This morning, Matty did the unthinkable...

Every parent's most disgusting nightmare...

He took off his poopy diaper!!!!

Yuck, yuck, yuck, yuck, yuck!!!!

As a result, the boys and I are missing Alyssa's Saturday morning soccer game. At least Kevin gave the stinky boy a bath before they left.

Yuck, yuck, yuck, yuck, yuck!!!!

Between lice and poop, we're a pretty yucky thread this weekend! :rotfl:

YUCK, YUCK, YUCK is right!!! Why do they DO that???? I am so sorry you are stuck with clean-up duty, Amy. :scared:

These are a little freaky, Elin. I prefer animals with bodies. :rotfl:

:rotfl2: yeah, but they are the right price and very realistic! (except for their lack of bodies...)

I actually volunteered to clean-up, because I figured I would be a little more thorough. ;)

I'm grateful that Matty's mess was contained to only half of the crib, considering the other half is where at least 10 stuffed animals are piled!!!

I think I deserve a milkshake today. :teeth: I have lost five pounds on my "portion control since I'm breastfeeding" diet. :)

Have a great day, DDA! :wave2:

As soon as Alyssa gets home, we're off to a 5-year-old's birthday party.

I agree that you need that milkshake, Amy! And, congrats on the weight loss. :)

I am very happy Matty didn't decide to paint the walls... that is what BOTH my lovely daughters did.

These are $6 for a dozen at OTC:

And, because the price is right I have ordered 2 sets of these as a starting point. Now I will continue to look for other items.

Good Morning All!!

Today is the first competition of the season. A local Chipotle offered to feed the kids and it is home field, so no running around like a chicken with my head cut off:goodvibes

Though I am going to FINALLY put my design on a sweatshirt for Cassidy:banana:

Becky-reunion sounds great!

Deb-good luck to your cousin.:wizard:

I like those. I liked the heads too. Could you make the ball ones?

This morning, Matty did the unthinkable...
Yuck! When one of mine started taking off their diaper (probably Joe) I used to put a onesie on him backwards-harder to unsnap that way.

Enjoy your well deserved shake!!!

At our MotherDaughter weekly dinner at the local wine bar last night, Kristin and I were talking about Christmas at the AKL. I told her that I figured we would not take the two Christmas trees with us this year since there would be a tree in the club lounge and all the decor around the resort.

Her face fell. You would have thought I had told her that we were skipping Christmas all together this year! So, I guess we will be packing up our two 3.5 foot pre-lit Christmas trees again!

Now I need help. ;) Over the years I have always tried to decorate these trees in the theme of the resort. Examples: POFQ had Mardi Gras beads and and small glass ornaments with stripes and dots and glitter with those same colors in them. CS had little sombreros and parrots and tiny yarn balls. WL had black bears and cardinals and tin stars, snowflakes and bells. BC and BWI had sea shells and sand dollars and crocheted snowflakes. GF reused the crocheted snowflakes and had added pink glass bead garlands and tiny glass ornaments.

I want to get small animal and bird ornaments and raffia garland and things like you see on the trees at AKL. I have started my search online and figured I would come here to ask if you all have any places that you shop online that offer these inexpensively. Oriental Trading company has a set of animal ornaments that might work, but I would need a lot of them. I have two trees! Lillian Vernon used to have some great things, but they are no longer in business. Any other ideas?? Come on Creative DISign minds... :goodvibes

ETA: I see that the Lillian Vernon website is up and running! I thought they had ceased to operate! I still don't find the selection on there I used to though.

So my Aunt has all of her trees in her saloon decorated in this theme. She has glass balls that she painted a solid color like white or orange and then decorated with tiger, cheetah, zebra stripes. She has a lot of wooden and other ornaments that she has found at various stores. I will have to ask her where she found most of them.

Another idea if you have animal shaped cookie cutters. You could use the cutters with applesauce cinnamon dough to make a bunch of ornaments you do not need to paint.

You could do cinnamon or other sticks and tie them together with raffia like stars. Like in this picture

Or maybe you could do Mickey heads or snowflakes similar to these

Or just print out animals onto cardstock, but they wouldn't be 3 dimensional

Here are some ideas they may be too costly though.

This website has a bunch of ornaments and other things from Africa,

This has ornaments from around the world.

You could probably get some wooden shapes and paint them to look like these soapstone ornaments.

These are pretty cool

Diva did that when she was little. Brother did that frequently. But I was never around for any of those episodes! DS never did that.

I have been tyring to make a photo CD for my mom with our WDW pics. For some reason the ones I selected didn't all transfer into the "movie maker" so I had to go back and add more pics by hand. HUGE pain in the tushy. :headache: I have it burning on the desktop now, and whatever burns onto the disk will be the finished product! :rotfl:

Elin - Looks like you are finding all sorts of nice ornaments!
