I got mail today...I thought we don't get mail if they are closed?

I got mail too. I was right by the post office this morning and never noticed if they were closed. I guess it did not occur to me that they would be!

I did go to our AAA office this morning and they were closed which surprised me.

Your not kidding, it did slam into Cuba as a cat. 4, but as it heads for the Gulf Coast they are predicting it will be a Cat. 5

That hurricane isn't fooling around. I am starting to worry about it a little. The most we will get is rain, but it is still kind of worrisome.

What are these red box's you all keep talking about? I know they have to do with videos, apparently we do not have any here lol

They are kiosks that are popping up in places like McDonald's, Wal-Marts, and grocery stores. You can rent movies for the night for a mere $1.00! You can even go online and see where the location nearest you is and place a hold on the movie you want. VERY smart marketing. Why the heck didn't I think of it?!?!?

We did find a bed...AFTER searching high and low and even a second time in the same store

Cassidy picked one that had slats so we didn't have to buy a box spring (her current broken bed is a captains bed). We happened across a trundle like bed that goes under a bunk bed but it's not a trundle....does that make sense??

Oh Boo! I'm feeling better, really! My fever is down and I'm eating dinner right now - which is actually really tasty probably because I wanted "flavor" if that makes any sense to some of us that loose our taste buds when sick.. (But don't call me unless you really want to laugh at me because I lost my most of my voice today.)

I think we got mail, the offices were just all closed so I couldn't mail anything out. Unless I wanted to drive to the main post office, which is NEVER closed, but it's about 25 miles away. The bank was open, as it should be!

I am starting to want to re-do DS's room, but he has so much STUFF it would not be a fun project. He hoards, and he never wants to get rid of ANYTHING!

I have been trying to transfer all of our trip photos from my laptop to disc, then to the desktop. About 3/4 of the way through the trip DH changed some setting on his camera and the files are HUGE. I am out of blank discs now and I still have one whole day of photos I haven't moved. The desktop is showing over 1400 pics for August and I still have like 165 to add to it. My desktop is going to be completely out of memory! Do you guys leave your pics on your computer, or do you burn them to disc and erase them? Or load them to a hosting site? Or what?

Our Out of Town Boxes are complete except for the "welcome letter"...the boxes consist of 2 small water bottles, mini kleenex packet, travel candle, two bags of 100 snack food, purse calendar for 2009/10, bag of microwave popcorn and a pocket flyer on a local shopping area that's really cool. I might toss in some kisses, but all sams had today was "neopolotan" which I've honestly never seen before!
