Tammi - Another glorious day here for your drive to BWI. I hope you all have a most magical time and that Mother Nature smiles on all your days in WDW.

What a day!!! My DD and I hosted a baby shower... well actually we offered our home, the grandparents-to-be provided the food, drink and games. :goodvibes

All we had to do was clean the house, make sure there were paper towels and toliet paper, and chairs for 30. Easy breazy right? Nope. My DD is down for the count. Stomach cramps, headache, an abnormal attachment to the bathroom type sick.

So I shined up the house, stocked the bathrooms, shined the sinks and got the chairs. Thank you God for the beautiful day, because we could do most of it outside. We made the dining room table into a buffet, but played the games and actually ate outside. Woo Hoo! The expected 30 turned into more like 50, but that was fine. I still have a refrdigerator full of food and everyone took home a platter. I'm not kidding. The women cooked like they were expecting 100. :yay:

The Olympic games have been great. Kim did so well in her first Olympic game! USA beat Japan 3 sets to 2. They had to play just a few hours after the brutal stabbing of their teammates' parents.

I just read about the brutal stabbing deaths of the American parents. How tragic.

Isn't that just awful, during what should have been a very joyous time for that family.

Your shower sounds like it was a lot of fun. I'm glad the weather cooperated.

I am so angry with our cat. He has been chosing to pee in places other than his cat box. Mostly in the laundry room and we assumed he was mad that we had been gone for 3 weeks. Last night Colby left his POTC treasure trunk suitcase open in the entry with clothes that he had taken to my parent's house still in it. The cat chose to pee in his trunk. I have no idea how or if I will ever get the smell out of it  I don't know how to correct his behavior. We have one cat and he already has 2 litter boxes just for him

Tammi have a safe and enjoyable trip. Are the kids excited yet?

I hope the weather in Fl is as mild as it has been here. I don't think we've ever seen this kind of weather in August. We are going up 301, leaving from Bob's house. I can't drop the doggies off until 2 so we'll head out shortly after that. I'm so  :cool1: :yay: :dance3: :woohoo: !

I just realized I can get my boarding passes in 20 minutes!

Is Airtran one of the airlines that participates with WDW?

Good morning. :)

That's for all the magical wishes, everyone!

ONE MORE DAY!!!!!!!!!

Last night Kristin and I took her best friend and her mother to a wine and cheese pairing at Ingleside Winery over on the Northern Neck of Virginia (about 40 miles east of here).

Wow! We were duly impressed. They had three tasting stations set up in the gift shop and cask area. There were tables set up in the two rooms with baskets, platters and serving bowls of breads, crackers, olives, apples and pears, and various nuts. Each station had two wines and an individual plate of cheeses that had been selected to pair with that wine. There was a winery employee at each station with a good knowledge of the wines that they were willing to share if you wished.

The pours of wine were not large, but there was no limit to the number of pours you could receive. I guess that I had about a glass and a half of wine throughout the evening. Since we were there about 3 hours I felt that I was still able to drive. Their wines are remarkably good! I would be happy to order them anywhere and to serve them in my house. The glass was included in the $20 pp cost.

The cheese selections were, for the most part, well thought out, albeit a little on the careful side. There were tasting notes about each of the wines on a sheet given out as you entered, but there were more pictures of the cheeses and additional notes posted around the rooms. No one could complain about the amount of cheese served! Each plate had three cheeses on it and each sample had more than a 1/2 oz. portion of each of the cheeses. So that a total of about 4-5 oz. of cheese. I thought it was a good value! My favorite cheese pairings are marked with italics. Please note that I am a great lover of blue cheeses! ;)

Station 1
PINOT GRIGIO 2007 paired with Tour de Marze Brie, Jarlsberg and Monterey Jack.
CHARDONNAY 2005 paired with Camembert, Jarlsberg and Medium Cheddar

Station 2
ROSATO DE SANGIOVESE 2007 paired with Manchego, Black Diamond White Cheddar and Tour de Marze Brie
MERLOT 2005 paired with Manchego, Gruyere and Jarlsberg

Station 3
PETIT VERDOT 2004 paired with Gruyere, Black Diamond White Cheddar and Tour de Marze Brie
OCTOBER HARVEST (Icewine) paired with Gorgonzola Dolce, Point Reyes Blue and Roaring Forties Blue

Are you asking about resort check-in for your return trip? If so, the answer is YES!
