When DD was expecting Brandon I crocheted him an afghan, and then I started one for my SIL that never got finished. I found a pattern for a Spiderman Afghan that I started for Brandon last May, and never finished that either. When DD told me she was expecting again I decided to finish the one I started for my SIL, but was determined to finish Brandon's Spiderman first, here it is,

And here is the one for the baby, so it took six years to finish, it is larger so that it can be used for a longer period of time. Brand still uses his,

I found a pattern I love and have started it in pink, I may have to go and get blue yarn and restart it.

I didn't mean to upload this but I did so why not share it too. I thought I was videoing all of wishes but somehow I kept shutting it off. Kind of like the time I was arguing with DH that I didn't leave the camera on, and it is all on film.

Hi, everyone,

We're at the Cape, preparing to board the Wonder in the a.m. - I guess we'll truly see what lengths DCL will go to to keep the ship and the passengers safe! If nothng else, I figure we'll have interesting stories to tell! We arrived today, and I'm really glad we didn't leave our traveling until tomorrow - it has been raining almost all day, thanks to the very outer bands of Gustav - and of course, Hanna's just trying to make up her mind out there!

I just wanted to let everyone know that we're safe (for now!), and I'll try to check in if I can from the ship! Thanks for the birthday wishes - this week has just been one huge blur - still trying to finish up some work before we board tomorrow.

Debbie - I was watching the late news here, and in seeing the traffic in MS and LA, thought of you. I'm glad to see you posted tonight - many, many prayers and all the PD we can muster that you and yours will remain safe. I so wish something would happen to just knock this storm out. My family in Houston is watching things closely, too - they might go ahead and get away from the coast - they might be staying at my house while we're out of town!

Stay safe all - wish us luck, and maybe there will be some sun and calmer waters to be had somewhere out there....

Bob and I got new cell phones today. We've spent the last 4 hours playing with our new phones - we kind of splurged on the Blackberry Pearl...would have loved the Curve, but the price point is still to high for us. So now we are on Alltel. By T-Mobile!

The advantage of being on a cruise is that the captain can steer the ship away from the storm. So it might be a little rough going, but you will be safe. Remember, you have Mickey and Minnie onboard. They CAN NOT be lost at sea. You'll be fine.


Debbie, I am sssoooooooo happy to see your typeface. I was getting ready to go through my stuff to see if I had your number. My heart just sinks when I see the projected path of the two hurricanes. I'm so scared for you. My friends in Miami are a little wet, but no wind damage. Gustav looks mean. Everytime I see the map I try to envision where you are. If they say you have to go, please pack up and come north! Please stay safe!!!
