DDA Chapter 11

We started with an even number of bridesmaids and groomsmen, plus my sister (a junior bridesmaid). We had debated whether she was the 8th, or it was 8 plus her, and opted for the latter.... then, one of Kyle's "friends" backed out a few weeks before, so we had not one but 2 extra girls!

And it didn't affect your enjoyment of the wedding at all, did it? I am getting better about realizing that I have to please myself (and Chuck when it is the two of us) and it doesn't matter "how it looks" to others.

If only I could tell my mother that. (Well, I have, but it hasn't sunk in.) She's concerned that Bob's mom bought a short dress and she has a long dress that it won't look right....

That's too bad!!! They both have to be comfortable. As long as they both know that one has short & the other long and they are happy with it, it doesn't matter especially if it doesn't bother you & Bob. Life is too short to worry about such things.

Right. And maybe I want a hole in my head, too!
I think if there is something subconscious it is the dread of dealing with my stupid Dr's office. I know they will make me have a pregnancy test, I know they will code the procedure all weird and it will cost me more than it should, I know they will call me (on my CELL, no less) to ask me if I want to pay the bill by credit card before I even get a printed statement from them or a statement from the insurance showing what they billed. I typically don't have an issue with the office staff but the billing staff is HORRIBLE. I am THRILLED that this will be my last visit!

I hear you! The girls' playroom is in the basement so they are stuck up here with me and bored to tears! We were supposed to have a birthday party to go to and dinner afterwards but that got postponed until tomorrow. It's gonna be a loooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnggggggggggggg day!!!!

Well hope all you east coasters are doing wll--weve been having tornado watches and ist raining and a bit windy, but nothing too bad..so now im just sitting and watching a movie

We have had inches and inches of rain and there does not seem to be an end anytime soon. The wind has started coming from the other direction now and is blowing harder than before.

I hope Tammi had a good trip out in this mess. Kristin and I are planning to go out and get our pampering done as long as we can get from the house to the car without being blown away.

I did. Driving wasn't bad at all. It was just like any other rainy day. Of course there were all the other idiots driving like maniacs and hydroplaning off the road but I didn't have any trouble. My meeting went well. I feel like I'm in much better shape financially now that I've spoken to an expert. John and I have come to an agreement about how much he wants/gets out of the equity, which is way under half, so I need to get things moving before he changes his mind. Now it's just a matter of deciding which loan to take. I need to do my homework on the no interest loans. My plans are not to stay here more than 5 yrs, 7 at the max. Bob and I have talked and if we end up staying together, we wouldn't stay in this house. If I am on my own, this house and yard is too much for me to take care of by myself, so either way I would end up moving. But I don't want to do it until the market turns around. That's where my 5-7 yr plan comes in.

After that I went to Justice, Just for Girls. Do any of you have girls that shop here? Man, I could go crazy in that store. It has all the latest fashions for teens and tweens. I picked up a few fall outfits for Alyssa. And some earrings to accessorize them.

Kristin and I are home with beautifully manicured nails and relaxed hands and arms from the massage. The wind and rain were not too bad, but the power went off a few times. Bob said it was off here at the house for about 15 minutes while we were gone too.

Really? We didn't lose power. At least Bob didn't say anything about it after I got home. He stayed with the kids while I went out and did my thing.

we just got a phone call that theres a fire with firemen on the roof where my brother is working--he tpyically goes on the roof and its SO windy...so here i sit, waiting for him to get down and call! oui!
