DDA Chapter 10

Jennifer, I didn't have thrush, but I have never experienced pain like that of a cracked nipple (and I have two tattoos!).

I even broke the leg of our coffee table, because I chose to kick it, rather than scream when Matthew latched on.

I hope you feel better ASAP!

Robyn, I'm so sorry for your loss.

I also have been meaning to tell you that my best friend had a heart issue about six months ago, and the doctors never figured out an official diagnosis. It seems to be under control now, and she's back to teaching Jazzercise, but your friend's experience sounds very similar. Lots of :wizard: for her!

I baked two cakes today, since for the second time this summer, I dropped the one bag of groceries with the eggs. Matty's party is less than two weeks away.

I know, once you find the motivation, your cake will be amazing! :)

Kevin took Alyssa to her first soccer practice tonight, and he came home an assistant coach! :upsidedow

thanks,
I am going to try to keep her off the left side tonight.

Our flight to Atlanta was basically without incident. We had a 30 minute delay since the plane was late arriving from JFK. Seems our crew started out the day in Panama! From there they went to JFK, then Richmond and finally Atlanta.

I have free internet but it is S L O W as all get out. So, I think I will say goodnight and I will see you all in the morning before I head out to my seminar. :goodvibes

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Same thing happened to me 24 years ago only I was the coach! ;)

Jen, I hope you are finally resting comfortably tonight. Popsicles will definitely be your friend!

Janet, I know I missed you, but I hope you have a magical trip! (Thanks for letting us know they got to WDW safely, Chanon.)

Beth, great pictures from St. Louis. I've never had White Castle or Sonic, but I love Culvers and Chick-fil-a!

Bernadette, your sewing projects are fantastic!

Anne-Marie, lots of :wizard: for Dana and you as you contemplate his possible job change and moving South!

Marci, welcome home. I'm sorry you lost so much time to the hassle of traveling out of the country. Any pictures to post?

Theresa, I hope your teeth/mouth continue to feel better.

I know I'm missing details, but my brain is shutting down...actually, I don't think it was working at all today! :teeth:

I think my second cake is finally cool enough to stick in the freezer, so I'm headed upstairs. Noah knows exactly when my head hits the pillow, so I'm sure I'll be up for a little while longer.

Noah had his one month appointment today. He's up to 9 pounds, 11 ounces, and he's 22 1/2 inches long. :goodvibes

My grandparents are arriving tomorrow and staying for one night. I have no idea how much nagging my grandma had to do to get my grandpa to agree to this, but hopefully we will have a wonderful visit!

Hope you all are having a good week!
Amy :)

Considering neither of us know a thing about soccer, the next 2 months should be very interesting! :teeth:

I hope your seminar is captivating! :thumbsup2

Sounds like Noah is chugging right along there, Amy! :goodvibes

I hope your visit with your grandparents is delightful. How exciting for your children to have their great grandparents to visit them.

You and the team will all learn soccer together. We called it bunch ball at that age. I have some wonderful memories of coaching that team. I learned a lot of things about human nature in general as well as a lot about myself that season!

Captivating might describe our quick visit to Stone Mountain on our way back to the airport this afternoon.

I think there needs to be another adjective to describe the seminar. Yamaha Music Education has opted to throw out a curriculum that I have loved teaching for the past 12 years or so and is replacing it with a very media-driven program for our 4-6 year old groups. It is full of Pokemon-like creatures and singing songs that make no sense to me that are contained on coordinating CDs and DVDs that are very Japanese anime' in style. The piano repertoire looks OK, but the singing songs leave me cold.

I am hoping that once I see that my students love it, so will I. But the seminar is led by an instructor that is just not my cup of tea, so I will be headed into this thing with a bit of a doubting-Thomas chip on my shoulder. That being said, I hope to learn a lot in the upcoming 8 hours; enough at least to teach a course in less than a month!

As I sit here very close to where Denise lives I am wondering if anyone knows how her surgery went? I would call to check on her if I knew it would not disturb.

I have been looking at the initial offerings for the Food & Wine Festival and see a couple that I might try to book. Does anyone know anything about "Baked in Brooklyn" and its two owners, Matt Lewis and Renato Poliafito? They are the featured duo at the 9/28 "Sweet Sundays" offering.

There are two wine and food pairings that I might also be interested in:
Mediterranean Flavors
Restaurant Marrakesh, Morocco Pavilion: Tuesday, September 30
Tastes of Italy
Tutto Italia, Italy Pavilion: Saturday, September 27

I am afraid if our plane is late or anything happens at all that I would miss the one at Tutto Italia, though. Every single change that Delta makes to our schedule gets us into Orlando later and later on Saturday. I am seriously thinking about looking into moving our Saturday flights to Friday and staying at the Hyatt in MCO or trying to add on another night at the Poly. I will have to check things out when I get home.

Two? :confused3

Okay TMI

Has anyone ever had a yeat infection on their nipples? They were sore Sun and yesterday. It was painful to nurse on the left yesterday. I went to pump today at work and the left one was hurting so bad that I had to stop thats when I noticed it was cracked and bleeding.:scared1: So my Dr. called in some triple nipple cream.

Kristi did with Connor and I know it wasn't fun. I hope the cream helps soon as you get better ASAP! Has Virginia avoided getting thrush at the same time? Connor did, but I don't remember if Kristi was a result of him or vice versa.

I have been thinking about her a lot lately, I haven't heard!
