I hope you find the perfect house Anne Marie :wizard:
Thanks Janet!

Me too! It'll be perfect. Great schools, low taxes, and close to a Disney store.
All of the above!:thumbsup2

Anne Marie - Good luck on the house hunt! :wizard:
Thanks!!

:wizard: for the perfect house!!
Thank you!

Anne Marie, I hope you guys find a fabulous house! :wizard:
Thank you!

Thanks!

Good morning DDA!! Abi is home sick again today...one of my volunteer/friends has a theory and I think it may be holding true. She believes Abi may be getting awful tummy aches because she's starting to cycle. :upsidedow My baby is growing up and I don't wanna!!
:sad2:

Theresa - Abi may be having stomach issues from stress. One of DS's friends has a sister who gets "abdominal migraines" brought on by stress. It started happening when she started middle school.

Marci - Definitely get a couple of opinions/consults because the first guy we went to was WAY too eager to start DS with orthodontics. There is a lot of variation in price, too. We paid about $2400 for DS's braces AFTER insurance.

Janet, take 800 mg. of ibuprofen every 6-8 hours and see how your back feels. I hope Garrett's eye doesn't scar too much!
I am starting to get the itch to re-do DS's room, but for now I think I will settle for clearing out all the clutter.
Happy birthday, Gary! :) Perhaps Gary would like a lovely 100 point contract at AKV for his birthday!

I have been taking some, I guess I should take more & see if that helps. I do pretty good standing & walking around, it is the sitting & laying down that gets me. Sudden movements the wrong way just take my breath away.

I could only wish that Gary would want points for AKV for his birthday lol

Poor Garrett-but stitches doesn't mean there wouldn't be a scar...I've got 1 scar on each of my eyes that both had stitches.

Oh I know, I just think the scar might have been less. But he is young so maybe I am fretting over nothing(let's hope!).

Robyn-Lucy is so cotton-picking cute:goodvibes

mine were from when I was 2...one day I fell into the sink (nekkid...I was singing to myself in the mirror before a bath) and about 2 weeks after those stitches were taken out I ran into a table. I have always been graceful. :rotfl:

Elizabeth -- I hope you're right, but the dentist mentioned last time that each child has a different kind of problem, that have to be corrected at certain times, with Jake's being more time-sensitive -- ie waiting would make the "fix" more difficult and longer. As much as I don't want to pay for both at the same time, there is something to be said for dentist appts. together, I guess. I also want Andrew's finished, if at all possible, sooner rather than later. He is quiet enough with his verbal expressive problem without adding braces. Right now, there are several in his class with them, so he won't stick out as much. However, the price tag scares me! :scared1: We're still trying to build up reserves from when Randy was jobless. We'll see...

Marci I hope the Dentist visit does not go as bad as you fear :wizard: Thankfully this is one expense I will not have to worry about. Garrett & Riley both have straight teeth, thanks to their father :goodvibes

Thank you Heidi & everyone else! I fear that today will not be much of a birthday for him. After work we have lot's more work to take care of here at home. I do think I will at least buy him a small cake for today, I have no idea what supper will be.

I need to get going, chat with you all later!

since they seem to be coming once a month around the same time as the other girls are cycling, I am heading toward the stomach/cycle problem. Stress would almost be easier (emotionally for mom) to bear.

Take it easy with your back! When mine spasms it makes my knees buckle. That has been embarrassing in more than one situation! :rotfl2:
Cake is good. Not quite as good as AKV, but still good! :thumbsup2

I did sleep better last night. No caffeine in my system was all it took. However, I kept waking up every couple of hours. Seems I was dreaming about Disney and got so excited it woke me up! :upsidedow

Disney Dreaming :cloud9:

My back has been out since last Thursday. Nothing new as it is my sciatic nerve, but usually it goes away within a couple of days. I have not had a good nights sleep since & I am really starting to get very cranky. I should call the Dr., but I am hoping it calms down soon on it's own.

