I am supposed to have a cake done for noon tomorrow but am not just in the mood. The cake and icing are made but I have no desire to fool with decorating. I imagine it's not getting done at this point but the idea of doing it with the kiddos isn't too appealing!!! Eric is off tomorrow so I'll have to persuade him to watch the kiddos while I work on the cake.

I should head to bed I have a long day tomorrow. I'm still hobbling around and not driving yet. I gotta get my act together and get things done for work and my trip. Shirts are dyed, the designs are printed out, for the most part they are cut out and need to be ironed on. I gotta start packing.

So much to do, so little time.

I had severely cracked nipples, bleeding, etc -- I'm so sorry! As for yeast, I don't know first hand but I hear that it's a stinging, shooting pain (more internal than superficial at the nipple).

I hope the cream helps! Lanolin before nursing might be a good barrier until they heal. Good luck!

thanks Jennifer I did not have this problem with Olivia sometimes their is a stinging feeling but not always is what my OB said. I was able to sneak next door to her office while at work and they are the ones that ordered the cream.

My dad just called and told me that my uncle (his eldest brother) died this afternoon. I don't know much details other than his wife left this morning and he seemed fine and came home to find him dead. They live in Wisconsin and I imagine just my dad and other uncle (the middle brother) will head out there soon. The cousins that we just visited over the 4th are his kids.

yup....laid me up for a week or so. Two days were so bad that Cassidy went for day long play dates so it could be just Abi and I. Abi was about the same age as Virginia.

I get to lay and hang all my undergarments out in the sun tomorrow if it shows thru the clouds. as well as all her toys, my pump parts her bottles and sippy cup. I wonder about my spoons? I dont use a dishwasher so I know the water is not that hot. What do you think. Sunlight kills the yeast spores.

Yes -- my doc called it thrush. It was one of the most painful things I've ever been through. If I hadn't been so determined to keep nursing, I would have stopped right then and there. I literally cried through each feeding. Good luck -- sending lots of PD!

I called Virginia's Dr today and told him what I was experiecing and that she had no white patches in her mouth. He called out some nystatin for her.

Thanks everyone! He is excited about it for a few reasons. One of them is that they have state mandated & funded gifted schools which solves our dilemma with Daniel. We wouldn't have a huge school bill & he would be getting the quality of education he is currently receiving. Of course the cost of living there is way better than what we have here. We would get alot more for our money as far as a home is concerned...and with all this savings more trips to Disney! It's alot to think about...I love NYC but I hate the taxes & the snow. I will keep all of you posted...thanks again for the thoughts!
