Tom - I ditto what Janet said about Feb. My first trip with Rachel was that same week and it was just wonderful. Low crowds, good weather, perfect!

so the clutch plate in the AC compressor went out on the van on Monday so we have no cold air in the van only hot. I did not know he AC had a clutch plate. Thank goodness Kia has a great waranty, so it is covered. Bad thing is the part was not in stock. should be here Fri. sometime. I will be without AC in my van till Monday when I am off again. Texas heat and humidty with no AC is not fun. Plus they are calling for 102 for the high on Sat. hopefully it will start cooling off some by the time I leave work Sat. night.

Thanks, Leighanna's first trip was in February and we loved it then. A little cold in the evenings, but we could bundle up.
Hard to take off too much clothing to cool off without causing a sight! Plus we won't have to deal with the love bugs that we did last time.
They didn't really bother me, but Leighanna has a thing with bugs.... she either loves them or hates them!

Not sure where we are staying yet.....

.......Either POP or Beach Club depending on our finances and bonus expected........

I hope your computer connects flawlessly to the free wireless internet. I hope they remember to give you turn down service on the days you are staying conceirge. I hope they leave nice chocolates on your pillows.

I need some prayers...As I was online earlier, myb rother called and asked for mom--i knew something was wrong so i got mom and we found out Joe had been in a motorcycle accident. He was driving to the firehouse and a car swerved in his lane and was headed right towards him. He had to choose to get hit by the car or go towards to grass and dump his bike. So he went for the grass and there was a big ditch. Joe was knocked unconcious for a bit and we headed to the hospital around 1130..he is still there, my dad and I just came home for ab it and we are headed back. As of now, they think his shoulder and jaw may be broken. Im pretty much freaking out and i know how strong DDA prayer is...thanks

Hello all! Well, I guess I'm hoping that I still have a job on Monday. Since I was supposed to be off this week due to the big 2 being out of town, imagine my surprise when BigSis walked into our church program today. Apparently MomBoss and her mom got into a major major fight and the girls didn't go with them to Ohio. The fight part isn't a big surprise, but my getting the week off regardless kind of is. BisSis told Kristi that since MomBoss had said I might be off she decided just to have me off. (She's also told me from the beginning that they would be on vacation in late July so I'd have a week off.) Plus, when I saw MomBoss at pick up her demeanor didn't seem to imply anything out of the ordinary, but with the weirdness of the last few weeks I guess I'm not sure what to think. MomBoss said she'd call tomorrow to catch me up on what happens so we'll see, I guess.

What does your contract say about 1) Time off that the employer gives you and 2) Termination where you are not at fault? ExDadboss tried to tell me I "owed" them time back when they cancelled their vacation due to a hurricane. They told me to go ahead and take 3 of the days off and work the other 2, which I did. I had plans for the other days. When I came back to work they asked me to work some additional hours for free. Um, NO WAY! Nanny is NOT to be penalized or required to make up any hours she is not needed by the employers. My contract also states they have to give at least a 2 week notice if they are terminating me without just cause. Severance pay may be given in lieu of notice. Good luck!