Garrett went to a waterpark this weekend for a friends birthday & came home with a nice cut on his eye. I was not very happy that no one called me as I think it should of had stitches. His eye is a little puffy & of course black & blue. He was coming down a tube & whacked his head inside the tube. We have been using butterfly bandaids & it seems to be healing well, but I am upset that he will probably be left with a scar :guilty:

I did get away for a little while with a friend Sunday & we had a good time. It was nice having just some girl time.

Today is Gary's birthday, but we probably will not do anything till this weekend. Tomorrow is large trash pick up & we have a lot to put out tonight. Besides all the the stuff from the kitchen we have stuff from the boys room to get out. We are pulling up their carpet & getting rid of their beds. Redoing the boys room was not in our plans yet, but it is something that needs to be done. So for now they will get new flooring & futon beds.

Wow. I hope you back pain is relieved soon. Hopefully Garret's eye will heal nicely. Nick had a cut above his eye a few years ago. They glued it together and he still has a scar. Colby has on right on his demple. It's unfortunate, but it happens. He'll always have a story to tell.

Wish Gary a Happy Birthday even if it is spent working :sad2:

Really?!? Then why do I have my boss and her husband with the DJ and her wife? I have one couple from church that doesn't "fit" with the rest of the friends from church because all the tables have 8 - so they are at a table where they know no one too. Luckly the Pastor and his wife can fit just about anywhere...and then you have the "family-members-that-may-or-may-not-show" and you can't put all them at one table because it'll look weird with no one sitting there AND you have to be careful who else you put there with them because if the family doesn't show, would you really want to be the only 2 at a table for 8? :headache:

Elizabeth, :lovestruc Only you can make me name my seating chart Jimmy.

That is exactly why we did not do a seating chart. People chose tables as they came in and everyone was happy. We only served on dish so it was pretty easy. Personally I hate seating charts as you always end up wishing you were sitting somewhere else :confused3

Oh I know, I just think the scar might have been less. But he is young so maybe I am fretting over nothing(let's hope!).

:wizard: :wizard:

AnneMarie good luck on the house hunting.

Tom I'm sorry Leighanna is giving you a run for your money this week. Hopefully she has learned a lesson or two

Forgive me if I missed anyone, but Colby is talking in my ear and he can be very distracting.

What a Day and it's only Noon.

I got up at 4:45 and gave Hunter all his meds. When he woke up for the day he was feeling good enough for school. I checked on him when I picked up Colby and he was feeling ok so he stayed :cool1:

My Dad called and had forgotten to put out his recycling this morning and asked me to go and do it. I hurried to get ready and headed there before I needed to pick up Colby. I had parked on the back lawn last night as I brought groceries in through the slider as it is a bit shorter. Anyway when they dug up the lawn this weekend they apparently dug up a couple of large rocks. I didn't notice the pile and drove into it. What a noise. Of course I was stuck and the grass was wet. I was able to wiggle my way out, but did some damage to the car. I guess I need a new front pipe for the exhaust  It was stupid and I'm mad at myself for not seeing the rocks :sad2:

Deb - Well, at least you got the car un-stuck! ;) Hope the rest of your day goes better!

I just got an e-mail saying they need parents to staff the concession stand tonight at the football game. Nothing like waiting until the very last minute, is there? They will have hot dogs, nachos, and drinks. ICK! So all of the band kids are supposed to make dinner out of that crap or wait until 9 PM to eat dinner? Nice.

I am going to call DH later and tell him he needs to make DS eat something decent after school, then he can have concession stuff as a snack.

Here are Lucy's 1st birthday pics....(Shh don't tell anyone she is 14months old in the pics;) )

Absolutely adorable!!!

Beth & Becky-loving your TR's!

Jennifer-I was going to say Beth had an S5 but I see she said she has an S3. I have a discountinued Sony-I think there is something wrong with it. I think I may just have to upgrade to a dSLR before my next trip.;) My niece has an S5 on my advice and loves it.

