Great pictures Theresa, you & Glynis look wonderful! I am glad you had such a good time. You deserve some me time once in a while :goodvibes

How did the girls & Jim do with you being away?

I don't think they did anything....my girls threw themselves at me when they found me at the terminal.:rotfl: They missed me terribly and are not looking forward to the fact that this will become a regular occurance.

We have to have Camy shaved because she is a large cat & cannot clean herself good enough :rolleyes1

Ah. Aurora decided she would drag her tushy across the living room carpet last night while we were eating dinner. DH captured her and took her to the bathroom so he could wipe her tushy for her. That almost never happens, though.
So you shave the whole cat, not just her tushy?

Regular in what way? How often do you plan to travel?

WHY do you people shave your cats? Aurora would die of embarrassment if we shaved her!

Because Pearl can't clean herself properly and we couldn't get the knots and mats out of her fur. She was ticked...I've got the teeth marks and bruises to prove it. The poor thing seems to have arthritis in her hind legs, on top of the enlarged mammary glands.

In the summer we have her whole body shaved, winter just the tushy.

Theresa - Thank you for thinking of me. ;) There is actually red luggage with white polka dots at Marshall's, but thus far I have managed not to buy any.

Cassidy said she'd love all of the bags...I swear she's your kid:lmao: !! The picture doesn't do the luggage justice...though it was pricey!!

Does she go outside? Aurora doesn't really get tangles. Then again, maybe Pearl's fur is longer. Our pet sitter says Aurora isn't technically "long-haired". I guess she is on the long end of "medium-haired". Arabella was supposed to be medium, but she is on the short end of "short-haired".

Jen - She will definitely be in our prayers.

Theresa - Love the pictures! Looks like so much fun. You two look great!

Glynis - Your kids have gotten so big!

Chanon - Wish I had some suggestions for you. I like the ones mentioned so far.

Pearl does go outside but she is also a long, long haired cat. :rotfl2: We were able to keep the mats under control until her legs started getting worse. We didn't even get her hiney shaved until last Christmas. If, when it starts to get bad, Jim would clean her hiney (she only lets him back there)then we'd probably be okay.

once I find another job....I think I am going to do this twice a year!!:goodvibes

Good for you! :thumbsup2
I wouldn't mind getting away for a weekend now and then, but it is SO complicated to work around DH's schedule. I guess DS is technically old enough to stay by himself, but I am not comfortable leaving him when DH leaves for work at 2 AM.

This is the beginning of my 5 day weekend, though!

Of course I have to take DH for his colonoscopy on Friday, so that day will be shot. He is already pestering me about the billing and how he thought it was covered but they are showing we owe $125 up front. And this is MY problem because HE has a busy day tomorrow. Yet he called to tell me this while I was in the middle of giving Princess a bath. (My phone was in my pocket or I never would have answered it.) Isn't it nice to know that DH is the only person in the world who is actually busy AT WORK? Bonehead.
It has been so long since his last colonoscopy I think he was still at his old job where we had the HMO. We could end up owing quite a bit on this one since our insurance isn't that good now. I will call them tomorrow, because he won't do it. Even if he was off tomorrow he wouldn't call, he would whine until I got mad enough to call. That doesn't always work, but because we are looking at a substantial amount of money if they don't bill it properly I will call.

I think Janet said it quite nicely on why. Really, she just wants to help, but there is nothing to be done. Right now I have her seperating place cards by table so they can get numbered, then tomorrow I'll have her put them in alphabetical order. :confused3 Can anyone else think of anything for her to do?? Mind you, she just had her nails done... ;) so no major chemicals or else it will take the airbrushing off...
Will you be having a cookie table at the reception? I know it's a big thing in PA weddings, and I had one at mine, with hundreds and hundreds of cookies. That was a good thing for my mom and grandmother to do. They were baking cookies for months, freezing them, then getting them trayed and ready for the big day. How about addressing thank you cards?

hey guys , i need smoe more good thoughts--not for me, but my brothers girlfriend..she has a very important doctor appointment tomorrow that is SO important. Things are quite scary right now so i know she wuold appreciate it..shes a great girl

I have 3 long-haired cats. I have to brush them often and I am always cutting matted hairballs out of them myself. Sometimes they look like Edward Scissorhands went after them, but it grows back. ;)

We use the furminator on Pearl and it's great and we have gotten some little mats out but these were massive and her poor tushie was just a mess. It was also good to have her in to the vet since there were other problems.
