Question for the Day...

If you had to chose a location for a vacation other than anywhere Disney related, where would you chose and why?

I'm brainstorming ideas for our vacation next summer and I found myself wondering where you all would chose and why. Maybe it will help me spark interest in somewhere other than Disney.

We would probably go up Red Lodge and Billings (Yellowstone, too)....why? because it's where the girls grew up.

Other than that we would probably do a longer Washington, DC trip....too many things we missed. So much history, so little time.

One trip I want to make it out west to the Grand Canyon. Sorta like the trip Beth just took.

I also want to go to Greece, but not so much since we are so hated all over the world right now.

I loved, loved, loved Vegas, but not for a family trip. O M G would I love to do a girls trip to Vegas. What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.

I wanna do Vegas with Stephanie!!

If we are talking internationally I would probably choose Majorca or the UK.

I couldn't fall asleep...partially excitement/terror over this trip and partly the fact that I am doing my dang insommnia cycle again.

I also love going down to Cape May, NJ.
If I could, I would visit San Diego, CA, Las Vegas, NV, Grand Canyon, Carlsbad Caverns, Yosemite. I would also love, love to do a week at a spa.
Something else that would be neat would be a riverboat cruise down the Mississippi.

that could be next year's weekend of air!! Think about it....Vegas would never, ever be the same after the DDA went through.

Bob and I will leave here by 3:30 for a 6:45 flight. It has a stop in Atlanta and we arrive in MCO at 10:42 p.m. We have never, ever had anything but non-stop flights to WDW so this is hard for us because the flight time is more than twice as long.

What made you get a connecting flight? Price?

I came home to the oddest answering machine message tonight. It was CRO calling about our AKL CL reservations in December. They wanted to inform us that the price of our package had gone down and that they would be sending out a new confirmation by snail mail. The CM who called wanted to reassure me that our reservation number would remain the same. The total amount is lower, by about $45.

Every little bit helps!

Emerald Isle, NC. Why? Because it's the beach, and it's relaxing. EI is not all commercial like Myrtle Beach. We haven't been in a few years and I am really missing it. I love going to the beach for a week and just relaxing. Sleeping in, laying on the beach, playing in the pool, watching the sunrise/sunset, walking on the beach in the moonlight seeing the crab scurry about, collecting shells. Aaaahhhh...............

I like what others have said, Outer Banks, Grand Canyon, maybe the nationla parks out west..

We love Cape Cod. We have had many happy relaxing vacations there & as far as travel for that would be great. We play on the beach, eat too much ice cream, go mini golfing & whale watching. There is so much to do with kids.

It is pitch black here & pouring.

I am in today painting & making the house look presenatable for the estate agent. We are still so confused to the schools in NC. We like the town of Cary but their schools seem wonky to me. You can buy a house next door to a school but the district can send your kid to another school miles away. Here you go to the school near your home...makes no sense to me. Chapel Hill schools don't do that but CH homes prices are very high (for NC) & so are the taxes...I don't want to be in the same boat I am in now, just someplace else, YKWIM? So we have been researching the schools on line to get as much info as possible...still find it all confusing.

Sophie lost a tooth last night. She was so excited. Thankfully the toothfairy woke up in time to deliver her prize.