Thanks! I knew that you had a Sony, but I thought that you had bought the S5 recently. I guess I must have remembered incorrectly. Why would you have bought the S5 when you having been wanting a dSLR?

Today is our 24th anniversary. I also have a nephew who is 24 today. I was running late and didn't have time to stop on the way home for a card. DH hasn't given me one either so I wonder if he forgot?

I could make one on my computer....guess I ought to try that.....

Happy belated anniversary!

Beth- Loving your trip report!! I think Elizabeth has good advice, start high. You absolutely deserve a raise.

Thanks! I didn't get in touch with the director by phone yesterday, so I sent her an e-mail. She came in while we were finishing up today. They weren't thinking about paying me more. They were thinking about lowering the tuition for that class since there will be only one teacher. I told her that the parents were getting the same program that they had been but that I would have all the work to myself. She said, "Well, you certainly don't think that's worth double the pay, do you?" I told her that I would be ok with 1.5 times last year's pay. She needs to call all the other board members and will get back to my by the end of the week. I am a little ticked off and have decided that I will not do it for less than 1.5 times no matter what she comes back with. It just isn't worth it to me. I can't believe that they would think of lowering the cost of the program and not even consider that I should be paid more. UGH! I wish I didn't love the kids so much, because the rest of this job isn't worth it. Sorry for the vent, but I do think I feel a little better.

Jen and I are talking on the phone right now....poor Olivia is running a fever. Please send her pd and prayers that way so they can go to the Halloween party tomorrow night!!

I'm going to bed.
:rotfl: and

Leighanna received her interim report.

Apparently Elizabeth doesn't have the only child who can't turn in their work!

Leighanna got all A+ in every subject but written composition. In that she got an F. :scared1:

We found her work in a pile of papers and sent it in. Hopefully the teacher will end up giving her credit for it.

I hope that she gives Leighanna credit for the work. Hopefully she has learned a lesson.

We have dentist after school today, and the dentist has been warning us that they both are going to need braces soon... hopefully we don't find out today they both need them at the same time. We'll also try to make my nephew's football game. Have a great day everyone! :)

Good luck with the braces. Laura went into hers as Matthew's were coming off. Miles is definitely going to need them, too.

This completely baffled me. (It is early, and I am blond.) Pick what? Does she mean Jimmy Buffett? Pick him why? Pick buffet? But only if I have a girl? At WDW? WHAT are we talking about?
Seating chart. Got it! :thumbsup2
:rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl:

I hope you find the perfect house Anne Marie :wizard:
Ditto!

Jennifer, I loved the latest blog entry!! :goodvibes When Emma and my niece were babies someone asked if they were twins. Emma and Alyssa are 3 months apart and Emma is white and Alyssa is black. :rotfl: Clearly they were NOT twins!

I have a nephew who is 6 months older than Matthew. People used to always ask SIL and I if they were twins when they were babies. My nephew was clearly larger than Matthew, and they really don't look similar. One day SIL had been asked once too many times, and she said, "Yeah, but I don't feed that one," while pointing to Matthew.

since they seem to be coming once a month around the same time as the other girls are cycling, I am heading toward the stomach/cycle problem. Stress would almost be easier (emotionally for mom) to bear.
Laura was like that for months before she actually got her period. She still gets sick to her stomach and has a horrible back ache that time every month. Maybe you have a while to go yet.

when Nick and Hunter were little we'd have them in a double stroller and people always asked if they were twin. As a matter of fact it never mattered what 2 kids were in the stroller we'd get the same question. Hunter/Nick, Hunter/Summer, Hunter/Colby or Colby/Logan. Logan and Colby are close in age and I still get asked that alot when I have them out together. Summer and Hunter are the same size even though there are 2 years difference so they get asked that too. Their reactions are much more comical than mine though :rotfl2:

During my morning escapaded I managed to misplace my cell phone. After a few anxious minutes Chris was able to find it in my car :rolleyes1 This is shaping up to be one yucky day.
