Once again it's been a crazy busy week.

Anne Marie - Glad to hear Sophie is ok, poor baby

Tom - I feel your pain with the lice, both my DD's had them when they were younger, of course their hair was long and the oldest had thick hair. I can't believe the school doesn't send out notices, that's crazy.

Tia and Jennifer - have a magical trip, can't wait to see the pictures!

Elin and Kristine - If I go MIA before you leave, have wonderful trips yourselves.

Theresa - Sorry about the job woes, but fantastic news about the weight loss. Mine has really slowed, and even though I've dropped another pants size I haven't lost much more weight, I'm going to attribute that to the gym. I am doing some strength training to try and firm up some areas that are getting "flabby" with weight loss. I keep trying to tell myself that it doesn't matter how long it takes as long as I stay on the right path.

Elizabeth - Hang in there kiddo, I can only imagine the turmoil your mom is in about the whole situation. It took me a while to come to terms with my own illnesses.


Brandon has started football, talk about bringing back memories. It's funny to be out there and see all the kids that were playing and cheering with mine as the parents, and we've moved up into the grandparent category.


Tammi - I got the picture CD, Thank you. Don't beat yourself up if things don't get done, it the long scheme of things it won't matter if the house isn't cleaned perfectly all the time. Have I told you what a "keeper" Bob is?

At our MotherDaughter weekly dinner at the local wine bar last night, Kristin and I were talking about Christmas at the AKL. I told her that I figured we would not take the two Christmas trees with us this year since there would be a tree in the club lounge and all the decor around the resort.

Her face fell. You would have thought I had told her that we were skipping Christmas all together this year! So, I guess we will be packing up our two 3.5 foot pre-lit Christmas trees again!

Now I need help. Over the years I have always tried to decorate these trees in the theme of the resort. Examples: POFQ had Mardi Gras beads and and small glass ornaments with stripes and dots and glitter with those same colors in them. CS had little sombreros and parrots and tiny yarn balls. WL had black bears and cardinals and tin stars, snowflakes and bells. BC and BWI had sea shells and sand dollars and crocheted snowflakes. GF reused the crocheted snowflakes and had added pink glass bead garlands and tiny glass ornaments.

I want to get small animal and bird ornaments and raffia garland and things like you see on the trees at AKL. I have started my search online and figured I would come here to ask if you all have any places that you shop online that offer these inexpensively. Oriental Trading company has a set of animal ornaments that might work, but I would need a lot of them. I have two trees! Lillian Vernon used to have some great things, but they are no longer in business. Any other ideas?? Come on Creative DISign minds...

ETA: I see that the Lillian Vernon website is up and running! I thought they had ceased to operate! I still don't find the selection on there I used to though.

Elin - Nothing comes immediately to mind on the ornaments, but I will keep an eye out. I shop once in awhile.

Debbie - Yay for staying on track with going to the gym and eating healthy! Sounds like Brandon is having fun with football.

Becky - If I could get airfare at a decent price I would go to WDW for free dining. You should go to Homecoming.

If I was going to splurge at all, I would get a few of these animal ornaments and give them to the cast members before we leave. They are lovely:

They have giraffes, zebras, lions, chimpanzees but they are $6 each.

How large do you all think these animal head ornaments would be? Judging by the thickness of the cord and the size of the hanging loop I am thinking 1.5"-2"... Any other ideas? They have a LOT of different animal heads! And they are on sale for $3 each.

He took off his poopy diaper!!!!

As a result, the boys and I are missing Alyssa's Saturday morning soccer game. At least Kevin gave the stinky boy a bath before they left.
