DDA Chapter 11

So I have 4 hours left in my work day and ZERO of what is supposed to be done or had my lunch hour and none of it's my fault but it still ticks me off!!

Deb, glad to hear you are feeling somewhat better. :wizard: that you are all better by the weekend.

:wizard: for all so you don't get any flooding.

We go bad flooding from Ivan (2 feet of water ) but now have a sump pump, so if Hanna is that bad the pump hopefully will take care of it.

Karen, your puppy is cute, good thoughts that the test comes back negative. :wizard:

Tell her I thought she was cute this summer too, not just in her back to school pic. I understand her hesitation with meeting strangers but everybody is a stranger until you get to know them and that is why I have no hesitation meeting any of you, because we know each other!!

I also have a teenage daughter who is embarrassed by me because I will talk to strangers (some not all...I do value my life) while waiting in line and I am pretty sure that some of the band kids find me a bit odd. So not only was I stranger but I was a stranger who has been considered strange.

I was so painfully shy when I was her age, that I can get where she is coming from. I still am more than I show. I really have to work to get myself into new situations and meet new people. I am sure that I am considered strange quite often myself (especially amongst her peers) :rotfl: .

Beth, nice school pictures.

Thanks!

Hunter loves his costume. He's wearing it now. :rotfl:

Colby has decided to watch his Barney videos :confused3 He hasn't watched those in years. It makes no sense to me, but he is mesmerized :rotfl2:

Riley's football game was canceled :cool1: I am so happy as it has been raining pretty hard non stop all day & it would have been way to messy.

Karen love the pictures of Watkins!

Deb you have been very busy today, me I just woke up from a nap :rotfl:

I am also painfully shy...really I am!! Until I am comfortable then watch out:lmao: But, that is probably why I do talk to strangers...it's easier to know your never seeing them again after that 30 seconds....and I am trying to bust out of that dang shell!!

Princess is taking a nap. I dozed on the couch for a bit, until DH called (for no reason) and woke me up. He is off today, so I think he is bored. As soon as the schedule was posted last week somebody asked him to work. He said no. Same guy called him again a few days later, again, DH said no. He wanted to have his days off, OFF! Another guy called him Tuesday and asked him to work. (This is a guy who used to be his direct supervisor.) DH told him no. The guy called again at 5:30 this morning. DH was in the shower. I heard his phone ringing, but I chose to ignore it. DH said somebody got in an accident on the way to work this morning so they were short another person. Why is it that he can't take his scheduled days off without being hounded?

I noticed I missed a call on my phone after I talked to DH. ExMomboss called when I was playing outside with Princess. She wants me to babysit tomorrow night. First of all, I don't want to work MORE after I work a whole day. (Sometimes I will, but it's rare. Ordinarily I will agree to stay later with Princess but that is it.) Second, it's kind of short notice! I need to call her back and tell her I already have plans.

Deb - The costume looks terrific! :thumbsup2

Janet - Yay for no football!

Beth - Bummer that you won't be able to join the DDA at WDW next summer. :guilty:
I am VERY outgoing. I talk to everybody. Sometimes it bothers DS, mostly he just ignores me. :rotfl2: He does like to meet the other DDA kids, though.

As long as the electricity doesn't go out. That is my problem here. I have 2 sump pumps in my basement and worry about losing power. I used to have a generator, which we got after Isabel came through in 03, but that seems to have disappeared.

Lucky duck. We are off to practice in a few minutes.

That's me, especially when we are at WDW. I am always striking up conversations with people in lines, on the buses, CMs, etc. Bob just kind of stands there looking.

Watkins reminds me so much of our first dog. He is a real cutie. I can see his personality in the photos  I hope that he does not have the disease. Is it serious if he does have it?

  To all the east coasters. We are just expecting rain all day Saturday from Hanna. Thankfully we haven't had much rain over the last couple of weeks so the water should have places to go without causing flooding. I hope that you all have little to no impact too
The way they are talking it isnt fatal. I would need to watch him carefully when playing and cut back on his work or retire him. He really doesn't work as hard as some do so I don't think it would be to bad if he tests positive.

As far as this year goes with the election, I am not sure who I like. I did watch Sarah talk tonight because I wanted to see how she comes across. Wanted to hear her views.

Apparently, my daughter has become quite a Obama fan. She called me to say that her hubby is going to introduce Obama tomorrow when he comes here to Lancaster. How that came about, I am not sure. I will be asking her a lot of questions tomorrow. :goodvibes

I'm the same way. I'm not sure who I'll vote for, yet. I've got a lot of research to do before November comes.

I thought so too. She comes across very dignified. I hope it's not all just smoke and mirrors. Although looking back, I should not have stayed up!

I think there are going to be some very interesting VP debates!
