Sounds like a good first day! I just hope, for both your sakes, that things continue to stay as positive as they are today! Good luck with the PE thing. I hated PE in jr. high. It was much better in high school. I'm not sure why, but Jr. high was horrible.
I forgot to mention, Fay took a more northerly path and all we got was some wind and rain. We definitely have to keep and eye on TD #7, it's headed right up hurricane alley.
We had PE in college too, but it was more flexible. I took Line Dancing and Bob took golf.I hated PE always. Still do. I think it is a ridiculous requirement. What REALLY chapped me was PE in college. I had to PAY to take PE!Anyway, hopefully DS will get through the PE requirement without too much drama. I only had to take one year in high school. I didn't even make an effort to participate. I just showed up.
Stay safe, Debbie!!![]()

Sounds like my parents. Sometimes you just have to put your foot down, and sometimes you have to accept graciously! I think you have chosen wisely; farmer's market, ok; Disney trip, no! You're a good daughter and it sounds like you have a good mother, too!
I think a nice sun dress would be prefect
Tammi I thought of painting the bottom wall, but it wouldn't look right with the wall paper above. It's funny because Hunter's walls are red and his curtains are lime green, but it works because of the comforter and valance. Maybe I need tiebacks with the blue wall color in them![]()
See what I mean

I LOVE Hunter's room though I hated it while I was painting it. It was the accessories that pulled it together.
ETA: He now has a lime green shag rug beside his bed too. It's about 2 ft X 3 ft or so.
Deb - I really like the room, but I think the yellow needs to be BRIGHT yellow, like Donald's bill and feet. That would pop the colors more. Right now I think the whole room is a little pastel for the Cars theme and a little boy. Is that the feeling you are getting?
So here's a question for y'all. Do you and/or your family make every bed in the house every day? I'm trying to get my boys (Chris included) onboard with this since I think it makes the house look alot neater. We haven't done so in years as there has always been more important things to deal with with little kids. Now that they are older I think it would be nice. Nick and Chris both feel it is unnecessary as "we are just going to get back into them". So what do you do in your homes?
For one thing mom is always yelling if you need food just come over and take whatever you need. And when I didn't do that with the bacon just last week, woo.
Today we stopped by a local farmer market and she just had to buy my tomato and a head of lettuce.
These are but a few things. The biggest being she didn't buy a house for such a long time, because if something happened to her, Dawn would get the house and she didn't have one for me.John told her I didn't need a house because we bought one together.
I think she feels I am being slighted, because Dawn still lives at home. But Dawn is the one taking care of her the most and I am married after all.
I never complain, but most times just wont let her buy things. She is after all on a fixed income and John makes good money for the area and what he does. But sometimes I will give in, like today.
She actually thinks that the next Disney trip she is paying, over my dead body.
I think Mugglenet.com thinks that it was because of the writers/directors strike earlier this year...Apparently it put the whole post production behind schedule (yet they had NO PROBLEM getting the trailer done and STILL on).
Just so long as the movie is still on. I'll miss seeing it in the fall though - June is too weird. I'm used to getting the book in June and the movie in Nov.
Oh well!
Well my P5 is over. Why is it when I'm here, no one else seems to be?
