Before I post on the WFD thread, does anyone here know an easy way to remove the stems from mushrooms? I make crab and cheese stuffed mushrooms, but getting the stem out is a pain in the tushy.

Elin- That new program sounds a little odd. I hope it works for the kids and that you have little issues learning it or teaching it.

Theresa- Thanks for the update on Denise.

Amy- Thank you for the positive report on your friend. I hope it really is nothing. I think her next step is to see an endocrinologist. Apparently the girls pediatrician who is also her girls dr was working at the hospital when Dana was admitted and mentioned it to her when she brought Katelyn in for her check up. Her theory is that her body may be producing too much adrenaline.

Thanks everyone! He is excited about it for a few reasons. One of them is that they have state mandated & funded gifted schools which solves our dilemma with Daniel. We wouldn't have a huge school bill & he would be getting the quality of education he is currently receiving. Of course the cost of living there is way better than what we have here. We would get alot more for our money as far as a home is concerned...and with all this savings more trips to Disney! It's alot to think about...I love NYC but I hate the taxes & the snow. I will keep all of you posted...thanks again for the thoughts!

Great pictures. The girls are getting so big. I don't think I realized how big Virginia is.

So we've have what blue ****s before, right? Wait til you hear this!!

I blew my nose just a minute ago and was shocked to find my snot a lovely shade of bright blue!

Can you guess where it came from?

We've had lots of heavy rain here overnight and this morning. I did not bring the kids to swimming lessons as I cannot imagine standing in the rain waiting for them. I would have easly been just as wet as them. I really couldn't believe that lessons weren't cancelled, but there was no lightning The news stations are reporting alot of flooding and roads washed out though not in our immediate area.

I used the extra time this morning to clean our room. I also got the cable attached to the computer in there that allows the digital tv to be used as the computer monitor. Now if I get the cable tv rerouted we will be able to eliminate the computer monitor and old tv

Laundry is caught up and the floors are vacuumed. It is nice to get some things accomplished that I hadn't expected to.

We've not heard much in regards to my uncle. My dad spoke to his wife this morning and she was heading to the funeral home but no one has heard from her as of yet. I did speak to my cousin Sue and she sounded tired but ok. I think she is shocked more than anything. My uncle's wife called her last night and simply said "He's gone." At first Sue just thought that he had finally left her.

My dad is taking it very hard. I feel so horrible for him as this is certainly not what he had in mind for the start of his retirement, his last day was last Friday. On top of all the drama with my sister he now has this.

2 kids I used to watched lived on grape Koolaid. I needed sunglasses to change their diapers.
