Good morning, DDA!

Elin - Sounds like a fun day. Happy birthday to Kristin!

Robyn - Glad that Dana is doing okay. I hope the meds help her anxiety. I know they do wonders for Phil sometimes.

Jen - Glad you got some sleep! I'm sure you needed it.

Glynis - Love the nativity idea.

Janet - TWO DAYS!!!  Good luck finishing up packing, etc.

Thanks, I hope they help her out too.

Well, I had better get dressed. I've got to run and get tortillas for lunch. We need something quick as Kaylin's birthday party is here today. It was supposed to be a swimming party, but this morning has been rainy and thundery. Seems to have cleared out some though so maybe the swimming will be a go.

Have a good day everyone! Since I haven't heard anything otherwise, I'm headed to work in the morning and thus a little less catching up time. The girls start school in about two weeks so hopefully things will ease up then. The internet at the house will be more accessible. Plus, if they end up going to the church's school I may be spending more time at our house. I just can see driving 25-30 min north, then back to 2 miles from my house, then back north, back again and back again. It would be 100-125 miles a day that way. I guess we'll see where they are going to school (yes as of a week ago that was still undecided and school starts on the 13th or 18th depending on the decision) and go from there.

Jennifer- How cute is Elise's new trick. It amazes how mobile babies are when they aren't very mobile at all. And I love their new shoes. Too cute.

No kidding! This morning, we can't keep either of them on their gym mat when they're on their bellies :rotfl: It's especially funny when they're mad and kicking.... then they can really propel themselves!

Well, we bit the bullet and will be disconnecting our land line. Funny thing, when we were wrapping up the call, he told me that I might still hear a dial tone and could dial out for 911 calls only. Not that I want to try that. But the phone will be turned off tomorrow. Whoever has the DDA list, could they update it? Could it be emailed to me? Thanks

So for those of you going in Aug/have gone in Aug......any reason that we should take a long pair of pants or a jacket?

NOPE!!!!!

ETA:
Maybe a light sweater ot sweatshirt for the restaurants. I've found the coldest was Sci Fi... I think they do that so you eat fast & they can turn out more tables.

Good morning...

Emma and I really enjoyed our time out yesterday. Kit was really cute and Emma really liked the movie. It had a great message and both of us were in tears throughout various parts of it.

We had to run some errands at Target and then she went to her friend's little brother's birthday party. Eric, Mo, Lucy and I went to Cheeseburger in Paradise for dinner. Then we went to BJ's and picked up the Hannah Montana for the Wii. I dropped Eric and Lucy off and Mo and I went to pick up Emma and we ended up with her friend as well. The 3 of them had a blast playing the new game. And Tammi, they all liked the shopping part best too!!

Today we are headed to Dana's for a cookout. She called me and told me that all of her tests showed absolutely no problems with her heart. They now think most of the problems are anxiety related, in which she agrees, so they have given her some meds to help with that. Hopefully she is on the upswing. I told her the next time she needs help to just ask me. She is an only child and her mother at most times is rather unreliable and more so unpredictable. Thanks for the good thoughts.:goodvibes

Sounds like a great day, yesterday!

I'm so happy that Dana's problem is not heart related! I'm sure it was really scary for her. You are a great friend to be there for her!

Deb - did you do the 450 ft. or the 600 ft. parasailing? And how old is Colby. Sammy's website says "over 5 yrs. old" Does 5 yrs and 9 months mean "over 5 yrs. old"? Bethany is 5 now, and I thought Colby is as well. He parasailed, right?

We did the 450 ft. We also said the Colby was 6 :rolleyes1 He will be soon enough. He had no problems fitting into the harness. I'm sure Alyssa would fit fine too.

That is true you can call 911 even if your service is disconnected. Old Cell Phones will call 911 too if you ever need it :thumbsup2

I have to be at work in 45 minutes. I suppose that I should get ready. I'm not really feeling much like working. We spent a few hours this morning working on cutting wood. I started raining so that ended. We also found a newborn baby bird on the forest floor. No other babies, or the parents or the nest around :confused3 We ended up taking it to VINS which is a local bird reserve. They are going to take care of it until it is ready to be release. The kids were so happy to help save the little guy. It was too young to determine what kind of bird it was. The kids named him "Lucky"

It looks like we may be heading to Hershey, PA for a vacation next summer. The kids want to go to Hershey Park and my brother wants to hit the Nascar race at Pocono. The race is today this year, so I'd assume it will be the same weekend next year. Anyone up for a Hershey Park meet?:confused3

Well the suitcases are out of the attic...I am so unmotivated to pack. I have a "pile" in my room of stuff ready to go into bags.(where's the Fairy Godmother when you need her? ):rotfl2:

I would love to do a meet but hopefully we will be in Disney this time next year...fingers crossed, feet crossed, eyes crossed!:teeth:

Robyn glad to hear all is well with your friend!

Jen glad you were able to get a goods night sleep!

Deb a vacation to Hershey Park sounds like fun, happy planning!

Anne Marie you have plenty of time to pack, don't stress to much!

Here was today's project! I first tried glue and staples - and that didn't work so I broke out the needle and thread. Kept the staples in on Bob's hat and it seems to work just fine! Since he really doesn't wear a hat on rides at Disney, I think we'll be OK. Mine has metal loops attached to the ears and we just poked those through the hat and then used a needle and thread to finish it off. Cut the bow in half - it was too much. (Though anything pink to me is too much, but I couldn't remove the bow and flower without damaging the ears...)

...actually, I bought Bob a black polo with Tigger on it and mine is white with Goofy. So we will be matching! (But robes might be another story! :rotfl: )
