Jennifer (bear) - I found drink packets to mix with water bottles at our local grocery store. They are called 4C Tea to Go http://www.4c.com and the individual packets contain Splenda, not aspartame. If it looks like something you would like to try and you can' find it locally, let me know and I will send you some.

yes, it was... another gold medal and world record. He looked tired, though, don't you think?

lol....you all can be coy but not that coy...the poor boy IS tired and should be...he has now outmedalled my all time favorite Olympian...Mark Spitz:lovestruc

I had already given up trying to hide the results from your and Jennifer (tink) because you both said it wouldn't matter. :goodvibes

He said after last night's swim that his body didn't feel right so I hope there is nothing wrong. He has more gold medals than any other Olympian ever. Amazing!

oh I did not hear that. Yes he did look a little tired. But he still managed to get a world record.

hmm pink lemonade I will try to look here and let you know. They are 6.99 on line how much do you think they were at your store. What is your local store?

Just remember that they are tea based and I found them to be less strong than Crystal Light.

ETA: I just noticed on their website that they have some drink sticks that are not tea-based. They also look very reasonably priced right there so I am not certain I can buy them and ship them to you for what they're charging!

I wish you the best. I so understand the trying to balance the need for money with the need to be home for the kids. That is a balancing act that I do daily. It can be so frustrating trying to find the right mix.

That's the dilemma, I want to be home in the evenings for the girls but need to get out of this house during the day without incurring exorbitant daycare bills.

Robyn-I hope everything works out so that
you can stop watching the boys.

Thanks, me too.

Theresa and Robyn - Many prayers and wishes for your interviews. I hope the right thing comes along for you both.

Theresa - Hope Abi is feeling better. Yeah for improving temps by parade time.

Robyn - So glad that Mo is doing better!!

Jen - I'm so glad you're a little more on the mend. Hope the appt proves to be uneventful. I hope that Joe is doing better too.

Jennifer - Our prayers for your current situation. Never a fun thing to deal with.

Elin - Sounds like you finally have a workable first day.

Marci - Hope all goes well with the workman today and the house repairs cease and desist very soon! Even more than things cool down for you!

Debbie - Have a great trip!

To anyone I missed.... :wave2: :wizard: and :grouphug:

Thanks, and I hope you find something that's just right for you and Terra.

On good news front, though, I picked up the perfect cancellation at 1900 Park Fare today. Terra's been talking alot about Cinderella being her favorite so I think she'll be excited. Now if I could just get someone to drop a LeCellier on one of three days, I'll have them all! Of course, with the way talk has been lately, maybe that's not too big a deal. I can get cheddar cheese soup and salmon at F&WF and be satisfied, I'm sure.

:cool1: on 1900 PF!!

So I found the masks.:cool1: :cool1: One thing found. I really gotta pack. It is much easier said then done given my gimpy state. I go to one room to pack, but then realize things are in another room. I get distracted in the other room or decide to sit down as standing on one leg for lengths of time is difficult. Or balancing or both with crutches is difficult. Then I can not take the items to the other room unless I have a backpack to transport things. It is very slow going. Considering it is one of my least favorite things, it is just totally unpleasant.

Also if you could send good thoughts my Dad's way that would be appreciated he has been having stomach issues. He went for some tests today. He has a doctor's appointment yet tonight. I hope everything is OK and he starts feeling better so he can enjoy the trip.

I hope that all of you are doing well.

I'm glad the masks turned up. :wizard: for your dad.

I could use the powers of the DDA please... Dana has his interview for the NC position on Thursday. If anyone can send some good thoughts this way it would be much appreciated. We have talked about it alot & think it might be a good thing for us. All the kids are on board with the idea too. If we don't move then fine but we are all excited about it if it does happen.

:wizard: and good thoughts for Dana. It sounds like an amazing oppurtunity for you all.

Theresa,
Good luck!

