Jen - congrats on the teaching position. :wizard: for full time though!

Anne Marie - I'm sure I've missed you, but I hope you all have a fabulous trip! See you in 2 weeks!

Well, our trip was amazing! Nothing big happened, but we all really had a great time. I was too short though.

We left Baltimore on time, had an uneventful flight, ME went smoothly, and our room at BCV was ready when we checked in. I must say that I think BCV is my new favorite resort. The ONLY complaint that I had was that our room was such a LONG way from the elevators. Everything else about the resort was wonderful. We had a great Epcot view and watched Illuminations every night from our balcony. Anyway, we headed to Epcot and rode Figment, SE and TT. The kids played in Innoventions and then we headed to Biergarten for dinner. The food was good and the atmosphere was fun. Nicholas made me dance with him. After that we strolled through some countries and the kids had their passports stamped.

Tuesday was Blizzard Beach day. We made it for park opening. Nicholas and Bob did Summit Plummit while the girls and I rode Teamboat Springs. We stayed there until around 1 and then headed back to the resort for some more swimming and a nap. We had dinner at Beaches & Cream, but we weren't up for the Kitchen Sink Challenge. After that we walked over to the Boardwalk and watched some performers. I let Bob talk me into renting a Surry Bike. The two of us had to pedal around 3 deadweight kids! Three laps around the Boardwalk and my legs were shot!

Wednesday we made it for opening at MK. While we were waiting for rope drop, Elizabeth and family spot us. Then Debbie and Richie find us. What are the chances, huh? We went our separate ways when the park opened. I really had no intention of staying at MK all day, but the weather this trip was incredibly milder than I anticipated, so we stayed until our ADR at 1900 Park Fare at 4:30. We FP'd SM, rode Buzz, Pooh, Tea Cups, HM, Splash, FP'd BTMRR, Jungle Cruise, Tiki Birds, Carousel, Snow White, Philharmagic, CoP, and TTA. I think that covers everything. Dinner was fun and the kids really liked the antics of the wicked stepsisters. When we got back to the Beach Club we went to the campfire and roasted marshmallows. Another reason we enjoyed that resort.

Thursday we made it for RD at HS. Straight to Toy Story we went, got FPs and rode standby. It was fun, and very addicting, like a video game....always wanting to keep playing to try to beat your high score. There wasn't much here that we wanted to do, other than the main attractions. We rode ToT and RnRC, which Bethany wasn't tall enough for, but she was a good sport about it. Alyssa wanted to try for the Jedi Training Academy, which she got picked for. And Nicholas got recruited by the Green Army Soldiers for their little street show that they do. We headed back to BC to get ready for the DDA dinner. I tell ya, I could sit around for hours and visit with you ladies. It was nice to see everyone again and meet some new people. I really enjoyed meeting the children of the DDA. Riley and Elizabeth's DS spent time teaching Nicholas the ropes of pin trading, which did a lot of this trip. Then it was back to the campfire for more marshmallow roasting.

This morning was spent at Epcot finishing up what we didn't do on Monday.....Soarin', M:S, Nemo, Crush (Alyssa got picked to ask a question). We had to be back at BC at noon for ME to MCO. :( We visited and pin-traded with Art before leaving. Yes, Anne Marie, he is really a nice man. When we arrived at the airport we found out that our flight was delayed an hour and 15 minutes, which we could have used to stay in the park. I gues there was bad weather around the Philly/Baltimore/NY area.

So that's it in a nutshell. It sounds like a really busy week, but I'd have to say this was a much more slower paced trip than I usually do. We all were very sad to leave, but it's good to know we'll go back in 3 months!

:welcome: home Tammi!

So happy your trip was so nice. Thanks for the report..

Hi! We made it to California. Our flights were bumpy but luckily not delayed, like several other flights. We got to our hotel around 2am CA time. We got up at and then went to Disneyland. We wanted to be there for rope drop at 8am. Well my Dad's cousin was meeting us with tickets. It was after 9am till they arrived. We accomplished a lot today. I gotta get to bed as we are heading out early again tomorrow.

