I'm glad Hunter is better. His ear infection must have made it's way to Alyssa. She complained of it hurting last night after she got out of the shower. Then she complained in the middle of the night, even though I had given her some children's motrin. So I gave her half of an adult tablet. I hope I can keep her medicated enough to get through school, then I'll take her to the dr. afterwards.

Oh no. I hope that you can keep her comfortable until she gets meds. You might want to ask for the numbing ear drops too. I didn't know that there was such a thing, but Hunter says they work miracles for short periods of time I'll be keeping those on hand just in case we need them in the future

Nope, she didn't even apologize. Thankfully my girlfriend was there and talked to her.



Thanks Deb. Sara went for her blood work yesterday and they told her she should have her results by Friday. I am thankful we won't have to wait until Monday or Tuesday.

Unfortunately the sub is the permanent long term sub for the school.

Since it is a long term sub you might want to speak to the principal about how she handled the situation. A negative experience like that could completely make a child hate school for years to come. Hopefully that isn't the case this time, but it sounds like the sub lost control so there will probably be a next time in another class possibly

I have to admit that I don't understand the "plan" at all. In fact, I don't even understand the PROBLEM. The banks loaned out a bunch of money and now nobody is paying back the loans so the banks are going belly-up? Is that the deal?

My mom was saying something about it last night and I am SURE she doesn't understand. She thinks people will be allowed to keep the houses they defaulted on, and not have to pay the mortgages.

I am quite certain nobody is going to magically own their home and not owe another penny. I AM certain, right? They aren't just telling people their mortgages are forgiven, are they? They are talking about redoing the terms of the mortgages so the payments are something the occupants can actually pay?

If somebody has the preschool version I would love to hear it, because I really don't understand. I imagine there will be some HUGE, horrible impact on all of us because of this, I am just not sure WHAT that impact will be.

Hmm. I was just reading that thread about the Disney "tour". Those dates are for 2009, not 2008! At least the Dallas date is for 2009. Guess we won't be going to an event in 2 weeks after all!

Seems kind of stupid to have an event 10 months into the year, but what do I know?

Yay for tomorrow!

DH is off today so he was in and out of the bed, the bathroom, the bedroom, doors opening and closing, cats in and out. I didn't sleep well AT ALL. Now I am grouchy. He is off tomorrow, too.

Momboss is having the furniture in the playroom re-covered. They are supposed to come pick up the couch & chairs between 1 & 2 PM today so I hope Princess sleeps through it.

Jim once again (third time in a week) didn't get up until late...so I helped get him out the door and tossed and turned and finally fell back asleep. Only to wake up late myself Not the best way to start a day.

Elin- for Disney tomorrow!! I don't know whether you heard or not but I get to go on a plane tomorrow too!!

Robyn-you need to talk to the Principal PRONTO!! Have your girlfriend talk to her/him also. That is a situation that needs to be addressed by the sub's boss. Emma is a good student and kid so I hope this doesn't make her hate school(or not want to go like Cassidy in the third grade...until we got to the bottom of the problem).

The more I read about this financial mess the more confused I get. I guess now the 2 sides are bickering over what to do with the money that is eventually repaid to the government? How about PUT IT BACK in whatever account they plan to suck it out of? Of course it's not like any of us get to vote on the issue, so our opinions don't matter.

I was going to email the principal but Eric said he is planning on talking to her when he gets Emma from school today. I'd call but it never fails that the minute the phone is at my ear the kids start screaming!

Theresa - I just dropped vanilla yogurt all down the front of my shirt, so I get to 1) go home and get a clean shirt 2) wear my swimsuit top while I wash and dry my shirt or 3) spend the day looking like a baby spit up on me.

Well, Alyssa got up still complaining about her ear hurting. So I took her to the clinic 1st thing. She does NOT have an inner ear infection. Her eardrums were fine. I guess that's a good thing, but the way she was complaining....sheesh. He said she MAY have an outer infection, like swimmers ear, because it was a little red. Or it could be from her rubbing it. So he gave me a script for some drops, gave her another shot of motrin and off to school she went. I hope I don't get a phonecall later in the day!

Robyn - I didn't realize the sub that you were talking about was the long-term sub. I thought it was a sub for the sub. Definitely get it ironed out now.

Deb - could you please email that budget plan straight to W. Well no, on second thought, not him. He won't do anything. Hmmm....maybe Cheney? Probably not. So...........we're screwed.

That's why you call/write/email to your congress person and senator. My emails went out earlier this week.
