Jennifer - Just finished reading your blog! All I can say is WOW! I'm just stunned!!! I've never had to deal with anything like that. Even 9 years ago, when we had our biggest tornado (Utah generally doesn't get any because of all the mountains around us), it jumped right over us. All we got was a weird green sky, and a deadly calm. However, Alan was right in the thick of it, and saw a lot of stuff.
I'm impressed with how calm you kept yourself through it all. Our church counsels us to have at least a year's supply of food, etc., on hand for situations such as these. I don't think we're quite there, yet, but I do have a year's supply of water (2 50 gallon drums in the basement, treated with chlorine bleach solution), and could probably manage to last about 4 weeks on the food in the basement. We've stocked up on canned chili, stew, chicken, tuna, etc., not to mention the spaghettios that I know the kids will eat.
Deb - I'm glad to read that you are feeling better. Let's hope that the nap helps bring you closer to 100%!
Tia - I can't believe your trip is so close!!! I hope you guys have so much fun, and that Phil has a good time, too! I know how much it means to you and to Terra that he is coming. I'll keep my fingers crossed!
Elin - I'm afraid Peanut has no choice. We are a very musical family. Both Katie and Jacob came home yesterday and announced that they have joined the elementary school choir. They start practices Friday morning at 8:00. They are thrilled. New director this year, and she has an actual music degree! They should learn quite a bit from her!
Kristine - I hope that things with Bill go well! Sorry for all the "crap" you've had to take the last couple of days!