Oh, I almost forgot. We were sitting in the Enchanted Tiki room and my brother got an email which we though was a confirmation that our parent's flights were canceled. After further investigation it is an email stating they are flying out at 6:40am on Saturday. So our parents are probably getting ready now for their 6:40am flight to Cleveland and then to LAX. They are joining us afterall.:woohoo:  :cool1: They had even canceled the cruise and managed to rebook in the same stateroom. This has been the weirdest 48 hours of my life.

I hope all of you are doing well.

Great news Becky!!!:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: This is the crusie your grandmother wants the family to go on isn't it?:woohoo: :woohoo:

Sorry I have been so spotty posting. There is so much going on here, that some days it is all I can do to just read along.

Tammi - sounds like the perfect summer vacation to me!

Becky - I am delighted to hear that your parents are joining you! That is just perfect!! HAVE A BALL. :beach:

Steffy - I am sorry that real life is hard right now. Know that we are thinking of you and come back to make us smile when you can. :goodvibes

It is another glorious day here in Virginia. The weather has spoiled us rotten and I wish I cold bottle it up to send to all of you having horrible weather.

I am going to take my coffee out to the patio! I need to feed the hummingbirds, listen to some good music and read a little. I will check in later. Enjoy your mornings, everyone! :wave2:

Good morning. :)

Becky - Enjoy your time in CA! Sounds like it is going great so far.

Kristine - many prayers for Bill. :wizard:

Stephanie - I hope life settles for you a bit. We will be here waiting.

Well so much for the weather, really I should known better. It rained almost all night last night, so we are waiting for a little sun (yeah right) to dry the lawn some. Luckily everything is supposed to start at 11, so ya all have time to get here. ;)

Welcome home Tammi, sounds like a very nice time.

Becky, :yay: for your parents going on the cruise after all.

Hi Stephanie, hope real life slows down a little for you soon.

Becky, I'm so glad your parents are joining you after all!

Jen, please keep us posted... I hope the Kindergarten job works out!!!!

Welcome home Tammi!

Have a great trip Anne Marie (and family)!

Looks like I am in going to be heading into some stressful times...

I hope that the tests find the source of Bill's issues quickly. Lots of :wizard: and prayers for you all.

So i have more good news to share--its early, but I have to tell someone!
I just got a phone call from the head of the elementary department of the district that offered me the long term sub position.
She wants me to come in on Wednesday morning to meet with her and 2 principals. They are waiting on approval for a grant and if it gets approved (which they think it will) there will be an open kindergarten position and she wants me to have it!

That would be so great!!! I'll be praying that the grant comes through for you. :wizard:

Hi, everyone. Work is going well so far, and I love being int he NICU. I work Sat, Sun, and Mon. I have a new preceptor as my last one literally ditched me at the beginning of the shift and left me with 3 babies as she didn't like working the "not as sick babies". And she's one of the new Clinicians and precepting is part of her job. She told me they didn't pay her any "extra" for it, and she wasn't going to be stuck with me for 8 weeks... What a B**TCH!

I'm glad things are going well, the terrible precept notwithstanding. Good luck on your trip plans. I'll be the kids will love both resorts.

Many parents simply do not correct their children at all. You wouldn't believe some of the kids that come into the restaurant, the eat like animals and behave worse.

And they leave the table, floor, etc a disaster and usually leave little tip as well in my experience. Phil says the same thing about families that come through the bookstore.

One one hundreth of a second!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG He is fantastic

It was insane! We missed the race as Kristi was hosting a Stampin' Up party to help Erin get started as a consultant. We did the see million replays and alaysis though since it was so close. Absolutley amazing!

We're baaaack!!!!

Welcome back! It sounds like you had an absolutely wonderful trip.

That is wonderful!! I'm so glad they are going to make it.

Karen - I hope that Watkins has a better day today. I know that Terra has always been taught that a service dog has a job to do and to just observe from a distance unless told otherwise. There are always more kids though that just run right up with no guidance from mom or dad. :grouphug:
