I was just reading about reservations on the DVC board. It sounds like if you call at your 11 month mark and try to book for a week, they will not allow you to book ANYTHING if the room is unavailable for your first night!

A lady called for a concierge studio at AKL. Not available the first night, but available the next 6. They wouldn't let her book savannah view for night 1 followed by concierge for nights 2-7! They told her she had to call back the next day! When she called back the studio was gone, giving her NO days in a concierge studio! That will chap my fanny!

I guess I will call for a concierge studio and if I can't get one we'll take a value one bedroom (not concierge) and waitlist for the concierge studio. IF that is permitted!

We just got back from a wonderful, albeit long, dinner. Our reservations were for 7:00 and we were seated a little before that. It was a little after 9:00 when we left the restaurant.

The meal was wonderful, and SO fresh. We shared appetizers of prosciutto
& melon with pecorino cheese and a caprese salad drizzled with a balsamic reduction. Entrees were organic chicken parmesan for Bob, prosciutto-wrapped tilapia served on a bed of shrimp risotto for Kristin and a Tuscan seafood stew (full of shrimp, scallops, fish and mussels) for me. A great bottle of wine for Kristin and me and a couple of Stella's for Bob and we came home happy campers!

So it sounds like there could be some exciting news for our family tonight. My cousin is running in the primaries for State Representative in OK. The latest results are really close. I'm hoping he can pull it off. He's only 28, but has been really involved in local polictics for awhile and has the support of the outgoing Representativ.

Well, 100% now reporting and Jared lost. Only by 2% (66 votes) though and his competitor was a lot older and more known in the area so all in all it wasn't a bad showing.

I think that's a pretty good showing his first time out.

I am going to WDW. The DAY AFTER TOMORROW! I am starting to get that jittery feeling.

I am up early today because DH left about 4:45 and I couldn't go back to sleep, but I was asleep before that. DS and I have a couple of errands to run today before we pick Princess up from camp, but it's not enough to really make the time pass any faster.

Hope the time passes quickly!! for the day after tomorrow.

I finally heard from my girlfriend, the one who left her DD's party early. Come to find out Dana was having chest pains and went to the hospital where they admitted her for the night. They ruled out a heart attack, which I am very thankful for as I've already had one friend in her 30's who had one. Apparently her heart is racing uncontrollably and they can't determine the cause. She is on blood pressure medicine and they have switched that so hopefully that will do the trick.

Though our avatar and signature are outdated (I relayed your message to Kevin, Marci! ), I finally got some pictures uploaded to Photobucket. I'll warn you, there are 140 of them, but that's only a small percentage of the several hundred pictures we've taken this month.

I bought a cute little swim skort thing at Ross today for $6. It's solid navy, which is great because I have 2 tankini tops with navy in them! I have it in the wash now so I can pack it!

DH survived his day, but tomorrow and Thursday he won't have anyone helping him so it could be ugly. He said the stores are way out yonder past Marci's neck of the woods.

Oh my! I live over 45 miles from you. Where in the heck is your DH going? I hope today passes quickly. You should have seen me trying to try on swimsuits last night. I have tons of them, in all different sizes. Since my shoulder is messed up, I had to ask DH to help me. He was a fairly good sport, but I could tell he didn't see the allure of trying on every swimsuit before a trip...

You are doing Citricos right? Have you been before? I just booked this today & we have never been..believe it or not it was the only thing open for 8/27. I called for Kona, Ohana, WCC, GF Cafe, Plaza, Cali Grill, Wave, & Tony's & that was all that was left. We scrapped a Epcot day for MK so I a was shuffling adr's.

We enjoyed Citrico's and took the kids. We didn't dress up a lot -- I think I had on a skirt and top that were fairly casual, and the boys had on nice shorts with polo shirts. Randy probably wore a Tommy Bahama shirt with a pair of their shorts as well. You will see all kinds of clothes there.

I tell ya -- maintenance on a house never ends. The electrician called to say they are finally going to install the ceiling fan in my master bath. Thank goodness -- I've been sweating trying to get ready in the mornings/evenings. It is just too hot outside. My carpenter ants seem to be back, and the plumber needs to get to the house before our nephew and his fiance show up next week.

Well tomorrow I turn the big 4-0!!! (So does Dana, we were born on the same day).

This year I thought it would be fun to make cards for each other rather than buy them. The kids helped me with their card making kits..they also had scrapbooking sets & gave me some papers to use too..some glitter glue, a picture of us, & some mushy mush & the card is done.
