heard anything back from my doctor's office from the mammogram or the echocardiogram that I had 3 weeks ago. Today I received a letter from the Breast Care Center: "We're pleased you recently visited the Breast Care Center. Based on your results, our radiologist recommends you have a repeat mammogram in 6 months. This is a routine procedure for findings on a mammogram that have a high chance of being normal. However, it's important you follow-up as recommended." Is this something I should worry about? Call up and ask about? Just wait and schedule in 6 months and not think about until then?

Morning all--
I am headed out early--I have my first observation by my principal today at 915-1045..PLEASE think good thoughts..Everyone that has been in my room says I am doing very well, but it always makes me nervous with someone
watching!
Ill let you know how it goes!

I get nervous with someone watching over me as well. I know you will do great though!

I missed this this morning, Jen! I am sure that you did well, and I would be very nervous, too. No matter how it feels, though, most people aren't out to find all the negatives. Most of the time, these observers really do want to see you succeed and offer positive suggestions.

I am back from the Dr. She is very nice! She said I don't need to make an appointment when I go in for Depo shots - just phone and ask the nurse what time is good to pop in. That certainly sounds better than the office where I was going!

She said she does not feel like my mom's cancer raises my risk above what it would be anyway, so no mammogram for 2 more years. :)

She also said there isn't any need to be overly concerned about bone density loss from the Depo so I don't need a bone scan and I don't need to take a break from the shots. Yay!

And I got my flu shot! :thumbsup2

Yay for a good check up!!

What a cute story.:goodvibes Emma got a wedding cake for her 3rd birthday. My girlfriend got married on Em's birthday and when Emma saw the cake she turned to me and said "Oh thank you mommy for my big cake! I love it."

I have no answers but here's some :wizard:

I just booked the Segway tour for Bob and my dad, as a surprise. It will be part of their Christmas present. I was, however, surprised to see that the price has more than doubled since I went a few years ago.

What a great surprise!

That's adorable! I miss the innocence of that age.

Thanks for the pixie dust. I really don't like doctors. Even calling them makes me nervous.

It appears that I would be in the 5% of people that get minor side effects from the Z pack. I can't seem to go far from the potty today  Thankfully I only have one more dose to take tomorrow. I think that overall I'm feeling a bit better though not 100%. I'm trying to find someone to take my shift tonight. I'm not sure how I will deliver food to the table from the bathroom:sad2:

Oh Deb

That sounds like a very productive, informative and all around great appointment :thumbsup2

I'd call for further clarification. If it was nothing it would have said see you next year, I think. I would personally need the clarification.

I am not Elizabeth, but I emailed Lindsay at work earlier this week and have not gotten a reply. She has always replied to that email before. I hope everything is OK.

Same here :wizard:
