DDA Chapter 11

V = Vixey (Fox and the Hound) or Voyage of the Little Mermaid (attraction)

X = XR (a robot from the Buzz Lightyear cartoon series) or Excalibur (sword in Sword and the Stone)

Y = Yzma (The Emperor's New Groove) or Yen Sid (Fantasia character and Disney spelled backwards!)

Z = Zazu (The Lion King) or Zurg (Buzz's enemy/Dad) or Zip-a -Dee-Do-Dah

Great suggestions Amy :thumbsup2

I plan on being there for my birthday (5/6) so probably the first full week in May.

Depending on airfare & discounts for the room, the 4th - 8th is what I am shooting for!

Leighanna lost her other front tooth last night while I was at work. She finally let her "snaggle tooth" go!:goodvibes

She gave me her tooth fairy money and told me to use it to pay for her plane ticket.:cloud9: Gotta love my girl!

She must have heard me complain to DW about how the price went up.:goodvibes

I of course gave it back to her and told her to save it for our trip.

Heidi, if you buy the "play" make up in the toy aisle for the little one, you should be fine. It is mostly glitter and washes off pretty easily in the tub!
Believe me, I know this from experience.

Leighanna did very well on her second spelling test. I should take a picture of it for you. She dotted her eyes with hearts! Silly girl! Where she got that notion I do not know!

Time for sleep for me!

Talk to you all later!

Stay safe everyone!

Heidi there is a lot of make up for little girls that have sparkles & scents. When my nieces were younger I would buy them make up to play dress up with.

Hi Tom, hope you are feeling better! Has airfare gone down yet?

Hi Marci!

So when is Lindsay suppose to return?

Janet,I don't know if airfare has dropped yet! I am too afraid to look!

Here is her spelling test. Notice her little hearts! ;)

I knew there was something else I forgot to mention earlier -- I love your new pic in your sig and the other pics you posted. VERY handsome boys, and you look great.

I think Lindsay might be back, but I'm not 100%. I think she was on the Wonder that departed 8/31, and arrived back on 9/4, but I can't remember if she was doing a pre or post cruise stay at WDW, or both.

Tom, tell Leighanna congrats on another tooth loss. They sure grow up fast, don't they?

How sweet that she wanted to give you her tooth money for her airfare. :goodvibes

So cute that she dots her i's with hearts. :)

Ok parents, I have a question.

I sent my cousin's an email about what to get the kids for Christmas. Kristy got back to me that the girls would love make-up, kiddie stuff for the youngest and stuff meant for tween/teens for the oldest. (they are 8 and 4)

Now I was never one to think make-up for young girls was a good thing to buy. However she does let them play with it, but they don't wear it out.

Your thoughts, please?

I am with you on make up for young girls not being a good thing but since we aren't the moms here, here are my suggestions:

for the younger one Target toy aisle(there are also great lip balms all over for this one)
for the older one get a muted set of colors from avon or somewhere like that. Neutral blush, eye color and a lightly tinted lip gloss...not lipstick, gloss.

I would add personal care products...smelly bath gel, soap, hairbrushes, cool hair pretties that kind of stuff. I would also put them in their own personal bags or boxes so there is no fighting over whose is whose.

what a sweet pea you are raising there Tom. :goodvibes

Good Morning all!!

I am surprised we all made it to our respective spots this morning...though Cassidy is coming home after her class classes (not sticking around for band, hard to play an instrument with a phlegm filled head).

It is nasty cold here today after such a beautiful weekend...blechy weather for a blechy Monday.

Alyssa, 6, has kiddie makeup that she puts on herself when she plays around the house. I do not allow her to wear it out. Even if we are just running up to the grocery store she has to wash it off.

Personally, for older kids, I don't think there is anything wrong with wearing makeup, if it applied to look natural and enhance the appearance.

Yay for TF $ and what a sweet daughter. :goodvibes

The hearts on the i's must be a nationwide thing, because Alyssa does it too!

You are right Tammi-I wish more MS parents felt the same way as I see hoochie mama makeup on a daily basis.
When Cassidy was ready to wear make up I made sure she had a proper lesson on face care and application of makeup (my mom did it as she is a Mary Kay consultant and has all the fun doo dads). When Abi shows an interest we will do the same thing.

Love the spelling test, and the "i"s. The hearts as dots seem to fit Leighanna to a "T" I would say!

I would keep an eye on the airfare, Tom... it is going up and down like Goofy's Barnstormer!
