DDA Chapter 11

Can you believe that I'm starting to think about vacations for next summer already??? I really want to go to the beach for a week, since we haven't done that in years. But our trip to BCV was so wonderful that I would like to go back there as well. After this December trip, I have no idea when we would go back to WDW if we don't go in the summer. Nicholas will have SOLs in the spring, so that eliminates a spring trip. We may not go back until Dec. 09 if we don't go again in the summer.

Yes I can believe, I have been planning for next Aug. & have started an itinerary :lmao: Value season starts about a week later next year, so we will be cutting it close getting back for school. If discounts come out for June, that month is a possibility.

Not the latter, as you both chose beautiful names. :goodvibes

 Thanks. I'm quite sure we aren't cutting edge either (ever)... so probably just "normal" like everyone else that chose the same names! We just apparently don't have the best timing! :rotfl:

It is a nice 66 degrees here right now with rain. The highs all week are suppose to be in the 80's, I can handle that! I also have the A/C shut off.

You should see the lawns around here. Brown as brown can be.

Same here. Poor Kyle is going nuts. We had such beautiful lawns when we moved in (love sod!), and have had two horrific summers since. Our weeds stay nice and green though

I've made a skeleton itinerary for our September/October trip '09, assuming we get the vacation choice we want. I'm only looking at it to try and figure out how to bring my family, etc.

Of course, I REALLY need to be looking at March '09 since I may (or may not) be able to book ADRs soon!

Same here, we are getting some much needed rain right now.

I hope it hits us next! We had more than 2 inches of rain the other day, but it came so quickly it just rolled off the yards. It was the strangest system. My town and a few neighboring ones in the county got between 2 and 2.7 inches of rain in about 2 hours time one afternoon, while the entire rest of the city showed 0.00". :confused3

So I found out this morning that we'll be going to Chicago in a few weeks (see ticker :))! Kyle has been invited to present at a conference (the "regional" counterpart to a "state" one we're going to in October in Columbus), so we're tagging along! Gas, half of lodging (at least), parking, etc are paid for. The girls won't be too expensive, so it's just my meals for the most part that we're paying for! :yay: I'm SO excited, becuase I've been desperate to a) go anywhere :rotfl: and b) get back to Chicago. Kyle and I use to go a few times each year, and haven't been in probably close to 2 full years!

I have to get off though, and get some stuff done. I have a growing list of things to get caught up on around here, and I also just heard we'll be going out to dinner with one of Kyle's attendings tonight so that cuts into my afternoon/evening.

Have a wonderful day! :goodvibes

It is raining really hard now, I am sure Gary will be arriving home soon.

:wizard: that you get the rain you need!

That is wonderful Jennifer, the time away will be good for you all! Maybe you can meet up with Kristine :goodvibes

I already know we are going August 7-16 next year. I think I have decided to go ahead and fly in on the Friday morning instead of the Thursday night. DH will have to work Thursday, and he is HORRIBLE when we fly at night after he works all day. :scared: I guess we may still end up going on Thursday, but that is not my current plan.

We are going to try to go December of '09, too. Either the first or second weekend. I'd rather dodge the parade taping than the Pop Warners.

We have to plan around TAKS testing in Feb and April. Airfare for Spring Break is so astronomical I have pretty much gotten past thinking about going then.

2010 dates are July 30 - August 8. ;)

And it doesn't help that I got the Adventures by Disney email with all the new itineraries. That Alaska trip is calling my name, but they are soooo expensive.

Jennifer - yay for a mini vacation!

What message should I put in the game program for Nicholas?

How does "Nicholas, good luck during your first football season." sound? Any other ideas?

Guess what guys??!?!?!?!?

IM A KINDERGARTEN TEACHER!!!!!!!!

OH MY GOODNESS! I went to bed too early!!!! Congratulations, Jen!!!! I'm so excited for you!!!!!

I'll get those books off to you as soon as I can. PM me the best address, ok?

I'm sure you are. Tomorrow you need to hit the local thrift stores for toys, games and potential costume/clothing. Hopefully you can find some great finds for little money. Check yard sales this weekend too.

Good advice! Check the thrift stores for books, too.

So those of you thinking we have an early fall coming..... is it nice/cooler where you live or something?! We're still pushing 90 for most of the next 10 days, and with 88-90% humidity! :headache:

Our high today will be 88 degrees, and then things cool down this weekend. We could even get SNOW in the mountains on Monday!!! And I was complaining about hot temperatures last week!
