I'm sorry the sub scared Emma. I hope that she can get over it

I had a busy day. I went to work at 8 AM and worked on the menus. I ended up printing them, folding them, stapling them and making new elastic ties before putting them in the covers. I had to leave and pick up Colby then I went back and finished up. It is done and the new pricing was in effect this evening. Of course it was not at all busy tonight, but that has nothing to do with the new prices, just a coincidence.

Hunter is doing much better. He says that only one little spot hurts when he touches his ear now. I'll continue waking him at o'dark thirty since it is working well for him.

Colby seemed fine today.

I'm still fighting a cold and now have cold sores in my nose as well as a tiny one on my lip. Nothing is worse than an itchy sore cold sore inside a stuffy nose...except maybe lice :scared:

I just joined the DIS group on facebook. I see that some of you beat me to it :thumbsup2

I know I can count on you guys so can you all spare some good thoughts and pixie dust for my sister. She went to the dr.s yesterday and her amniotic fluid is high and her white blood count is low. They are concerned because it can be a sign of infection mainly the CMV virus or a sign of diabetes, she passed her glucose screening so I imagine it's not that. She is going for blood work today but I imagine it may be a few days before she finds out anything. When she was pregnant with her first DD, who was stillborn) she had the CMV virus but it went undetected until they did the autopsy on my niece. I appreciate it.
You got it.:wizard: :wizard:

So, I'm back from the hospital and my two tests. My doctor would be thrilled to know that I left the cardiac center and went straight to McDonald's. ;) I guess now I just need to wait for results. I consider it good news that they didn't immediately slap a wrist band on me and put me in a bed.
You'll be fine.:wizard: :wizard:

even better idea!!!

Absolutely!

I need to ask for some good thoughts too--I cant get too much into detail now, but theres something giong on at work tomorrowa nd i cuold use all the good thoughts possible--thanks guys
You too!!:wizard: :wizard:

Hello Friends,

Sorry if I forget someone, (I'm sure I will)

Deb - Hope Hunter is feeling much better

Robyn - Lot's of PD for your sister, and could Lucy be any cuter?

Elizabeth - I would contact the woman organizing the lunch and ask her what to bring. People always think Brandon is ours when we have him, but don't worry he sets them straight. :lmao:

Jennifer - Have a great time in Chicago

Channon - Love the hair and your dress is so beautiful, we'll all be thinking of you, and waiting patiently (not) for pictures.

Janet - Are you feeling better?

Elin - If I go MIA before you leave, have a great trip!

Jen - hope all goes well at work

Beth - :wizard: PD for wasted money and job appreciation. I do have to say though, that if Girl doesn't get some ice cream soon I'm going to boycott your trip report! :rotfl:

Theresa - have a wonderful trip, and we will be waiting for pictures, no excuses!

Glynis - Take care of yourself and peanut

Tammi, Terry, Heidi, Becky, Steffy, Tom, Bernadette :wave2:

I'm gonna ask for a little PD here too.

After having her knee redone my MIL was making good progress, Monday night she thought she was having a heart attack, and they rushed her to the hospital. Turns out she has a couple of blood clots, one in her back and one in her lung. She has been released from the hospital and is on Coumidin for three to six months.

While she was in one hospital, they took her brother to another. He has PAD and has had to have three toes aputated on one foot and had surgery to try and improve the circulation in his legs. He live alone and has been having a lot of trouble and didn't let anyone know, when it got to the point that he couldn't take it anymore he called and his sister took him to the hospital. He will definitely have one leg amputated below the knee and they are hopeful that the other can be saved.

It's always something.

Marci - :wizard: PD for you too, hopefully you will have a great repairman. Sorry about the dentists bill.
You got it 4.:wizard: :wizard: :wizard: Thanks for teh dittoable post.

:scared1:

This why I don't think I could handle a cruise.
I no longer cruise for my birthday. But December should be fine.:goodvibes

I just joined the DIS group on facebook. I see that some of you beat me to it :thumbsup2

Good morning, DDA! :upsidedow

Just thought I would shake you all up! I just waded through all the posts and it sounds like things are pretty normal on the DDA. I feel like I missed so much by not being here since morning. Just imagine how rough it is going to be with no checking in for 6-7 days next week!

I hope all of you and your loved ones are doing better very soon. Lots of sickness and upset around. Take care. :grouphug: :goodvibes

ETA: 1.) Where are our tickers???? 2.) It says it is 11:59 but it really is tomorrow here (12:16)

Robyn, poor Emma! I am sorry that happened. That would be something that would happen to DS. And it would fluster him so much that he wouldn't be able to defend/explain himself..
I h ope Emma doesn't have that sub for a long, long time.

Hunter is doing much better. He says that only one little spot hurts when he touches his ear now. I'll continue waking him at o'dark thirty since it is working well for him.
I'm glad Hunter is better. His ear infection must have made it's way to Alyssa. She complained of it hurting last night after she got out of the shower. Then she complained in the middle of the night, even though I had given her some children's motrin. So I gave her half of an adult tablet. I hope I can keep her medicated enough to get through school, then I'll take her to the dr. afterwards.

Elin I clicked on one of Jen's tickers and if you are using MickeyPath, their site is down.

You already have your Tut tickets, correct? I got a 20% off code today if you need it.

I feel bad for her that she didn't want to tell us.

::yes:: We have the Tut tickets.

Poor Emma! Did the sub try to console her?

Good luck on getting those photos done!

Nope, she didn't even apologize. Thankfully my girlfriend was there and talked to her.

:wizard: How scary :wizard:

Driving isn't all bad. You can bring everything you want and you have your own transportation. We would always drive if it weren't 27 hours :scared:

Thanks Deb. Sara went for her blood work yesterday and they told her she should have her results by Friday. I am thankful we won't have to wait until Monday or Tuesday.
We love driving

I h ope Emma doesn't have that sub for a long, long time.

Unfortunately the sub is the permanent long term sub for the school.

Yay for tomorrow!

DH is off today so he was in and out of the bed, the bathroom, the bedroom, doors opening and closing, cats in and out. :headache: I didn't sleep well AT ALL. Now I am grouchy. He is off tomorrow, too.

Momboss is having the furniture in the playroom re-covered. They are supposed to come pick up the couch & chairs between 1 & 2 PM today so I hope Princess sleeps through it.

Deb glad Hunter is feeling better!

Tammi hope Alyssa is feeling better today :wizard:

Elin yea for leaving tomorrow :cool1:

Kristine I hope the waters calmed down for you all!

I'm gonna ask for a little PD here too.

It's always something.

PD sent!

My back is still tender, but I think I am on the mend. Thanks for asking!

I hope it's even better today.

:scared::scared:I hope I live through tonight....huge waves....can't walk straight....so much swaying. Can't wait to see what adding in the wine package does to me.

Oh my -- I hope the seas calmed down. :scared:

I am never a fan of driving, but this sounds like it will work better for you guys!
Tons of good thoughts for your family!! :wizard:

Glad you are getting a bit better!

DH says you should drink white wine to minimize stains. ;)

:rotfl: He does have a point.

Bernadette - I have seen a photo of you and your sister and you do look strikingly similar! So has DH rallied any? Is he going to pitch in and do some of these activities with the kids?

I just talked to my mom. She has her second Taxol infusion tomorrow. The first one was OK - no horrible side effects. She got the scarf I sent her. She said she likes it. :)
Marci, she said to thank you for the bracelet. I imagine Diva will be the one who wears it, but Mom appreciated you thinking of her! :goodvibes

I'm glad she liked the scarf and bracelet. PD for another side-effect free infusion. :wizard:

Jen- Good thoughts for you tomorrow.

Debbie- Lots of :wizard: headed your way for your family and you as well.

Elizabeth- :wizard: for your mom

Beth- :yay: for going to the tests today!

Janet- I hope your back continues to feel better.:wizard:

Kristine- :wizard: for calmer seas.

