hey Glynis-when's Peanuts due date???

I just got a wild hair....I think I want to travel to Salt Lake for my away time (if I can swing it)

Peanut's due date is technically December 11. However, I always go early, and I really want my doctor performing the c-section, so we'll probably schedule it for a week or so before that!

Are you really considering coming to Salt Lake!!!!!????? I would be in such heaven if you did! I would totally clear my schedule to spend some time with you! That would be so much fun!!!!!!!

Thanks, Jennifer!

I'm not sure what days we'll be around. We're missing the first game for the cruise (a good trade-off IMO ;) ), and I know we'll just be driving down/back the same day for the Arkansas game. Beyond that, it will just depend on the schedule. I will let you know if there will be a time we're staying longer than just for the game - in most instances, we just drive to the stadium, see the game, and then drive back home. It's easier (and cheaper) to not spend the night!

I need to check the schedule. Maybe if they are having a 7pm game you could arrive early and we could do lunch.

Well, we were very lucky and got 2 different Pin codes last week... so we are now going back Dec 13-20 at the Poly! Anyone going to be there during that time? We are not telling the kids. I think they are going to be so excited!

Stephanie and I will be there from Dec 11th to Dec 16th at Pop for Mouse Fest

Theresa - MS is a long way from Colorado, if you ever need to run very far away.

Janet - They do grow up quickly

Congrats on the pincodes, I would love to have one.

So I felt compelled to put together a then and now picture of DH and myself, I would say before and after but I have a looonnngg way to go to reach after, DH is already there.

Hey there HOT MAMMA!!!!!

Is it wrong of me to be really annoyed with one of Leslie's friends? They are over here playing right now, and I'm about ready to send her home. She is constantly trying to get Leslie to break the rules of our house. I have to intervene and really get harsh with her, and then she just glares at me. I am about ready to tell Leslie that it's time her friend went back to her own house. I've tried talking to her guardian about it, but it does no good. This little girl's mother didn't want the responsibility of taking care of her, so gave her to an aunt to raise. Lis does the best she can, but this little girl is so manipulative! It drives me crazy!!!

Ok, vent over. I've got them outside playing, so hopefully they'll stay out of trouble.

nope, it's not wrong...I've only had a couple of Cassidy's friends who have driven me completely nuts but it does happen and it usually happens because of life circumstances so I grin, bear it and try and limit the behavior...little harder now that she's older.

Glynis,

One thing I have always felt very strong about is my children's friends minding the rules in my house. If they misbehaved, they went home. No excuses, just sent them home. Somehow it ended up that my kids stopped being friends with them because they saw the person in a different light as time went on and realized that child was not really a friend.

at first I was thinking I would do Disney but that realistically is not possible. Then I started going through DDA'ers and places I haven't been and you popped up first!! Mainly, because I am not looking to go around to lots and lots of places and I actually have an aunt in Salt Lake so I could get time away and see family of all kinds!!

I just have to figure out a weekend to do it now!!

DDA.....I need help again......:worship: :worship: :worship:

I just made ressies to stay at HH from March 15-20th. However, there seems to be nothing to do. We are not lay around the beach people. My family is not into water skiing, kayaking or marshmallow roasting. My DGD has already declared she is going to be bored. The more I show them pictures of HH, the more they roll their eyes and say they want to go to Disney. Typhoon Lagoon. RnRc. TOT. They want to go to the "beach" at OKW. My DGD wants to see La Nuoba. She wants to eat at Wolfgang Pucks again. My DGS wants to go do Soarn'. He wants TT. He has a need for speed. My DD hates sand.

My DDil wants a relaxing vacation. She doesn't want to do Disney again with two toddlers. Especially another infant.

Needless to say, I would rather go to Disney. My family has park and more tickets, so they won't have that expense. We'll have a kitchen, so we can do breakfast at the villa. Plus I want my dinner at the CG and I want one of my kids to take me to the Princess and Pirate Party and wear the lighted Mickey hat!!!!:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Oh, what to do. What to do.... I do like to keep my DDIl happy. She is perfect in everyway. I couldn't have ordered a more perfect mate for my son if I had asked central casting. What I need to do is convince her she will be able to relax at Disney...