Robyn,
Good luck too! More:wizard: for Molly.

Jennifer,
:wizard: for your finances.

Thanks Anne Marie.

Anne Marie and Robyn, your families will both be in my thoughts and prayers with interviews, job decisions, etc! :wizard:

Thanks Jennifer. How are the girls tonight?

:wizard: :wizard:

Once you get through the unpleasant task of packing you will be off on a grand adventure :goodvibes

It seems many of the DDA and or Families are searching for better career opportunities. I wonder if unrest is in the air :confused3 I wish you all well. I need to get finger printed for the school as I am hoping to be a part time sub this year. The extra money would be greatly welcomed as I am no longer doing daycare for my niece and nephew. I am fortunate at the moment to be getting a lot of nights at the restaurant, but customers are down and even the ones coming have cut back on tips. I am probably still making less this year than I did last year though I'm working more hours. I seem to go through the debate about how I could work morning, but still be able to pick up Colby at 11 AM. So far I have no good ideas other than occasional sub. If anyone has any suggestions please enlighten me :flower3:

:wizard: that the subbing helps supplement your income.
It seems so, but I'm sure we'll all find exactly where we are supposed to be.

and another great swim

He really is amazing!!

yes, it was... another gold medal and world record. He looked tired, though, don't you think?

He does, but his schedule is really insane. He only had an hour down time last night between swims. I cannot even imagine how exhausting it must be.

Did you see the piece on him the other night in regards to his daily eating? 10,000 calories a day!!! OMG, I'd weigh a 1,000 pounds!

They did fairly well, which is why I wasn't on to respond. When they got sick, Avery forgot how to sleep  It was taking about 3 hours to get her back to go to sleep every night around 10, which put me to sleep at about 2am. They wake up for the day by 6:30a at the latest usually, so 4 hours of sleep (usually with a feed in between) is not good for me, but especially not for an 8 week old! (She was "sleeping" more, but not sound, nighttime sleep). We're trying to find a schedule that alleviates that random, inconsolable nighttime period. Elise has seemed to start to grow out of it, just as Avery is learning it? Boo! So last night, when she seemed to be fairly sound still at 9:45, I went to bed! (Ordinarily, I don't bother becuase by 9:30 she's waking up, and it's SO frustrating to be up with her after getting a taste of sleep :rotfl: )

Anyway, thanks for asking... lol.

As for Phelps, I wasn't too surprised to hear of his intake. Did they say that was just during this time of consecutive races? It seems like a lot, even for such an athlete. That's a lot of food, especially since you know it's not all junk! :)

I did have a couple of friends who swam collegiate though, and during training months they would take in about 5000 calories per day, and during months heavy with meets it would be about 7500. Crazy! I know when I was dancing and cheering (about 4 hours of strenuous activity daily x 6+ days a week), I was supposed to be taking in like 3600, even as a (small) girl.

Hmm...... maybe exercise really IS what would keep us all thin? :rotfl: If only it weren't a)boring and b) time-consuming! ;)

Jennifer, :wizard: that the girls figure out sleeping soon.

Thanks! I was so spoiled in that they were sleeping through the night (5-6 hour stretches) by the time they were 5 weeks old.... so I can't complain. But I CAN say that I'd love for that to happen again (and maybe soon?) :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

He is an amazing young man, isn't he? After watching the updates on that race I see now that it wasn't his body that was letting him down it was his goggles! He did get them fixed in time for the relay though! :thumbsup2

For those of you who have upcoming trips... there are "rumors" that there are AP rates and the possibility of Disney Visa pacakages being released. Some rumors say some of them are out already. I can't find them yet.

ETA: The Codes Board is reporting the following for stars of September 28-December 23. They are also saying that the discount is not very good.

I just called and got AP rates to but they I have to say they seem very limited, especially in Oct.
Here are codes I was given

Room only AP: PWE

AP with base dining:DHZ

AP with dlx dine: JZJ