My girlfriend called me tonight and asked me if Emma mentioned the incident in school today. I told her she hadn't and she was surprised so she filled me in on it. Emma's class had a substitute and my girlfriend was in the class volunteering and said the most of the kids in the class were being rather unruly and doing all those things kids do when there is a sub. The sub was annoyed that the kids kept digging through their desks and chatting. So she told them all they needed to stay out of their desks and continue on with their work. By this time my girlfriend was in the hallway and as she was making her way back in she heard the sub snap at one of the kids. She then walked back over to where she was sitting and Emma had her head on her desk sobbing hysterically. Emma was the one she snapped at. Emma's pencil broke and she went into her desk to get a new one and "got caught". Now Emma didn't mention any of this but I asked her about it and she got upset, she was afraid we'd be mad at her. I am willing to give the sub a bit of leeway that it is beyond frustrating that the kids act all crazy when there is a sub but I think snapping at the kids like that is uncalled for.:sad2: Most of the kids in Em's class were in her class last year and we all know how well they functioned with a sub.

Oh no -- poor Emma.

I'm sorry the sub scared Emma. I hope that she can get over it

I hate fever blisters. I hope yours go away soon and that the restaurant traffic picks up.

I'm glad Hunter is better. His ear infection must have made it's way to Alyssa. She complained of it hurting last night after she got out of the shower. PD for Alyssa!

Elin -- I'm so excited for you! I hope you and Bob have a very Magical Adventure!

My handyman never called back yesterday, but Dad hooked me up with someone that can fix my carpet. Randy actually worked on the compactor, after not getting home until after 8. I hope he can find the part he needs. I've already started bugging him about the toilet.

Soccer and homework tonight. Have a good day everyone!

I got this in an email this morning. This is the first economic plan that would actually help all of us out. I really wish it would work or that I knew who came up with it, but here it is

Here's a thought:

I'm against the $85,000,000, 000.00 bailout of AIG.

Instead, I'm in favor of giving $85,000,000, 000 to America in

a We Deserve It Dividend.

To make the math simple, let's assume there are 200,000,000

bonafide U.S. Citizens 18+.

Our population is about 301,000,000 +/- counting every man, woman

and child. So 200,000,000 might be a fair stab at adults 18 and up..

So divide 200 million adults 18+ into $85 billon that equals
$425,000.00.

My plan is to give $425,0 00 to every person 18+ as a

We Deserve It Dividend.

Of course, it would NOT be tax free.

So let's assume a tax rate of 30%.

Every individual 18+ has to pay $127,500.00 in taxes.

That sends $25,500,000, 000 right back to Uncle Sam.

But it means that every adult 18+ has $297,500.00 in their pocket.

A husband and wife has $595,000 .00.

What would you do with $297,500.00 to $595,000.00 in your family?

Pay off your mortgage - housing crisis solved.

Repay college loans - what a great boost to new grads

Put away money for college - it'll be there

Save in a bank - create money to loan to entrepreneurs.

Buy a new car - create jobs

Invest in the market - capital drives growth

Pay for your parent's medical insurance - health care improves

Enable Deadbeat Dads to come clean - or else

Remember this is for every adult U S Citizen 18+ including the folks

who lost their jobs at Lehman Brothers and every other company

that is cutting back. And of course, for those serving in our Armed
Forces.

If we're going to re-distribute wealth le t's really do it...instead of
trickling out

a puny $1000.00 ( "vote buy" ) economic incentive that is being proposed
by one of our candidates for President.

If we're going to do an $85 billion bailout, let's bail out every adult
U S Citizen 18+!

As for AIG - liquidate it.

Sell off its parts.

Let American General go back to being American General.

Sell off the real estate.

Let the private sector bargain hunters cut it up and clean it up.

Here's my rationale. We deserve it and AIG doesn't.

Sure it's a crazy idea that can "never work."

But can you imagine the Coast-To-Coast Block Party!

How do you spell Economic Boom?

I trust my fellow adult Americans to know how to use the $85 Billion

We Deserve It Dividend more than I do the geniuses at AIG or in
Washington DC.

And remember, The Family plan only really costs $59.5 Billion because
$25.5 Billion is returned instantly in taxes to Uncle Sam.

Ahhh...I feel so much better getting that off my chest.
