They have little hairy like things on their legs which "grab" the wall.
I've even met Cindyluwho and live close to her! Maybe we could go visit her and ask them!OooOoo![]()
You know who would know this? Cindyluwho's chickens! They are very knowledgable about ants!

Ants have six legs. Each leg has two sharp claws at the end that help the ant dig tunnels and climb walls and ceilings without falling.
They have duct tape on their feet.
So do I but I can't walk on walls. It does help hold my socks up though.![]()

DD and I just looked it up and discovered ants can carry 10 to 20 times their body weight! Pretty incredible!I haven't seen too many ants on walls (lucky me?) but I *do* see them carrying unbelievably large loads. That is astounding to me. How dey do dat?![]()
Personally, I like to envision Mission: Impossible-style suction-cup climbing going on.

Inconceivable! (I love that word!)DD and I just looked it up and discovered ants can carry 10 to 20 times their body weight! Pretty incredible!
She has great ideas!Outlander, she has also decied that you like her because you posted on her gumdrop thread too!

she comes up with some good ones! The other day it was, 'why do people cut down all the trees and pollute the air? Some day all the air is going to be polluted.'It's amazing to me the really good questions these kids can think up!!!
She also asked me what my dreams were for my life. That's just a little too deep for an 8 year old.
That is too funny! How funny, my 7 year old son just asked that same question yesterday! I told him "we'll have to look it up on the internet" but we didn't get around to it. So now I can tell him what I've learned.
I love ants (as long as they outside the house, and not fire ants). They are amazing.