All the things that you can do on a relaxing vacation, you can do at Disney. There is no need for her to have to go into the parks if she isn't interested. She can just laze around the pool at the resort.

I just booked airfare! :yay:

We had to move the trip up a day (3/5-3/12 instead of 3/6-3/13) but got all of us (2 adult seats w/infants) on non-stop, round-trip flights at decent times with airtran for $392 total, including taxes and fees! :cool1:

I'm off to feed the girls, then we're driving up 71 to the outlets for a fun place to hang out (mostly) outside :rotfl: Have a good day!

I'm bummed. That means you aren't there for the 5k. At least I'll be able to meet all of you!

I am in a major funk today. I feel like I'm totally stressed out, but I really have no good reason to be. I have a huge to do list, but nothing on it is life or death :confused3 Of course any little thing that the boys do is driving me nuts. :headache:

My cousin is on her way to cut our hair. Maybe I'll take a nap after that and hope to wake up in a better mood :upsidedow

I hope you shake this funk quickly.

:headache: So I get to have the joy of coming up with a school contract for Abi and find out about Cassidy's boyfriend tonight:headache: :headache:

Abi got C's in 2 classes that for her should have been easy A's (band was one of them:headache: , science the other:headache: :headache:) the girl did her homework, practiced her euphonium just never turned what was needed in:headache: :headache: :headache: So we will have a year long contract and we'll see how it goes.

Cassidy is more fun...she has a new boyfriend that I know nothing about so I told her that she needed to tell me more about him...she said sooner or later:eek:  I said ...nope TONIGHT. I know he's taller (but almost everybody is) and she met him through this very irritating sophmore and goes to George Washington High School which is in the heart of Denver...oh and he calls her sunshine in text messages. ARRRRRRRRRGH.

Cassidy asked how my day was so far...I told her I've stayed out of jail:rotfl2: She asked what I had done now:confused3 I told her I've been a good girl and not done the things that have popped into my head. :rotfl:

They can be so frustrating! as you are dealing with this.

Glynis, Jennifer had Virginia while we were on our girls trip last year. So I am sure you will have your little peanut sometime during Dec. 3rd - 8th :goodvibes

Well, our doctor does perform surgeries on the 8th and the Monday before that, so I'm thinking you are probably right!!!

 all!

Lyndsey - Good to see you! Hope things are winding down very soon. I can't believe it's almost cruise time.

Denise - Sounds like great plans for your trip! The kids will be so excited.

Theresa - I hear there's an extra bed at AS Music Sept 23-28. :rolleyes1

Debbie - You look great!! All of your hard work is really paying off. Congratulations. :cloud9:

I know I read more, but can't seem to remember much from this afternoon right now.

We leave Virginia on 12/20 for our trip, so we won't be there when you are, Denise. I am glad it worked out, though!

Hi, DDA!

Long time, no "see" - I miss my friends! :sad1: I hope everyone is well - I have been thinking a lot about all the DDA'ers who I think are either in, or newly returned, from the World! I hope everyone stays safe with TS Fay approaching and are having/have had great trips! I kind of keep forgetting that it's hurricane season - we'll be on the Wonder this time in 2 weeks! :cheer2:

Can someone catch me up? I've gone back about 20 pages, but let me know if there are further issues at play here - I'm embarrassed to admit that I've been pretty much off the DIS since early June! :sad2: Work has just been crazy busy, although there is a (somewhat self-imposed) lull today - I'm so tired from cleaning and running errands all weekend, that it's been hard to be motivated today, not that there's not PLENTY to do. It's been a rainy, gray day, too, and all I want is a nap!

Lots of PD all around!!!!! :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

I am so glad you checked in with us Lindsay. I was about to email you again to see how things were going. :goodvibes

Debbie - WOW! What a difference! Your face is even more beautiful. :)

Olympics are on and dinner has not been decided.... I guess I had better get cracking here! Talk to you all later.

But here is some info from another thread that surely will affect our friends:
