So the Powerball jackpot is up to about 200 million. I hope that you are all buying tickets and whoever wins need to take us all to WDW this fall. That would solve all of our withdrawl symptoms :thumbsup2

Elin and Theresa have a wonderful trip!!!!:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Work was crazy tonight. I'd like to say it was super busy, but it really wasn't that busy. I waited on 31 people and it felt like 68. The kitchen was under staffed probably based on how slow we've been and with no microwaves now they could not keep up pace. People waited forever for their food. It will be interesting to see how things shake down tomorrow. Whatever happens it should directly effect me though :thumbsup2

Nick's birthday is Monday and he is so excited. I don't think he's ever been this excited. He even made himself a countdown calendar. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Is 13 a big birthday for boys? I don't remember it being a big deal for me :confused3

I think it is being considered a teenager :)

I'm in the need of some major pixie dust right now. My dad just called me to let me know that things with my mom have spiraled downhill rather rapidly. She's on dialysis 3 times a week, and for the last 2 weeks at each session, she's passed out. Her blood pressure becomes almost non-existent, and it's been really puzzling. Her doctor's ran some tests today and found that her new (well, 5 year old) heart valve is not functioning at all anymore. That is affecting her dialysis and causing her to pass out. It's very dangerous, as the dialysis is not working effectively, without that valve, so her body is collecting all the poison and not getting rid of it.

She has an emergency meeting with the heart specialist at 8:00 tomorrow morning, and they will most likely schedule her for surgery as soon as possible. They will try to get her stabilized, but dad is projecting that surgery could come as early as Monday, if not sooner.

If you could spare some prayers, good thoughts, pixie dust, etc., for my mom and dad, I would appreciate it. She's in good health otherwise, so hopefully this surgery will really fix her up.

done, Glynis...

Theresa & Elin what time do you take off tomorrow?

Bob and I will leave here by 3:30 for a 6:45 flight. It has a stop in Atlanta and we arrive in MCO at 10:42 p.m. We have never, ever had anything but non-stop flights to WDW so this is hard for us because the flight time is more than twice as long. :sad2:

Have fun on your trip. You are going to have so much fun. we are all very jealous of you.

Denise - I am glad to hear that you are enjoying the job. But sorry to hear you had to discover the "joys" of working full time and being a Mommy to little ones!

Jennifer - I am delighted that you and Kyle and the girls are having fun in ChiTown!

Jen - best of luck with the new student. I think you will need all you can get from us.

Jen will your new student have an aid? Most of our school's children with issues or special needs have their own aides.

I got the free dining pin code in the mail today (the Donald evelope). Doesn't work for our two night minimum and doesn't work for the December trip. I'd love to just up and go though too Deb.

I came home to the oddest answering machine message tonight. It was CRO calling about our AKL CL reservations in December. They wanted to inform us that the price of our package had gone down and that they would be sending out a new confirmation by snail mail. The CM who called wanted to reassure me that our reservation number would remain the same. The total amount is lower, by about $45. :confused3

Question, do you prefer a gas or electric stove? We have gas right now, but are thinking about buying a electric one. There is a black one at Lowes marked down to $225 & I am just not sure what to do.

I have always preferred an electric stove, but it may be because my father worked for the electric company. ;)

I have a student who will also turn 13 on Monday (we sang Happy Birthday to her in class tonight). It is a very big deal to her. She is planning to be all grown up when she wakes up Monday morning.

Question for the Day...

If you had to chose a location for a vacation other than anywhere Disney related, where would you chose and why?

I'm brainstorming ideas for our vacation next summer and I found myself wondering where you all would chose and why. Maybe it will help me spark interest in somewhere other than Disney.

Big hugs Glynis.

Prayers requested for my best friend Jan and her family. Her father died. He has been in and out of the hospital for the last year or so. He was in his late 80's I think. It is one of those situations where it is a blessing for him but a terrible loss for my best friend.
I'm so sorry Vicki.

I started to write two different things, but decided to go with my very first thought. I would be on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. It is the most relaxing vacation I jave ever had and look forward to it almost every year.

Well, you could all come and crash this trip too! :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

Thanks, Deb!
I'm not crashing your trip this time Elin. I won't be there until next week!!!:goodvibes :goodvibes

One trip I want to make it out west to the Grand Canyon. Sorta like the trip Beth just took.:thumbsup2

I also want to go to Greece, but not so much since we are so hated all over the world right now.

I loved, loved, loved Vegas, but not for a family trip. O M G would I love to do a girls trip to Vegas. What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.:)

I agree with you Elin, I am looking forward to next June when I can go down for the whole week with my family. :goodvibes
