With that I am going to bed....Tomorrow night is going to Costco to get the food to feed the kids on Saturday....call time is 7:15 AM which means I believe wake up time is 5:30:scared1:

Hopefully work will be easy so I can keep up with you during the day!!

I can do this. I can do this. Okay DDA, tell me I'll be okay!!!!!:thumbsup2

You can do this! I know you are so excited. You don't need no stinkin' laptop! I loved not having mine this trip.

Chanon - beautiful presents and door magnets. :goodvibes:

I just reserved Iron Man at our nearest RedBox. Tonight is going to be Movie Night.

Good Morning DDA!

Welcome home Elin!

The photo of you and Bob is wonderful!

Jennifer, sorry the girls are sick!:scared:

I have to teach in Leighanna's class today. I signed up as a volunteer for Junior Achievment. Leighanna is excited, I just hope I don't mess it up too bad!

Jennifer the link will not work without a password :guilty:

Elizabeth I went through this with Riley & I was getting calls almost everyday. I was so stressed & at my wits end. I'm sure this will not work for you, but I switched Riley's school so he would be separated from the friends that he always got in trouble with. Worked like a charm & I am so glad I made the decision to do this. Now that he is in Junior High, he does see some of these boys again, but they do not have classes together & so far no problems. Good luck to you & your ds :wizard:

I would consider moving him if there was somewhere to move him TO. I kind of think he would find the silly, immature ones no matter what school he goes to, though.

Deb - I might see if I can talk to the guidance counselor. There are only 2 couselors for 1000 kids, so I imagine her plate is rather full. We still haven't scheduled his 504 meeting, so I need to call her about that anyway.

Chanon - beautiful presents and door magnets. :goodvibes:

Chanon, you did a great job on the magnets! I couldn't figure out the honeymoon one, either. :rolleyes1

Tom - Have fun with Leighanna's class! :)

I need to get in the shower. I slept on the couch until about 4 AM, so not the best night's sleep. Hopefully DH's procedure will be uneventful so I can come home and take a nap!

I need to pick up my Z-pack when the pharmacy opens. Went for blood work this morning and had him check my throat and ears because they just starting bothering me. He said I am just starting.
So I am on a Z-pack.
Hope the Z-pack works quicly for you. :wizard:

Very cute Jennifer. :)

I had looked there when I was searching for it. Isn't that bread amazing?:goodvibes

Chris came home from work a little while ago. He isn't feeling well. It must be bad because he never comes home sick. He and Colby are taking a nap. I need to pick at least Nick up as school since he has an orthodontist appointment at 3. Hunter can either ride the bus home or come with me.

I hope Chris is better today.

well the Dr said that my ears were clear so no infection. The rapid strep test came back negative. She thought it was strep or tonsillitis. So I am on a Z-pack.

Feel better!

Safe travels, Robyn! :wizard:

Ditto!

I'm home! :goodvibes

Good to have you back!

We did! And, eventually I will be able to tell you all about it. But for now, here is a picture that CA Grill took of us Saturday evening during our dinner there. They were delighted to have us celebrate with them and came to our window table just after Wishes and took this to email to us.

I think it's a terrific picture. We're trying CA Grill for the first time in Dec.

My mom called me today to let me know her chemo went OK. They reduced the amount of Benedryl (which apparently was making her legs ache) and they eliminated the Ativan (which I think was completely unnecessary, but I guess they added it thinking the episode where she couldn't breathe was an anxiety attack) so she was feeling much better after today's infusion. 3 down, 9 to go. She isn't quite sure what they will do next week. They might give her another Taxol infusion, or they might give her a Neulasta injection and have her take a week off from chemo so she doesn't get too run down.

DH is doing OK so far. He just finished his 2nd liter of solution, now he is supposed to drink 32 oz. of water before bed. Not that he will be able to sleep, because he will be on the potty all night!

I took DS to Chick-Fil-A for dinner so we wouldn't be eating in front of DH.

Poor DS is really sad. He feels like he is in trouble and being singled out for being who he is. Like he is a bad person and he is somehow deficient because he is not as mature as some of the other boys. I hope the discussion today was enough to get him moving in the right direction, but I know for a fact that there are plenty of times that I tell him to settle down and STOP being so silly and he doesn't stop.

Good luck to DH today! I'm glad your Mom did better yesterday.

As for your DS -- that age is so tough. You all heard my stories about the Eddie Haskell bully that kept bothering Andrew. (You know, that kid moved to Georgia and still calls Andrew to talk, even though he was absolutely horrible to Andrew! BTW Andrew won't take the calls.) I can tell that Andrew is having a much better year this year, but I can tell that he's trying to find his way. He seems to be right on the edge of the popular bunch, that is, considered cool but not one of the leaders. He knows that sometimes those boys are too rough and a little mean, so he hangs back a bit trying to be cool, but also knowing that some of the things they do and say aren't that "cool." His athletic ability is what probably what helps keep him in that circle. They like having him on their team. Even though it's not easy for us with our schedules, I'm still trying to make sure the boys do some social things with kids from their school.

I think that age still includes a lot of sillyness for all the kids, and I think your DS, more than anything, got caught at the wrong place at the wrong time. Teachers are so overworked and I think they don't often take the time to find out all the details. Plus, they do get lied to a lot and I guess that sometimes makes them a little jaded. I'm worried what will happen to the schools now that they are letting go of so much of the staff. I know some of those cuts are open jobs already, but I'm concerned about what cuts will need to be made because of the "accounting" error! Here's hoping that your DS finds his way and can find a good balance between having fun, being silly on occasion when appropriate and friends that have a good influence to help keep him on a somewhat straight path and not to the counselor's office. :)

Chanon - beautiful presents and door magnets. :goodvibes:

I agree! Good job on the magnets and the wall hanging is very cool.

I need to pick up my Z-pack when the pharmacy opens. Went for blood work this morning and had him check my throat and ears because they just starting bothering me. He said I am just starting.

Hope the Z-pack works quicly for you. :wizard:

I hope you feel better ASAP! Loved the pics!

We had soccer last night, and packing for the boys' camping trip. I didn't get as much clean-out done, as Randy worked really late, but I did get a little started in my under the stairs closet. I also managed to get on the elliptical for an additional couple of minutes. I'll eventually work my way back up to 30 minutes.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Bear with me while I brag...

More than seven years after we learned our bright child has significant learning problems, (ADHD, dyslexia, verbal expressive disorder) we got his first report card...

And he got nothing below a 94!

I cried when the e-mail came in, I guess with relief that we made the right decision for him. I know my Mom must have an extra big smile right about now as well, as she took a big part in Andrew's schooling, grandparents day, picking him up, meeting his teachers. I guess that's another reason I'm so emotional. I also know this is only the beginning of what will be difficult years leading up to high school graduation, but I'm thankful that he's doing well now.

I can't imagine what I'll be like when he graduates...
